Thankfully, I have only been in them for 3 years but at times it felt a lot lot longer...have also wondered where the time has gone....:-)
Sorry Del, a little drunk last night, and wondering where the years have gone since first buying FTO. Nothing personal, I assure you, just a bit emotional. What the hell did anyone of us really know about FTO?
Thanks nickyg...as usual your comments have been most helpful to the board here...;-) I clearly upset you somewhere along the Fortune Oil line...LOL...
Thanks
Payment of the Cash Consideration to Fortune Oil Shareholders will be made by 23 March 2015
Does anyone know when the 10P will be in our account - I have/had these shares in a Barclay's ISA?
I would suggest, that Del boy knows F... all, as anyone else of us, and possibly less. Take your money and run, and if you couldn't hack FTO, don't gamble, and if any advice might be offered, ( from another difficult pursuit), take the advice of a man who gambled all, and said , even though a few words are changed, " Deal if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste,; look well to each step; and from the beginning think well what may be the end". Ave Atque Vale, FTO.......
I've looked at LGO but I'm not sure how exploration of such low volume can cope with unexpected costs or disappointments. I think I'm going to plump for FTSV because I'm a solar power believer - not sure about the Shard address though - I'd prefer real money to go to the industrial part fo the company. Maybe half to IGAS so thanks for that suggestion - it looks like the price has life.
Where next? It would be hard to find another FTO, which could be a relief to disgruntled "long termer's". I GAS has,(I think) potential as a share which fluctuates, and sounds cheap at the moment at under 30p, so I might put my final profit from FTO into that, as a complete gamble and see where it goes. Fracking sounds as speculative a venture as FTO,s ventures, without risking dealing with the Chinese, who are tricky to deal with. By the way, I wonder how many people lost money investing in FTO. Cannot be many, I suggest, though there will be many who feel that they have been hard done by. Not losing money is a success, even if it takes 20 years not to lose it!
I hope Mr c has lost of property in London so our good Chancellor can turn him inside out with mansion tax just like he did with us.
The 10p will be paid into your ISA according to my broker.
Thank you Daniel Chiu and thank you LSE! Strangely my anger has strengthened - maybe I shouldn't look at CGH any more.
on what happens if the shares were held in an ISA?
A sad day indeed, as a good number of us enjoyed a regular small income off FTO.For those who bought in at 10 p or more, hard cheese, but that is the way it goes. What a lot of hot air.
I did not think any cheques posted before 23rd. However, as part of my holding is in a SIPP I shall be told by the stockbroker when it arrives. I shall report then
Cheques for those who are certified holders should begin coming your way from tomorrow....and should all be settled by around the 23rd of March... Keep an eye on this board just in case there is any news updates regarding anything related to FTO or cvr payment of further court news.....I do hope London South East keep this board open.... Cheers everybody...and good luck...:-)

The last trade was an UT. It was the effective price of FTO at that time. The sp is only a reflective indication of the price at any given moment. Today it is 10p......Nobody gets the half penny difference as there is no trade.....but someone may lose a half penny on the trade!!
The current price showing of 10.5p is I believe the price on Suspension last week. Although the now confirmed offer is 10p a share, who gets this extra half penny?
From alanadale, who asked me to post.... Its not over till the fat lady sings and she hasn't sung yet. Watch this space!!!
Thank you BruceJamieson
