No I thought the AGM was on the 29th :-|
Is not Friday the AGM, I assumed that that your Thursday prediction was a bit of cynicism.
Aerial noon Thursday RNS.
The RNS after lunch on the 29th July 2021 is just a formality
esquimo
What prediction was that?
@Esquimo that is the problem we have always had interest from customers well in excess of 10k tonnes per month but they have never materialised or been named.
It seem you have more chance of Spurs winning a trophy than EDL hitting 10k per month.
2017/18 not 28, fat fingers!
JEZZAC, cast your mind back to 2017/28, we had interest from customers well in excess of 10k tonnes per month for washed coal, double shifts, night lighting unfortunately mudstone had zero value, hence the cash flow problems.
We are now in a position to fill what orders that we get with actual coal. I think this week could be decisive in EDL's fortunes. 5 days to go. 3.5 if Aerial's prediction is correct.
1 year 2 years, its called kicking the can down the road.
They need a roadmap not a can kicking strategy.
Lets see how this week plays out but if they release another load of waffle i can see a lot of investors calling it a day. imho
esquimo
I’m hopeful that at some stage the bod and the larger investors will want to benefit from a higher SP, why wouldn’t they. Hopefully sooner than later!
Still might add a few next week as rightly or wrongly I personally think we are now better placed to rerate than ever before.
Another few years is less of a problem if in, or close to profit
aimhopdyor
A cynical but most likely a correct view of EDL.
I'm expecting a substantial update before the AGM.
They have the weather, cash, labour force and prospective orders in their favour. With the current investors on board and the talk of acquisitions, they must have a good level of confidence in the necessary income, so looking forward to what transpires in the next 5 days and beyond.
One thing for sure the trades this week will be an indication of how the market views EDL's future.
Aerial, I imagine a few long term holders will be keeping an eye on their averages, it's been a longer haul than expected, what's another year or two?
GL to all that have endured.
Definitely there as I voted earlier.
It’s highlighted, and without logging in I think it was in Corporate Actions.
What we are voting for is all on the form. You can vote for all or cherry-pick.
What are we voting for? I have checked my ii but can’t see anything on the app
and was pleasantly surprised by my new Edenville average. Very achievable on a good day :))
Closer by the day !!

The Proxyvote form/link should be in you mailbox
There will a RNS after lunch on the 29th July 2021
Ham or jam!!!
Tony Buckingham’s Wikipedia is an interesting read, bit of a character I’d guess. …
So if we don't get an RNS by and including Monday 2nd August, then we can say ham tomorrow to the following
- The Company expects to re-commence shipping washed coal in July to one of its anchor tenants with a supply arrangement of 750 tonnes per month having been agreed.
- A trial shipment of 180 tonnes of washed coal has been dispatched to a local cement producer and subject to satisfactory performance of this coal an order of 3,000 tonnes per month is anticipated to follow in July.
Let's see if we add it to the list of jam tomorrow
The worlds attitude towards fossil fuels/non renewables has changed out of all proportion in recent years. A decade ago I invested in London and Dunlin based Coal Prospectors in Tanzania.
Edenville have achieved a working licensed coal mine which is their route forward as they also look to diversify “outside coal”.
Kibo who recently RNS’ed their Renewable Energy Strategy have announced their intention to develop a portfolio of Waste to Energy projects in South Africa.
The Directors believe that clean coal-fuelled power projects will continue to be necessary for a transitional period of some decades to support Africa's rapidly increasing energy requirements. The Company has therefore been developing three utility scale, coal-fuelled power projects, located in Tanzania, Botswana, and Mozambique. While these integrate several clean coal technologies such as carbon capture and storage and the latest Circulating Fluidized Bed and flue gas desulphurisation technologies, the Company has also explored renewable energy opportunities for several years to incorporate into the longer-term growth plans of these assets, or as standalone projects.
Kibo therefore intends to appoint specialist advisers to assist it in developing and implementing an appropriate disposal strategy to dispose of its coal assets or possibly reposition these assets to make use of alternative fuel sources other than coal, given rapid advances in developing alternative fuel sources in this domain.
We know that Rufus Short was looking towards South Africa while still CEO and Registered Edenville South Africa Ltd in December 2018. Officers at the time were Jeff Malaihollo - Chairman and Alistair Muir, so this wasn’t just a RS Project.
Kibo have clearly outlined their intentions moving forward. Hopefully in the coming days we (the long suffering) will get an insight as to Edenville’s intend route !!
Best performing commodity this year!
Demand expected to exceed supply!
US coal consumption to increase by 10% this year(expected)
Global demand for electricity to increase by 5%.
Lack of rain in southern China has knocked out their hydro dams.
The demand for coal and rise in price is driven by China and India. The supply of coal from Indonesia to China has been hit by heavy rains.
China is not buy Australian coal yet Australian coal is up 80%.
No money in coal for EDL, my backside!
They just have to get their finger out and get that stuff on the market.
Enjoy this low SP while you can.
PS. To that.
Even the UK is talking of power cuts this winter.
One day maybe a Buy will be marked as a Buy and a Sell a Sell, but that’s too easy, as imo this method is just part of the mms toolset they’ve been given to manipulate the market.
My comment referred to blue trades from the 1st July, so I was just looking a ££ invested since 1st July
Yes, why Sausage?
