JH...500k...good news is that it hasn't really effected the SP too much
I would imagine they will shift when the volume is there, hopefully they will be gone this time next week.
If its Jarvis then they have around 2.3M to shift, now 1.7M
Another 288k shows up...possibly more being removed
288K are Spread bets crossed.
What are crossed spread bets
Spread betting:
https://www.ig.com/uk/spread-betting/what-is-spread-betting-how-does-it-work
Cross is when a broker receives a buy and sell order for the same stock at the same price, and subsequently makes a simultaneous trade between two separate customers at that price. Variations of this are the market opening and market closing crosses.
When SBs are opened during the day they are stamped @ price on the ticker.
Those SBs are stamped as a total @ mid after close.
Yeaterday 288k shares where dealt as spread bets @ various prices and then uncrossed as a total @ mid.
DMcG54 what you have quoted is an auction crossing trades, slightly different to what i tried to explain.
Thanks JH, still so much to learn ??
On another topic, is there a danger with all these IPO shares popping up that the SP will retrace due to more shares swimming about?
The question marks were supposed to be an emoji :)
It’s going to be an interesting time.
I did a dummy buy for 300k shares yesterday, no problem - instant availability at arount 3.7p but they wouldn’t take a 50k sell without going to NT, so I assumed there was a sell order in place.
Of course, I’d like to time my next chunk of buys at a lower price than the first lot so I’ll be watching for a drop, selfishly hoping the mm’s pull it down if more sell orders are placed from our IPO pals.
I’ve not been here long as a shareholder but have watched DEV for a number of months, I think it’s got very cheap now.
I bought Bacanora under similar circumstances, which is also quite an illiquid stock, a fund kept selling (as it had to) and took the price from £1.00 down to 11p. People panicked of course which assisted the decline. The assets remained the same, nothing had changed. I loaded at 13p. It was back to 50p last week.
I see a similar story developing here, Dev Clever Plc is making great headway, all the foundations & technology is in place & the rollout is underway.
I’ve personally earmarked a further 1 Million shares for the ISA & if funds allow May double my Holding again.
I’m pretty excited about the next 6 -12 months here.
