chilting,
$89Billion in QE ( not QE ) announced by the Fed for two months from mid October.
There is a reason why we call Trump numpty. Played again by the chinese - he is soo desperate for a deal as quite honestly he has achieved sweat fa during his term. The iranians wont even meet him so there will be no deal there ...
Well don’t you worry your head about it dear, tuck your blouse in and get on your way to school.
China wants more talks before signing anything. So Trump lied again !!
Summed up nicely gkb, and don't forget intereg regions.
Revoking article 50 might give the UK a slight boost but long term the value of the Pound has been falling against the Euro for the past 17 years, If we can leave with some sort of deal then I do believe the value of the pound should recover over the next
few years.
Sad thing is the only thing that will change is how the hedge funds bet and that will be deemed a reflection of the economy because the crypto FTSE will go up.
The market is absolutely tanking this morning - bloody awful.
Now is that a short term view or is the market move this morning a longer term correction?
Who the hell knows!!!
Blimey Epip, did you fall out of bed this morning and bang your head on the floor ? We are on the same side remember ! You post about the same amount on here as I do.
Short-termer - someone who comments/posts daily, on a hourly basis as to how the SP is moving, is a short-termer in my books. Maybe someone needs to be posting on a minute-by-minute basis on SP movements in order to be a short-termer in your books? God forbid..Lol. :-)
Trump must go ASAP, This world cannot take much more of his mental illness.
When politics overrides the well being of the economy expect the worst.
We have seen that with Trump and Brexit.
Without the nationalist policies of Trump and Eton Mess I reckon the world economy would be much better place and Brent would be much closser to $70-$75.
Yellow, revoking article 50 is not a option so forget about that.
I was a remainer but now I just want this over with so we can all move on,
Easy K, revoke article 50 and just see how the economy will boom. Nothing wrong with changing your mind! It has already cost us £60bn and even more money is being wasted on an advertising campaign which is just highlighting how bad it could be. Just look at the website for travelling to Europe, it is an absolute nightmare. They did not put that on a side of a bus!
Spot on, Yellows...;-)
Short termer ? WTF Ive been invested here for 5 years so far ! Not sure how long you've been invested but I don't call that short term Epip
Well what else is there? Should we all throw in the towel and sit in the corner and sulk about it until we do slide into recession or do we just grab the bull by the horns and get on with it ? #
2 choices …...That's it
Yes, keep living in that fantasy, KO. A no deal Brexit will of course harm the UK, even if it's short term. You're a short-termer anyway and so you should be concerned.
Kraken - of course if we all believe hard enough everything will be fine, bit like Enquest we surely should be over £5 a share now of belief alone cut it rather than economic facts and reason. Or are we not believing enough?
The UK wont suffer a recession on a no deal, there will be a period of uncertainty while we find our way but that wont last, ultimately I still believe the UK will thrive once said and done, we are a nation of hard work with a will to achieve, unlike most of the EU. I feel sorry for Germany as they will be the ones that suffer the most over Brexit.
Yes, we shouldn't underestimate the effect of throwing the worlds sixth largest economy into an unnecessary recession - that is bound to depress the oil price.
That's true, but it won't happen. That's the reality I'm afraid.
Greatest boost to UK and EU economy is a revoke article 50 - I know I will get shouted down but if you want the quickest stimulus this would be the easiest, quickest and have greatest impact.
Brent is still stuck with no real direction - todays fall is apparently because Brexit talks are stalling.
This news is for the future - can only be good for Brent in the longer term -
