Just seen a report by StockoPedia. Looks interesting and reliable. Hope to buy some shares when funds available.
Housekeeping done.
Shares still being gobbled up.
Data and intelligence companies desirable to both private and government agencies….
Hmmmmmmmm…..
Anyone noticed that sells continue to be hoovered by buyers in waiting?
Still makes me wonder if there is a reverse takeover on the cards? Wouldn’t be the first time Danson has done it!
Anything tech, data and intelligence related is big bucks atm, so imo this company is greatly undervalued.
Knowledge = Power
Good to see the big buys actually showing now instead of unknown trades. Could #DATA finally be ready to move or a multibag RNS drop?
Bulk buyers hoovering up shares off book.
Smells like a takeover to me!
Holding tight to my golden nuggets!
100 for 14 share split. In other words for every 14 shares you help before the EGM, you now hold 100. See the RNS of 7 July.
Biazarre
Why the 85% drop today then?
Having another look at the half year results bodes very well for the final dividend IMO.
I've been in this share for many years. I think we'll see a decent price hike this year. I'd say definitely £18, maybe £20.
One thing confuses me about this share though. I see so many small share trades ie one to five. What is that all about?
Thanks
Solid company. I'm in. Under the radar and a buyer in the market from what I know.
Yes, the business looks relatively covid-proof, hopefully the share price should move north shortly.
Business is obviously still ploughing ahead depspite covid. Suspect it might have done a tad better without covid. Personally I would have liked a better dividend and I beleive that next year we could see more than 20p per share.
£2,1m just bought. Interesting. How do you take the results this morning?
Noted that the Co spent £23.7m on buying own shares at a quite good average price apparently to ensure that said shares were available for employee share options. That's quite a lot of cash.
Has anyone noticed all the one-share sells today? are those algo-trades? Haven't seen it before like this (nearly all trades today).. is that normal for DATA?
I do not believe that someone like Murray Legg with his experience would be taking the job on without being pretty sure of his ground.
Thanks... this drop in SP YOY has made me reconsider my unwavering faith in the upward trajectory of this company. Hopefully the results on Monday are good and give IIs more reassurance - Chairman stepping down and some TR1s recently have been somewhat unexpected.
In my opinion the company is now a cash cow unless they feel the need to buy any more similar businesses which I doubt. THis means some decent size dividends this year and more when folk cease their fear of viruses.
Hello everyone - holding DATA for a few years now and seen a reasonable return - what's everyone's opinion here re future outlook for this stock? Thanks
thanks i onloy got interested when harry nimmo the manager mentionede in a webinar recently- how come they are late in the game and Amati as well! i dont know what to do other than watch it rise almost every day
ali, we don't see a lot of commentary here as most of those investing know quite well why they are doing it. The history is that the company was a reverse takeover by a fairly clever gent (Mike Danson) a few years ago who then set about building it in various ways. Didn't he do well as it is now pretty well a cash cow with steadily increasing dividends as a result. My original investment around ten years ago is up roughly 600%, I doubt if I will sell in the near future.
where is everybody here - i am new and watching update today sound reasonable- any comments from long termers please!
I was always taught not to sell a rising share with a good balance sheet but it seems some did not go to the same school as I.
it rose because of the RNS ...68k wouldn't make the slightest difference
