I think I understand now. The stakeholders who do not vote can skew the figures.
Interestingly on TW today most of the resolutions passed in excess of 95% but only 62% of votes were cast. But it was their resolution ""To give the directors authority to allot shares in the Company"" which received the lowest vote for at only 83%. So it is something that doesn't necessarily get same shareholder support.
Casper
Hi, Casper,
Sorry, only just got back, the number of members in the Telegram group is 1728, so the % figures would relate to that?
Good luck.
To those of you with accounts with iii, go back and check that all the votes are done. I went back and checked and half of them had not been done! Worth checking !
Tiny Tom saw septic Lils mum septic Jill on deck this morning , it was very windy and she was holding on very tightly to her hat
My dear he said, the wind is blowing your dress over your head and exposing your privates!
She looked down and said, anything I have down there is 85 years old, I’ve only had this hat 2 days!
Just voted via Charles Stanley. That's another 722550 votes in the yes column. Easy as anything - just type an order to vote for Resolution 1. Took 2 mins. Mayt..
Investor12 - it's just my view (IMO) that Queeld are an unknown quantity - I was struck by the wording that the BoD used in the RNS regarding their shareholding (22-Jul-2020) which suggested they were not in close contact:
""According to the information available to the Company, the ultimate beneficial owner of Queeld Ventures is Galina Pchelkina.""
... Queeld could be on the other side of the vote ! The BoD seem worried that someone is.
Ian re your 13.53 post
28% of Telegram users pales into insignificance when compared with the 307,250,000 held by Queeld. They didn't manage to register their 8.3 and let the BOD do it so let's just hope that they get their vote in in good time.
The thing is for anyone who has still yet to vote,
You have put your hard earned money into this company.
The value of the company is going up (almost) every day with the rise in metal prices and access to additional areas.
The BOD know exactly what is going on, and we don't!
The BOD are trying to do what is best for ALL shareholders, don't forget THEY hold a shed load of shares!.
Let the BOD do their job and vote with them, NOW!!!!!!
One thing I still can't get my head around is Tamerlan Abdikeev and the timing of his appointment, if we are close to a deal, what's the reasoning behind his appointment/
I was very intrigued by GFD's posts recently in regards to the EGM and they seem very plausible, but just can't help but feel we still have some way to go.
I originally expected us to be done and dusted by March but I was well off there, but in any case, in till the end.
I've noticed the trolls and shorters have decided to take a breather, hopefully someone cuts off their oxygen for good.
Thanks for that Ian
I would have reservations about these figures however as
1) Without knowing the full details from Telegram, I am not sure that they would necessarily reflect the shareholdings. e.g. I voted For the resolution but hold a minute percentage of shares. (so small that i
2) the percentage not yet voted effectively do not count at all and therefore based on this information the vote would be 93% for and just 3% against (in round figures).
I still think that everyone should vote and thank everyone on this board for helping out those of us who haven't done this before. HL make corporate actions very easy but I have never voted on a resolution for any of my shareholdings because it isn't easy. At least HL don't charge for the privilege!
Casper
I thought everyone on Telegram was a loyal follower!
(except me of course - but I don't post there - and I have definitely voted for)
I know that everybody has different ideas but why would you vote against the BOD who have a vested interest in us as holders???
Unless you only have a couple of shares maybe that’s where the bot flies come from 2 share land
Assuming the sale goes ahead anyone who voted against SHOULD get a reduced payout!!!!!!!
How to vote
Ian_
why the %^&*% did they vote against?
At 09:30 am this morning the score for Telegram was -
70% had voted for :-)
2% had voted against ??
28% had yet to vote :-(
Everyone who has a vested interest needs to get their finger out, voting may close this evening for proxy votes!
plus the BOD hold a lot of shares so that's already a big lump of yes votes. Im quite confident it will pass
cant imagine the II would vote against either if the BOD has recommended it
I think a lot of people have voted today, so we should reach it i suppose
telegram had 69% for, 2% against & 29% not voted yet yesterday afternoon.
Does anybody know how close we are to getting this over the line? I think Ian said we were at 66% last night, I obviously voted with the board..
GLA
To quote the avengers.... we are in the endgame now
Im not expecting news before the EGM but expect to see some good price movement hopefully - i really wouldnt want to risk being out of this next week! Final negotiations must be taking place now, dotting the i's and crossing the t's with the share issue
Next week is going to be very exciting! GLA, its been a slog at times but it will all be worth it
