Whilst $0.8m may not sound massive whats more significant is that the contract is with a leading RF test equipment company in the USA. FTC building a good reputation in the most lucrative market there is. The future looks very bright.
Just back from work been too busy so missed the mini rise! So I’ll hang fire, so she goes up another 5% tmrw!
Are you in yet dougerboy?
I’m tempted to buy a few more but really have sufficient already!
Good luck
I’m buying more tomorrow baz
Hopefully there will be a brief note issued on the morning of the AGM that is scheduled for the 28th October. Reckon we’re just drifting with a few bored sellers moving out.
There appears to be a very good ‘story’ developing at Filtronic though. Very happy to hold on tight!!
Eh..., or maybe not. Much lower & im buying more.
Long may this continue. Looks like the market is taking note of what the new CEO Richard Gibbs & his team are doing. One of Richard’s previous companies, was/is good at acquiring well fitting businesses - maybe part of a 5 year FTC strategy. So I think this has a long way to go, though I’ll probably take some off the table if we keep pushing on like this.
FTC perky today!
Correctamundo Smart. Richard Gibbs - a great seasoned industrial components & products exec. Understands Industrial Distribution Sales Channels, Product Management & Roadmaps, Factory Automation, Cellular Manufacturing and so on. He was a contemporary of mine and many other great Honeywellers including Tom Frame VP Europe for Honeywell who was a superb Operations guy. Not forgetting Leo Quinn former Qinetiq CEO. I can see within 5 years a buyer coming for Filtronic. With spare cash I’m going to add.
Turned a Profit in a pandemic, cash in hand, stronger order book, improved customer forecasts and increased opportunities. Congratulations Filtronic!
Figs out this morning - solid progress made, new contracts - up they go.
Looks a very well written confident report. Good to see that Richard Gibbs has mentioned, words to the effect, that there are no hidden skeletons! Also confidence in the forward looking statements. No fireworks but it looks like things are moving on very well indeed.
I’ve been topping up over the last 18 months or so! Best I buy no more!
Believe that Mr Gibbs will instil real impetus here!
With revenue of approximately £15.6m and EBITDA of approximately £1.8m the market cap of £24m seems incredibly low. This company is on the leading edge of 5g/6g next generation technology with an incredibly talented team. I keep topping up on a regular basis now as I believe it’s only a matter of time before the market wakes up to what this company is sitting on!
Richard Gibbs certainly seems to be moving Filtronic in the right direction. He’s opened up several new marketing channels and there has also been a brand refresh. Hopefully the £numbers over the next 12-18 months will start to bear evidence of progress. My hope is for a positive forward looking statement on Tuesday morning of next week.
I’ve watched a lot of CEO interviews but Richard Gibbs knocks the ball out the park when it comes to his breadth of technical and market knowledge. Well worth the watch if you have any interest in investing in Filtronic.

@dougerboy I imagine it has something to do with next week’s trading update. I myself have just topped up this morning and intend to top up again tomorrow.
I wonder who stuck in 10 Grand today? Wish I had a spare 10k.
Interesting
Great to see Filtronic on the move at last and well deserved!
There certainly seems to be a fresh approach by the BOD to promote the company in light of the uplift in the Business.
Happy holder!
And up a further 7%, despite no news. I have been expecting these to rerate, especially given that last year they had a recruitment drive for new engineers and a new office in the US. Hopefully, it is insider info for a takeover or a huge order for equipment.
One thing that I have also noticed is a sudden new interest in small Aim manufacturing stocks, such as ftc and lpa. The sp of these companies have been languishing at very low levels this year and definately due for a re-rating.
Not seen any news. Any ideas on a reason for the current 8% gain ?
Filtronics american division up 32%! somethings definately going on here... https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/fltcf
Dustbin.... Quite right there my friend .. TR1 due then over 3%, any idea why the trade has gone through? Any news.. strange it has not directly affected the share price? Although we are now up 11% on L2
