Without Geomet , EMH is nothing just a holding company!
CEZ want the lithium mining, the manufacturing via a partnered gigafactory and of course the charging station network - end to end solution that blue chips endeavour to provide and even more so when the government owns 70% of the company!
Oh and by the way the resource is massive and more than ESG friendly and of course the location is perfect!
Just to clarify, there's EMH and there's Geomet. They're not the same thing. EMH own 49% of Geomet.
CEZ are already miners via their wholly owned subsidiary SEVEROCESKÉ DOLY A.S. - it’s coal but being phased out to focus on green tech - lithium is the perfect replacement which is why CEZ bought 51% of EMH (Geomet)
Watch this gather pace soon
I read an article today stating Gotion? are expecting to have 100GW of battery production outside of China by 2025. They are a VW partner, it may be that they join CEZ in the Pilzen area to partner the GIgafactory. Only a thought, CzechRep not mentioned in article.
Hi Green Machine, I think that Fingers has posted his thoughts on the shareholders agreement in the past, and as I recall he was very positive about it
I think that was always the Gov's plan. Although I seem to recall reading that CEZ don't want to be miners if they can avoid it. To be honest, I no longer care. I just want some positive action here. Something to bl00dy well happen. This investment has been dead money for what seems like an age.
Something else to ponder. Can anyone name another business that has both a mine to supply material and a planned gigafactory? Cez appear to have it all…..
My understanding is that CEZ are contractually obliged to buy from Geomet at the going market price.
At the end of the day, cez needs to JV with a battery maker with experience since they can’t go it alone. At the same time because they are both miner and battery maker, this in due course could be a positive or a negative in our case. Apostive because we have a largely government controlled partner but also a negative because they could incentivise a partner to get involved by pricing the product coming into the factory at a large discount. It all boils down to what’s in the hidden “shareholder agreement”……let’s hope KC has been on the ball with it.
Unless of course they'd JV with a Korean manufacturer to build a gigafactory... would the latter then consider a EMH buyout? An competitior probs for CEZ would have been removed. But then, why wouldn't CEZ just buy us out?
Whatever. Something has to happen. I'm becoming seriously frustrated with this.
Trouble is our position is complicated by the fact that CEZ own a majority stake, and are intending their own 'cell company'.
RK Equity’s Rodney Hooper says 2022 is the year OEMs & cell companies will be forced into major M&A or JV upstream #lithium deals to secure future supply at prices closer to the long-term incentive price #FastmarketsLBRM

Bob, could you precis that video as I am blocked by Lowry for criticising his view on clays?
with this event taking place just presently - watch for any new investment (increase in the sp volume) - would be the indicator of some new interest in this stock which is keenly desired by those who have been here for some years.
Does anyone know if KC speaking at this event ??
@Fastmarkets
