I wonder what happened to the poster investinme ?
For such a polite poster I thought he might return to apologise but perhaps his manners were not quite as high as he imagined them to be?
Try the Freedom of Information act not sure if you will get any where with that but maybe worth ago.....
Great News i wonders for how much
Unsurprisingly quiet on here..
Since eve has 'passed' for us would there be much interest in still contributing ideas here?
(I'd better ask now before everyone stops visiting. )
Back to eve. Here's the new message on the eve site:
'Hi there. We are going through a few changes at the moment. We’ll be back on-line soon, so please bear with us!
If you have any questions about orders placed prior to 17/10/2022 please email es@kroll.com
If you’re looking to find out more about our amazing products or place an order you can send us a message using this link and we’ll get back to you ASAP:'
You’d struggle to imagine a situation where he didn’t / hasn’t.
Did Alan Rosenthal lose money here?
... when the criticism should be directed towards the EVEs board of directors in charge before administration — and then to just have the business sold without any consulting of shareholders —- why was an urgent shareholder meeting called before administration? This stinks!
To me, to you…
GP7; classic case of someone losing more than can afford - but handling it badly. Looks like I guessed correctly on the nature of the post.
Odd thing iOS that ‘too much’ was probably not, in fact, that much…
Amazing how quick you appear though... Amazing... As it was D Geeman just a few mins earlier... Its as though.... You are the same PERSON!!
ROFL
I suggest members go and take a look at the BOO thread, as it looks a lot like you trolling me :D
But what is creepy strange is using 2 accounts... AVCT thread know you do..... Its "common knowledge" as far as they are concerned.. You just try to hide it here, and for some reason people don't claim to see through you..
greg, given you just troll me and Dee, what pleasure does it give you?
You seem to quite happy to tell people when you are onto the stock but as you state you never say when you get out. (Some might consider that ramping)
You don't know that D& I are the same person and indeed we are not, but why are you so obsessed in making a complete prick of your self continually spouting both lies and also stuff that is of no interest to anyone but it would seem you?
Its really creepy strange.....
Oh D Geeman (Wyn) is back...
Please look back, I "ramped" EVE a long time ago and got out nicely on the spike. But unlike you I dont put every last piece of my life online to be discussed.... I would hardly say I have been "ramping" BOO, but I have been buying since 32p and am now at a nice profit there.
RE Eve again - I hardly think I was a massive "ramper" but I would suggest you and Wyn (your alter ego)
Played a game here which I find greatly untasteful.
I will now enjoy watching how both accounts seem to inhabit the exact same threads, and would encourage all on here to click on your name and look at the huge similarity in threads that you and wyndrum post on.
Considering there are 1000's of shares to invest in.. Its quite a co incidence.. And I don't believe in those.
It is also amazing, how you never ever disagree with each other...
Quite amazing.
Interesting that I can see a green box. I hope that GP7 has gone back to talking eve shares rather than trolling after he got caught ramping on Boo as well as eve :-))
WOSG, thats interesting.. Another board that Mrs D Geeman posts on despite saying she only had EVE shares
ROFL...
You need to keep an eye on those double accounts and their use!
Thanks for that Wyndrum.
Yanis, thats kind of you to say, particularly when everything is this raw.
And fwiw, that was always my intention.
My "philosophy" for want of a better expression is always, always to look at the downside first. Once I like a stock then I try and go through what could go wrong and what sort of chance is there that will happen and invest accordingly. Slower sales than forecast, chance of a general downturn, ultimate could go bust etc etc.
as an example I like WOSG for what I think will prove to be resilience in this down turn, growth and profit prospects and an already what looks to me an adjusted SP based on where it has recently been. (ultimately I think the market has over-reacted to this particular stock). Of course I could be completly wrong but I am content for now to see it swing quite a bit and where I can add a little on what seems a particular low. Its reults are due in a couple of weeks and I can re-ascess then if I have got it wrong or not and cut my losses if necessary, but unless its drastic I am happy to take a 12-36 month view on that one.
Its not so much a ramp but just trying to explain where I come from in my "reasoning"
Anyway, thanks again and I truly wish you all the best and the others here too, better luck (and that includes you too DGU, because ultimately I would want to believe you have (just like I did when it happened to me) learnt through this experience what maybe to look for when history seems to be repeating itself.
Wyn, fair play to you, you did provide some balance on this board. Looking back now I don’t believe you had any ulterior motives, I now think that (for whatever reason) you did it in the interest of grounding the conversation, pointing out the opposite scenario which is good. Thumbs up.
DGU, I know is hard but in my opinion we need to accept this and move on . We were screwed but there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. We need to accept it and learn from it and never repeat it.
Now all we can hope for is for some money to be left in the kitty for us shareholders, I doubt it, but hopefully there will be.
DGU, what good did it do you then, by caring?
Are you really telling me you think the worse of me soley on my not "caring" about a bed and mattress maker and seller?
Indeed Wyndrum; it was sort of obvious you never cared.
DGU, don't be so soft. (i bought one their hybrid mattresses, so I actually put £800 in their coffers. Did you?)
I bought EVE to make money. And I think this experience has shown you that you can even make money when a stock is failing (as I did on the 2 spikes recently). How did I do that? I did not "care" about EVE the company or their mission to improve humankind... just was there an opportunity to ride a wave realising that in these situations rumour will often provide wild swings.
There is nothing noble about being along term holder. It doesn't confer any extra status on a shareholder for the length of time they hold the stock.
And there were red flags about the management over the years so it was hardly the deception you seem to think it was. (I am pretty sure I may have mentioned it at the time...)
All that happened is that you became emotionally involved and could not bear the pain of taking the loss earlier and eventually got caught in the trap of hoping things would improve and closing your ears to any alternative scenario.
Now you get angry with (in this case me) for not being more sympathetic.
The idea is to make money and at worse to at least preserve as much capital as possible.
You seem to like high risk stocks presumably because of the potential high returns and therefore through greed, over-commit resources to them. And unfortunately based on your posts and have no idea how business operates or indeed the markets they operate in.
Anyway good luck for the future.
Obviously Wyndrum you never believed in EVE and making the world better for others by trying to improve sleep for as many as possible!
I did, as I suspect other longer term holders may have done also. It seems from what Bensons have announced they do too. It was just the bad management here I believe!
Suit yourself but nothing is going to change and yes when I start to lose money I usually close out.
Don't get emotionally attached to a stock.
All you have done is buy a betting slip. Don't love it because it wont love you back.
It sounds like you have learnt nothing from this experience.
Won’t you ever give it a rest Wyndrum?
You not one on then loyal longer term shareholders who has lost a lot here. I suspect your just a day trader trying to make as much as you can when others feel no option but to sell at a loss.
FWIW my experience of being in this situation is:
There is no comeback from the company for any explanation about anything.
You won't get anything back.
No one forced you to buy in the first place . no one forced you to hold on after the June statement or indeed top up or gamble on a more positive outcome.
There are disclaimers everywhere that says your capital is at risk.
Let it go, learn and move on.
