Tesco/Argos are not in the same business as dxns. They simply collect money from the customer and give them a parcel in return. They have little or no knowledge about products, nearer no knowledge in my opinion, They can only guess at advice for customers on the basis of maybe what a mate in the pub told them. Tesco is having great difficulty selling groceries, god only knows how they could manage technology. I really do not think you are asking me a serious question. If you are, then let me ask you this! Would you pop into your local Tesco or Argos to buy a piece of hi-tech, would you be happy to ask the shop worker for advice and would you rely on the advice? Not even an ex-milkman would seriously consider that!
There has been a further significant reduction of the short interest in DXNS by the major shorter in the stock Fest NV resulting in an overall open short position in the stock at the moment of just 3.81%. The lowest since the start of the year and I believe almost 50% less that what it was in Jan 2013. Trading-wise the stock has been in a tight range 44.5 - 47 with buyers coming in between sub 45.5 and sellers offloading at 46.4+. We have further increased our exposure to the stock with purchases sub 45.2 p and remain with a positive long term view.
Hi - Good to hear from you again - yes, my frustration at being rewarded with zilch RM shares has been nicely tapered by the fact that I was very close to piling into KMR at 29p, by using the same monies, just before the dreaded rights issue news flooded out - now 22p - close shave - I must agree though that once this is absorbed it should then be very juicy - keep well and stay afloat ! - How serious a threat do you feel Argos and Tesco now are to Dxns future potential ? - Cheers - The Kid -
I am always happy to talk with redundant milkmen. Judging by the almost total absence of milk floats on our streets I should be in constant conversation with ageing milkies. Rather surprisingly, during these volatile days I have made some decent profits. Maybe I ought to have more holidays because I tend not to trade when away. That was a big plus strategy because before I left I went heavily into TW. at 97p and sold on my return this week at £1.11. Also I managed to get two lots of RMG by using the wifes account as well, solld them last night at £4.95. Not a fortune but it will more than pay for dinner this weekend! I understand your anger at being excluded from this float but in the event you missed very little because 227 shares is to little to take seriously! Kmr is causing some concern but still believe it will come right. Good luck!
Thanks for that - DRAX...aren't you talking to me now - I knew I should have sold that milk-float to you - you're very upset aren't you ! - yes, I must agree that this SP is frustratingly sleepy at the mo - still, the good news of late can only serve as a strong foundation for the near future - Cheers - The Kid -
H mate, For dates just click on the financial diary at top of this page cheers Bob
....17th December :)
Can anyone tell me when this is?
Agree with you, I have been away for last three weeks spending some of my hard earnt gains. Rather surprised that in that time good news emerged and failed to improve the sp. Patience, patience is all that is required!!
Seems like there is no point discussing anything on this bb now. all the bad has gone, just need to carry on and bring in tho good results each quarter. Sp will eventually react. £1.50 by this time next yr
My faith and conviction in this cimpanty is absolutely undeminished but the sp has become such a big sleeper....surely we are close to a significant move north?
Glad you got back in Kiddo ...I still haven't managed to get back in, but something tells me that the 17th will be quite a good day...strange though that all the markets are doing well, but many top shares remain in a lower position ..? It doesn't seem quite right to me..
glad to have you back on board mate Bob
Hi All - well, I am now back in pretty big - this is probably my favourite share at the time of talking - If Royal Mail don't want my good money then let's give it back to good olde Dxns - Still angry over the massive snub given to investors in the 10k to 25k bracket - should have been allocated at least something - Fair enough knocking out the greedy fat-cats but 10k is not really a sign of being a fat-cat - so much for the claim of a chance for all to own a part of the Royal Mail - Dxns is looking stronger than 3 months ago - just when this is reflected in the SP is a wee bit unpredictable as we are now seeing - but yesterdays news is yet another mill stone removed from the SP being held down ! - Cheers - The Kid - ps...I have to assume news got out that I was back in - went up .15p after buying back in !!
I agree with the Young Mav ... 70p+
This should be easily 70p+ now. massively undervalued. when it takes off. its going to TAKE OFF
Well done to all those who bought in the last few days. I guess the game starts here now or is till we get over the 47.5p bracket?
is that a trade for 5.68m yesterday ???
Good to see us heading back up, will be pleased to see us settle at over 47p or get over that 50p - onwards & upward! barclaykid - Royal Mail in the old days we all had to buy for the wife and kids to get the most (albeit low) amount of shares, fortunately went for the £5K for everyone so I believe will get the 750 for everyone. What will we end up at Friday (often not the best day)
Hi - I found that the main problems were caused by failing to withdraw after agreeing to do so - I am really fuming at the news that I and hundreds and thousands of other decent people with a bit of cash to spare are now being penalised by receiving precisely NIL amount of shares in the Royal Mail sell off - yes, I was expecting a scaling down at around 10k to 30K, but to receive zilch at the 10K mark is quite clearly unfair - agree that fat cats going in for 100,000k plus should be excluded, but certainly not just 10k - very unfair in my book - Talk to you again - Cheers - The Kid -
Thanks...it wouldn't be the first time ive pulled out to early..!! OOOHHHH MAAATTRROOONN..!!!
dont worry it hppens to the best of us, i was supposed to put some dosh on R Mail, but the broker pulled the offer before the date so i have missed out !! hope it sticks to 47p
....Bloody hell....talk about caught with your pants down..!! sold yesterday...and thought id have a day down the beach today..!!!
i would be happy to be steady at 47p................
