Those qualities impressed a company called Vemo Education, which vets students at Purdue and a handful of other schools on behalf of potential investors. More important, perhaps, Wroblewski believes in herself and her ability to make good on the contract. “Even with all my other loans, I knew I could make it work,” says Wroblewski.
Americans owe $1.5 trillion in higher education debt, a burden that weighs down their dreams and the U.S. economy. The Federal Reserve says millennial's are now less likely to buy homes than young people were in 2005, and even senior citizens find themselves still making payments on their student loans. Wall Street sees the crisis as an opportunity. College graduates on average earn $1 million more over their lifetimes. Investors could capture some of that wage premium for themselves.
Multiple experts talked about how tobacco companies have already been in the vaporizer market for years now, so they could easily start producing vapes that use cannabis oil once they’re allowed to. “An obvious way to get in there is to simply be a producer of what is now liquid nicotine and then just incorporate CBD and THC oils to use in a vaporizer,” Shea says.
Based on the investments these companies have made and what experts are saying, it seems that tobacco companies will be getting into cannabis vaping products, cannabis cigarettes, the medical cannabis sector, producing raw cannabis and more. On one end of the scale, these companies will likely be involved in the production of cheap cannabis cigarettes that may resemble something like a pack of Marlboros. On the other end, they’ll likely also be making the fanciest, most expensive medical marijuana consumption devices. It’s clear their fingerprints will be all over the industry.
While tobacco companies are being cautious so far, they’re already investing in the cannabis space, positioning themselves to grab hold of the market as soon as they’re allowed to. It seems major changes are ahead — once legalization finally occurs.
“The kind of things that happen when you have a product being taken over by corporate interests are quite dramatic,” Glantz says.
Time to get the crystal ball out again...
British American Tobacco noted during its first-half report in June that it anticipates global cigarette volume will be down 3.5% this year. With the Canadian cannabis industry looking to add $5 billion in sales once the industry is fully ramped up,
Big Tobacco may have little choice but to seek partnerships and investment opportunities to stay relevant in the eyes of investors.
PROPER JOB THAT
Build first then list.
When it lists it will be a self sustaining Power Plant. There's a lot more to come re EMMAC
Keep your eyes peeled for the next "Experts"
"far out, man".
out about the Emmac acquisition.
The holding in Factom in 2017 sept and 2018 both indicated 400000 shares held , with a slight value increase in 2018, however in 2018 there is the additional valuation of £4,599,000 for "Safe advance" which is eight times more than Factoms share valuation . So once this is listed in shares it may be the missing 1.63 %, after the inclusion of the money invested in Factom from other sources. The cash holding has been reduced to £886,000 after Emac deal so the NAV is about 11p. Will FFWD be looking for a R.I. to bolster funds, we hope not, but it could be on the cards if they see something to invest in. 1 new share for every 4 held at 9p?
No doubt you younger sharper sloths will enlighten us, on any error we have committed, if we can find your answers when we look next!!!!! with the pages of posts on the FFWD site it is not easy to look back. Although they do appear to be less posts today. Hopefully the bickering will have stopped.
Quick look in as we were wondering if anything had come up at that meeting. Not looked at https://fstfwd.co/uploads/files/23/ffwd-presentation-master-investor-2019.pdf properly
Factom could possible have had other investment money from elsewhere thus reducing the FFWD %
Perhaps they reduced the Factom holding to fund another one. Who knows! But it is all just guess work.
The % held in each. would be nice to know along with the value invested in total
Shareholders in AIM stocks do not always get the information they should, and when they do it is often late.
We are still very happy with FFWD prospects at the moment, even though we keep getting these sales. The sales are possible just investors who feel they can do better elsewhere with their money and accepted a loss.
Unless we have a change of heart for some future reason then our holding will stay firm and may get added to just to reduce the average a little more, but we are not far off break even now.
Our holding in Factom is altogether a mystery; as you say, the percentage has fluctuated without explanation, and in addition, the touted further investment in Factom before a certain date late last year was never either confirmed or denied. No doubt this is due to the continuing delay in Factom B which, we have been assured on many occasions, is imminent, but remains elusive.
Would have been better to include the percentages held in each company we hold but that's just my gripe.
a frenzy of activity in the first two hours of trading, then nothing in the following two hours; this stock is almost totally out of the hands of retail buying and selling.
Yes, I think it will break out later today or tomorrow, perhaps with an RNS.
posts seem to have vanished....was he naughty?
Yes, slightly more buying than selling so far, but someone's still feeding the market with shares.
still flooding the market; more patience needed.
Ultra Ramper?
Of course when a stream a bubbling spring flows out from the mountains it's doing its thing and if a thirsty traveller helps himself, well that's fine.
When a bird sings it doesn't sing for the advancement of music but if somebody stops to listen and is delighted, that's fine.
And so I post in the same spirit, I don't have a group of followers and I'm not trying to make disciples as I work on the principle of a physician rather than a clergyman. A physician is always trying to get rid of his patients and send them away healthy to stand on their own feet.
Whereas a clergymen is trying to get them as members of a religious organisation so they will continue to pay their pledges.
Can't I leave you alone for a few hours without you starting up again? Where's the fly swat....?
Lol ...the Mafia of chat boards. ..I am shaking. . your following me around ..sad just sad.:-)nfact . laughable.
For clarity.
Whether I'm on this board tomorrow or barred from it for a week two weeks however long non of it matters in the slightest.
FFWD will keep on Fastforwarding and I'll continue doing my thing on Twitter and other channels.
The three of you have successfully razed this board to a level of glib ineptitude that it's not worth reading anyway.
To anyone who used to read the board for updates and speculation I'm assuming you know where to find me.
You can have the room Mani, Pred, Chils.
