Absolutely, I'm thinking of other uses though - closer to retail size. Imagine using this as part of a project management tool - give a portable version to engineers / developers / contractors, with notes of the current job on it. Once done, update it remotely ready for the next job - could easily be linked into workflow / ticket tracker tools, and so much less hassle than having a large laptop to carry around, just use it like a paper notepad really. Also great in the real retail world - use it in the kitchen for recipes, a screen that won't go to sleep like a standard tablet, and only needs charging once in a blue moon! Go on Densitron, show some imagination and get this out to the masses!
Could not agree more. A number of transport companies are looking at this new technology which is currently near the end of trials in Birmingham.. Hopefully contracts with both BA and others will follow soon. Expect news at beginning of new financial year ! If they win the BA contract then that would be a major success story and would be a huge boost to the marketing of this technology worldwide!
About time they said something formally. Very positive, its fantastic technology and we'll see it everywhere soon. Loads of applications not yet published, maybe not thought of by the company, this could be huge!
Thanks for the suggestion, I've not seen him for years, time for a catch-up probably. Agree Re valuation, but I thought the same a couple of years back, and we've more or less halved since then, despite growth of product and apparent market, alongside divi payments - sometimes you can't explain it!
Happytom - suggest you speak to or e- mail Grahame Falconer. I have found him to be very helpful and a very recent phone call found him in a very bullish mood I would have thought that this development should have been the subject of a formal press release if not an RNS. We need all the positive publicity we can get . This company is way undervalued. Good luck ! BtB
Densipaper looks great, all sorts of uses, but where can I find out about the relationship between the companies - surely this counts as a significant related business and must be declared to shareholders - is it a wholly owned subsidiary, a formal JV, a plaything for the board to take profits outwith Densitron? Please point me at some answers! Thanks
Yesterday's launch of a new subsidary ( see densipaper.com ) could herald a much awaited and deserved upturn in the Company's fortunes as well as a steady rise in the s.p. Some exciting and potentially lucrative projects bubbling under the surface awaiting final sign off - B.A and West .Midlands Transport for example. If, in addition, Blackheath can be developed and a tenant found for the Newcastle Property then 2014 could be a very good year for Densitron.
Losing faith here - serious lack of news on any developments - come on Graeme, let us know what's happening please! Ta, Tom
Apologies for my omiting the trade unionists from my congratulations in my post of 21 November. I have always been impressed by the representatives at the AGM. In my view good relations with the workforce are vital and a good TU team provide a useful conduit of information to management.
upbeat as usual (you were right on sdl) ...joyeux noel
Usual aim carp. This company is now in a much better place than it has been for five years - the uncertainty over N'Castle is gone, with the possibility that we will find a tenant that will actually see it contributing to cash-flow after the write-down, and the BA trial is going swimmingly well (although still waiting for Mr Falconer to confirm this officially - not sure what the delay is - **** sandwich of RNS's maybe?). Without the write-down, we're still positive even in the UK, and with the economy recovering sufficiently for the FED to start tapering, we must be looking at real growth in the next couple of years. Irritating that this is now half the price is was a couple of years back, but we'll get there!
when did they last provide positive surprise lol? ...large margin of safety req imv
Don't jinx it! News seeping about the BA trial going well, not great publicity yet, but will come when Graeme is happy with it no doubt.
perhaps I should not have asked ?
So why is this going up today ~ any news not yet in public domain ?
I almost wrote this off after Hardcastle was removed from the board. This latest news is very encouraging in both that DSN have a lively R&D and there is nothing like hi profile success to bring customers to your door. Congratulations to the Chairman, CEO, and the R&D team who made this possible.
Where'd you see that - I thought they were starting September, but unusually no announcements made?
Good IMV,,,,,,,,now let's watch the recovery,,,,,,,,,,,and a nice divi while we wait .........all IMO @ DYOR The Board considers that the property is in good condition and is located in a prime location near to the Tyne tunnel. It has engaged an agent to market the property on its behalf and the agent is confident that a tenant or an assignee can be found for the building in due course. Jan Holmstrom, Chairman, commented: "The settlement that has been agreed is in the best interests of the Group as a whole and will now enable the Board and management to concentrate on driving the business forward".
5th Nov. last year so maybe news then,,,,,,,,,DYOR
..
Claim against the Company As also explained in the 22 May 2013 Preliminary Results announcement we are working to find a solution on the writ that the Company received in relation to the property occupied by a former Group company. The situation remains largely unchanged and we continue to work to bring this matter to a resolution as soon as possible.
the second half of the year is traditionally the Group's stronger half and with the orders that have already been booked in July and August and the expected continuation of this improvement we remain confident that the full year results for the business will exceed the results achieved for the full year in 2012.
Jolly wise imv
Displays Business The difficulties in closing business that were encountered during the second half of 2012 have continued into the first half of 2013. At present the level of sales are in line with those achieved in 2012. A number of projects have moved forward and, while noting the ongoing protractions in closing business, we expect to see revenues from them during the second half of the year and into 2014. Land at Blackheath We are continuing with the strategy outlined in the 22 May 2013 Preliminary Results announcement for the site at Blackheath. Having secured the certificate of lawful use for the clubhouse and land we are now proceeding with an application to replace the clubhouse with a residential building of an equivalent size. Outlook Having re-positioned the business with the introduction of our internally developed products and services, I am confident that the outlook for the business is positive and I expect the result for the year to exceed that achieved in 2012. With the newly developed products and services and the expansion of the business' global footprint I am confident that the medium to longer term prospects for the business are good and would expect to see increasing orders being booked in the second half of the year to support this expectation.
unfortunately not...the flow of tepid/bad news continues here ...with difficulties around management and markets, an EV of 5*EBIT (so mkt cap of £2-2.5m) would be needed to motivate investment imv ...so Jolly waiting for slow decline to 3-4p range (if it comes to pass) ..aaoo/dyor/gl
