YA II - Appellee
FRR - Appelant
A judgment made on 14th October seems to have gone FRR's way -
"Today the court heard appellant’s motion to dismiss the appeal from the order signed by the court below on June 22, 2020. Having considered the motion and found it meritorious, we order the appeal DISMISSED."
We further order that all costs incurred by reason of this appeal be paid by appellant, Frontera Resources Corporation.
We further order this decision certified below for observance.
WHEREFORE, WE COMMAND YOU to observe the order of our said Court in this behalf and in all things have it duly recognized, obeyed, and executed.
WITNESS, the Hon. Tracy Christopher, Chief Justice of our Fourteenth Court of Appeals, with the Seal thereof affixed, at the City of Houston, Texas, October 14, 2021."
Seems odd that if they won they then had to pay the costs...?
So we have to pay costs, even though we won??
Its only the court costs - approx US$816.00
I should have added this was an FRR motion, not YA II, so I think them paying the admin fees is routine.
Looed, why would FFR need to pay costs if the court rules in their favour…?
Little bit confusing that to me..!
Lifeishard - this motion was brought by FRR so the costs are only the admin charges related to the appeal. it does not mean they are responsible for lawyers fees etc or any other charges, just the filing and recording fees.
If it helps you can check this link, as you can see the costs are merely a summary of admin related charges at various stages of the case.

Many thanks yet again Looed
Looed,
Your doggedness in investigating and bringing to light any (and every) crumb of news plus your insightful commentary is second-to-none!
Can't thank you enough for your continuous persistence in this most unfortunate FRR matter.
I hope someday soon all long-suffering shareholders get a positive outcome.
Thank you!
Thanks The_Gambler. Hopefully we won't have to keep it up for more longer!
I wrote to H/L today hoping to get
an answer about FRR. As long as it is discussed
on this Board one must assume FRR is not yet dead though
on life support. Cut off any time?
MY H/L correspondence is making progress.
