Good evening guys Welcome on board Smokey17 Yes I've noticed these largish trades after closing time on here Steelo, it's not uncommon. They are predominately buys but occasionally sells. They are usually the largest transactions of the day. They are invariably at a premium to the closing price. I would really like to know why they are so common on here !!! Well Smoke I hope this one's a bit faster tempo than our other shared investment (biff) it's definitely paint drying time over there !!!! D.
Hi Smokey, I'm hoping this one is a little off the radar at the moment. Fingers crossed we'll make a few quid here. If it starts a decent climb here, I'll probably add along the way bearing in mind the dividend. I noticed a couple of decent buys reported after cop. Pull up a chair next to oldbadger and myself and we'll all cross our fingers. Good luck mate.
OK oldbadger and steelo bought in today after fall from 290p few weeks ago this has got to be good value hopefully fall will stop tomm ALB m
I am also comfortable sitting here for a while " bad pun intended " We will see soon enough if that's the right decision! !! D.
Divi info : Ex-dividend share trading begins - 8 December 2016 Dividend record date - 9 December 2016 Dividend payment date - 28 December 2016 Dividend - 7.5p per share.
Thanks oldbadger. Similar situation for me. I've also taken a large position (for me) at 2.23. At the moment, I'm already down a three piece suite so I'm hoping it starts climbing north pretty soon. Whoever bought the chunk at 2.40 must have been pretty confident so I'll sit on my hands for a couple of months. Hopefully people will start buying in based on that dividend payment alone. We shal see. Good luck mate. Ste
Been watching and also invested here for around three months, you are correct in all your observations below. I also cannot find any negative comment on this company. The share price had just climbed, well more accuratelly crawled to £2.70p when the ii 26mill. share transfer was announced at the then discounted price of £2.40p. Well that appears to be for I can find no other reason for the floor collapsing. I was mostly in and out here for the yield and am in this time for a fair chunk at £2.23p. So am not that worried about current share price, maybe I should be. Don't think there will be long to wait to see which way it goes !!!!!! D.
Very successful company, great results, fabulous dividend payment next month and the special dividend payment promised in 2017. I can't find a bad thing to read about this company, yet still it sinks. II sale but II buys so nothing too worrying there. Am I missing something or is Dfs just unfashionable ?

Hello Bonz1957 I wasn't necessarily hoping for a quick profit, just adding a bit of diversity to my portfolio with what I think is a sure fire bet for good growth in the medium term. You're absolutely right, though, that £350 isn't a very good base to make some money, even if it goes up dramatically. I'm close to the point of getting rid and putting it somewhere with much more potential, eg. SXX or TYM (DYOR).
Probably because many pi's 'stagged' the issue hoping for a quick profit at launch, when that profit didn't come they baled and took their money elsewhere - not prepared to wait months for a few pennies. Others will have baled because they only received 1/3rd of the shares they wanted making their holding to small to keep. Let's face it, if you applied for £1,000's worth and ended up with just 137 shares, you're not going to get rich in a hurry are you? ATB.
Sofa giant DFS eyes expansion as sales jump: Sofa giant DFS said it is plotting further expansion overseas after launching in the Netherlands for the first time in the first half
Cracking results with huge profit potential now huge portion of debt has been repaid.
Well that was almost as exciting as buying a sofa.
is moving day!! unconditional trading
Today is moving day on DFS. Expecting a doubling by month end helped along by results.
Why are there so many sells when the IPO was just a couple of days ago? What was the point in buying shares and sell them straight away for the same price?
Fill your boots wilst you can.....This share will double in next 6 months.
It was 255.00
Can anybody tell me what the offer price was before listing
Get around 35% of our application?
Extremely happy to get in at this price. I was more than happy paying the top end of the ipo price. Thankfully other poor ipos have cooled the rush . Expecting 500 by year end . Debt restructuring will massively improve the rating
Tumbling already.
everyone already in profit - well done
Any allocation news?
