Origin, which has begun drilling in the Beetaloo Basin in the Northern Territory, said exploration was progressing well and that first results were expected in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2020.
Here is the presentation. Says preparing to drill horizontal. Spudded Oct 9th. Production test Q3..which starts January I believe.

We are in fiscal year Q2 now. Q3 starts January.
Beetaloo starts page 50 in the presentation....
I'm gonna be old as f'n dirt before we get results. What 9-10 more months? Ugh !!!! Don't want to see my blonde hair turn gray before we get bought out !! Guess I'm running a bit low on patience.....I've believed in this company...Hope this bird comes through. Wine & frustration talking now....lol

VegasGal: Maybe just some grey highlights! Per the Origin report EPT results should be completed Q4 FY2020 (Apr - Jun 2020). We can be optimistic and look for them in April.
'Preparing to drill horizontal' in the Origin report leads one to believe the vertical has been completed. Unless POQ lets us down we should see some type of news release soon - that is my interpretation of the 4-5 news release stages.
I don't see any reason for Falcon/Origin keeping the Kyalla a tight hole - Falcon's acreage contains 100% of the Kyalla Shale in the Beetaloo. Come on POQ - help us out a little here!!
WW - Is the vertical the appraisal well and if it is what will Origin be able to conclude if anything on completion of this part of the drill?
Schlemiel: Origin/Falcon have a lot of data points on the Kyalla. The vertical hole confirms to them that the Kyalla shale at that location contains the same expected rock characteristics, depth and thickness. If the shale is as expected and they know the depth and thickness then they can calculate from what depth to whip out a horizontal hole so as to land the horizontal leg in the middle of the Kyalla shale. We are getting into Nano's or a PEs territory but there will be an analysis done on the core/cuttings that can tell them TOC, rock structure, and many other things which I don't understand. These wells are so expensive you want to give yourself the best chance possible. Once the horizontal is drilled then the frac job automatically follows. As they drill through the Kyalla they will likely get some gas shows but still at the end of the day even if the gas/liquids (TOC) is in place the success is dependent on how well the Kyalla can be fractured - From previous wells and cores Origin has been encouraged at how well the Kyalla samples appeared to frac - but the real tell is when the frac trucks hit the location and start working their magic with up to 9000 pounds per square inch of pressure.

Cheers for that fella
Appreciated
WW Quote: "Come on POQ - help us out a little here!!". :)) WW, your wish has been granted. Based on the timing, looks like POQ had his finger on the RNS release button at nearly the same time of your request. Ask, and you shall receive. This is really good news for all of us. Hopefully this is the beginning of the RNS roll.
WW-
You are correct that "time will tell us what we have or do not have". At this point while we have a bit of a lift in the share price, it is obvious the selling is still abundant. Personally I believe, for all his good intentions, POQ would have better served his shareholders in having made a JOINT announcement with Origin, or better yet at this point, they ALONE. My guess is the share price would be CONSIDERABLY higher if Origin had made the release. It is that lingering trail of POQ pronouncements that continue to weigh on the shares. I know he is trying, but the facts are what they are. Philip, keep your chin up, you are learning some valuable management lessons.
