Alcoops......I agree....deals are pending Aries court case......IP valuations, US market access etc......No Wood Group scope/due dilligence news..... plays into that theory.....Wood are likely to seek equity in Eqtec as part of JV.....EU companies Eqtec could be talking to regards waste to power.....are likely to include companies who already have a presence in Eqtec markets.....French companies......Suez and Veolia are likely candidates.....Suez have approached Veolia in last six days about a combination......Eqtec IP would be valuable property to either or both French behemoths......Where theres muck....theres brass/Eqtec......Both Suez and Veolia have operations in Teesside.....Hydrogen.....46% of Eqtec Syngas is Hydrogen.....this can be used to power on site waste to power Gas turbines.....or fed along local natural gas pipes.....to power homes, industry, trains.....and the 3000 hydrogen buses to hit British roads in coming years......Eqtec proven Gasification IP. is a game changer in waste......IMHO.....its only a matter of time before deals with peer groups.....underline this.....Reg
This is gonna keep heading south until something big comes through IMO, and even then I don’t think it’ll get back to anywhere near where it was. We’d need another big run of positive news to get back there like in the run up to Christmas. Bad news on CC or Wood would only compound the issue too. Absolutely unbelievable where this is at right now. If I had some funds I’d be topping up what I could around the bottom to to to get a more respectable average.
Engie, a French company who build and operate biomass plants worldwide were involved somehow back in the Eqtec Iberia days. A Google search for Engie efw has plenty of hits and compelling reading.
@martinu could it be something with EDF? Looking back, the project at university of Lorraine to test rdf gasification had EDF involved too through their subsidiary tiru. Tiru already operating a number of plants in France by the looks of it
You are not selling but you rate it a 'strong sell'
Which is it?
IMO Wood have right expertise but little funds, indeed large debts. So would struggle to fund JVs. I would be more interested to know who European company is in connection with Billingham
Interesting post Simms45 :)
Every message that’s coming from eqtec says our world class proven and patented technology
We are in court over patent infringement
As such I would not expect anything other than news on the court arrangements before news on a partnership.
Unless sufficient due diligence is satisfied that the CC is bogus and worthless
I agree with you Simms. Patience! We always expected a good start to the year, MM’s are working it, hold on tight.
Last year the operational and corporate update was 31st Jan 2020 however we do not yet appear to had an update for sometime and i expected in February. I suspect a lot is going on and perhaps the update might be hanging on other positive news. We are due an update imminently and could be soon hopefully as i think a look at order book and plans will be very revealing. Maybe they wanted to wait on Aries, Wood or Billingham close or something else.
Eqtec are paying for a review on their tech.... so yes it should be RNS'd with the outcome.
Whether they decide to do a JV may fizzle out.
Same old story with this share, you are just constantly waiting on news. It's been long enough for the wood review.
Also they should release an operational update on progress with other projects.
Boss is happy with progress. Given timetable for Wood report it seems fair to assume it is positive. Fits with confidence expressed in RNS : 0902J, EQTEC PLC, 18 December 2020:.
"A pleasure for me to talk with Jonathan @Inspiratia again. Our @eqtec team is making fantastic progress using our proven & patented advanced #gasification technology & solutions, leading the delivery of sustainable waste-to-energy projects in UK, EU & US https://bit.ly/3sHAHVe "

An interesting way of looking at it Happysurfer.
Not sure how it all works but I’d hope if terms could not be met then Eqtec will be speaking to the other interested parties to see who else they could work with.
On failing that let’s a wood rns in the morning. Or better still, 16.20 on Friday.
I like V111JAS take on this.....TYENWE!
I suspect they do not have to RNS if Wood are not interested. It just fades into the distance as being "a not the right fit" etc. No point in the company trashing their own SP unless they are legally obliged to announce.
At some point no news becomes not good news in this regard but we have no idea how long that period is. Hopefully it is all just delays in relation to covid, CC and potentially defining the finer details of any strategic partnership. Lets face it EQT selected Wood and there were supposedly many interested EPCs who tendered. It would be rather embarrassing to select Wood over the competition only to find out that Wood then reject us !
David1951c, as you quote "the Company will make a further announcement at the appropriate time."
Worth noting as per RNS Number : 0902J, EQTEC PLC, 18 December 2020:
"EQTEC's advanced gasification technology is proven and patented for waste to energy projects and the Company is increasingly confident that it has the potential to become a new UK and global standard for many traditional waste-to-energy facilities to collaborate with, reducing reliance on increasingly less attractive waste elimination methods such as traditional incineration and delivering new resilient and locally based green energy infrastructure across the UK and internationally."
On 5 October RNS said "These two reviews are expected to be completed during Q4 2020 and the Company will make a further announcement at the appropriate time." Why the delay and lack of news?
