I would recommend DP Poland (DPP) after the last acquisition of a big chain of Dominium Pizza with its market cap of just GDP 59m can be a good investment.
I'm back in again at 325.50 I like this quiet backwater for such a huge franchise. Still plenty of head room so let's see how we do. Kind regards the original jimster
Yes strange that the FTSE250, Tourism & Leisure sector have done really well yesterday and today and an upgrade to buy yesterday and this share price has still struggled. I noticed it had a jump up in price after the upgrade then just sank?

Peel Hunt has upgraded Domino’s Pizza Group (DOM) as shares in the pizza delivery franchise are underperforming international peers despite a strong year.
Analyst Douglas Jack upgraded his recommendation from ‘add’ to ‘buy’ with a target price of 425p on the stock, which closed down 1.5%, or 5.2p, at 336 yesterday.
‘After a year of good progress for the company, we focus on whether Domino’s’ significant share price underperformance versus the international peer group is justified and how we believe the company can re-accelerate its growth and re-rate its equity,’ he said.
Despite its sometimes fraught relationship with franchisees and the ‘incremental competitive threat from aggregators and aggregator deliverers’, Jack said after ‘recent weakness, we are upgrading our recommendation’.
Just because it's better value doesn't automatically means it's shared will do any better. Sp is also about risk, momentum and location.
Domino Pizza Poland (DP Poland) is a much better value proposition, why pay 4 x revenue for DOM domino us when you can pay 1 times revenue for DPP!

Your time will come! I've just had a decent run with these US Tech stocks over the past couple of weeks; hoping a few of them will hit a new all-time high before the new year! I tell you another fast-food franchise I am considering is Chipolte Mexican Grill :). All this talk about food is making me hungry - is it acceptable to eat my lunch yet? KR, PAW.
Hi PAW
Good to hear you are doing ok elsewhere...I am not quite so fortunate :)
Be careful about topping up here...things were turgid yesterday...I think the floor is around 310...and so you could get disappointed...possible 340 upswing short/medium term.
Yes I have compared US and consistently in front for last six months...bear in mind this is a franchise...my interest in it is the financials are huge...but moves around a lot...but without the hysteria being generated by the so called 'high street' brands
Greggs is more popular than DOM...but looking at their recent news/performance I think the hype/actual economic underpinning will catch up with them in early/mid spring and would expect to see greggs slide a bit...ok my friend...have fun
The Jim
Great to hear from you, Jim! Excellent opportunity to top up on the dip IMO. I'm awfully close to my target sell price for an EV stock. Hoping it hits it later this afternoon once the American markets are open. Will probably then cash out all of my profits and put them all into DOM. Probably looking to top up at around the 310-312p mark. Hopefully, people will be ordering plenty of Dominos over the Christmas period, as well as investing their Christmas money into this absolute steal of a stock! :) KR, PAW
P.S. Have you ever compared DOM (FTSE) with DPZ (Dominos Pizza NYSE)? Looks like our US counterpart are outperforming us?!
PAW...yep just topped up again...as the price is still slipping a bit...not sure where the floor is here...could be 3.00 but I think DOM is going to hold steady during all the turbulence over the holiday...my antennae is picking up rumors of a stage four lockdown for the whole of England in January...whatever the case I think this is a reasonable 'risk' right now...regards
The Jim
I'm back in again...I like this share...not doing so well elsewhere unfortunately...but that's the life we lead eh ?
lets see how we do with DOM over the holidays...looks like chaos forecast for the new year...and I don't think Greggs is going to do well mid-late spring
Kind regards
Jimbo
At the end of the day as long as you're making money who cares... I got in DOM in July time and have only topped up once since. I currently have most of my money tied up in other companies and was not in a position to cash out to top up on DOM. Like you, as soon as I am able, I will be topping up as much as I can in this company. Still think it's a decent price to get in at and imo is going nowhere but up! But yes, totally agree with you, for such a popular company, am certainly surprised there isn't more going on in this share chat! KR, PAW.
P.S. To anybody else reading this, we don't bite!! :)
Morning paf...thanks for your interest....I have been in and out of Dom over the last six months or so...and just missed the 'boat' on Thursday for the holiday season...bit cross with meself about that of course...had to hold somewhere else...no doubt my style of trading is not popular but hey ho we are all here to make money...right ? I have done very well out of Dom and was wondering why not more interest... Gregg's has the attention... But I think it will sink in the spring...Dom looks good to me and I am planning to move some money shortly....you ? Kind regards the jimster
Greetings Jimster! Super, super quiet thread!! Think the most active I've seen the message board is when the SP dropped following Dominos positive-sounding Q3 trading statement! When did you get in with Dominos?
Hello to all...this is a quiet thread isn't it...which is surprising for such a large franchise jumping up and down the share price like a game in...just wanted to introduce myself and point out that this company has been relatively unscathed by the recent turmoil on the 'high street' potential ceiling at this point is 360...just wondering why not more interest here is all... What have I missed...kind regards the jimster
I believe it will be in February.
Does anyone know when the Q4 Earnings statement is going to be or is usually?
I thought ASOS drop was a but harsh yesterday but this today takes the biscuit.
“Negative operational gearing is a very large factor as to why earnings momentum at Domino's has turned negative, in our view and the structural challenges are clear. Domino's is not able to do national campaigns hence the dispute with the franchisees is having a major impact on trading," said Liberum.
Very surprised by the 13% plunge this morning. People will likely be ordering a lot more take-aways over the next quarter. I'm going to buy some of these for a quick return over the next few days.
My thinking is that the market was expecting them to beat expectations. Lock-downs should have been a perfect situation for Dominos
Good trading statement, but what has happened to the priced today, uncalled for!!
Very surprised at this 12% drop this morning. Anybody able to explain why the drop?
TIA
