The company is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Lead who, preferably, is available immediately to be responsible for driving sales across the UK, Europe and globally. The successful candidate will also be responsible for refining, with the senior team, the sales strategy and supporting processes for a repeatable, sustainable forward sales motion.

Responsibilities
Build the integrated sales strategy and execute successfully
Own the sales number, managing budgets and deliver commercial targets
Manage and develop the UK and international channels
Build strong relationships with partner companies in order to grow the business
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years’ experience of working in software sales and sales management roles
Commercially astute with strong financial acumen and understanding of the UK technology sector
Experience of building sales processes and teams, with a strong evidenced track record of revenue growth
An understanding of Blockchain technology and its applications would be a strong advantage

Senior Sales team members are usually required when you have an overall sales strategy in place. Likely this strategy will be based on the nature of the enquiries they already have had. This allows them to give the new person a clear set of objectives.
To me, this shows a positive long-term outlook, an understanding of where the sales are already coming from (based on existing enquiries) and the scale at which they need to be. They are not hiring cold-callers here, this is international heavy hitters. All good signs.
not exactly an international heavy hitter at "£30-40k depending on experience". Someone with the contacts and experience needed to open Government doors costs an awful lot more than that.
yes, us lot on here are talking about millions of sales, companies, governments etc and they are hiring a £30 -40k sales manager. Like the trials with Botswana and Newcastle sounds all a bit cheap to me. If you were looking to make massive sales then you`d be employing someone on £100k who`d earn his wages back in a month.
I hope like someone else says a great sales RNS comes out but the delay means this isn`t going to plan and is reflected in the price but the facts presented above and the delay mean things aren`t looking good. Can all change with a good RNS but

Sales managers get steady basic salaries and then a significant sales bonus usually.
But you’d imagine they’ve had plenty of interest and their consortium has a big city boy think tank involved who have big clients themselves.
Furthermore, VSTE enterprises have provided no market update for over three months. Their product is a track and trace. They don’t use blockchain tech for security. We’re initially targeting different markets also.
CTEA has a tiny market cap. They don’t need masses of sales to justify and increase that? They’re not apple rolling out the whole country. Some solid and select employers across the UK would be a good start.
People unrealistically expecting hundreds of clients. Some absolute folly being mentioned. Why aren’t we paying someone £100k in sales? Doesn’t understand nano-caps.
Already interested parties will be being onboarded now. A sales manager will simply follow up newer enquiries and spread the word.
And quite simply it takes time to get any companies to buy in and set up using such a system. People expecting things to happen the next week?!?! I think news is due now and hopefully we’ve got a few companies keen to crack on.
The only people who are good at sales are the MM, they get everyone to sell and then raise the buy price up quickly. LOL

Pingu, you don`t need to tell me about employing sales managers I was an HRD for a numbers of years with a number ofbig companies. You`ve got to ask yourself the question if your dealing with potentially millions of pounds worth of orders (which we all hope come to fruition) then £30 40k isn`t going to get you much in the world of sales. Simply anyone any good at it will be earning a lot more and adverts that say depending on experience don`t generally attract top talent.
like I said depends what sort of SM you want but at this salary you`re certainly not going to get a world beater.
Biglad, I agree with you. In one of the videos (long back) Guy was saying, "we buy people really we buy people" but seems they really have only 3 employees. I do not know what they did with the placing money. And its way too late for COVID I suppose. But they could rebuilt the company and may produce revenue generating products long term (need to be seen). I do not think any revenue or sales coming short term. I wish to be proved wrong.

CTEA not a big Company big lad. What sort of MCAP/workforce you attempting to compare them to? If the spent too much on wages you’d be saying they can’t control their cash burn. Maybe shares part of bonus structure?
I’m a cautious guy generally but writing them off before anything comes out is odd. The southern African roll out could be significant as the numbers are huge! That doesn’t need a sales person. And the pipeline I’m sure the consortium have spoken don’t need a salesman. They’re warm deals. Entirely new clients Need someone to chase up sales.

We all need a bit of luck that’s for sure! I think there’s enough companies in the UK for us to get a small market share and be very profitable.

What I think of a 35k sales manager and pingu thinks is pretty immaterial as we don`t run the business (which is probably just as well, though it might not be!) but all I`m saying is if you`ve got a good product worth millions and you want to get it out there (after all with the millions we can`t have it both ways) you need decent able people to sell it.
£35 ish is going to get you a glorified administrator or an inexperienced kid indeed this is the sort of money I would expect a car salesman to earn not someone dealing with a millions of pounds product. That`s all really.
I will hopefully be wrong and then I will eat my hat....... if I had one.

If I were a top salesman I think the salary Is immaterial as I would be earning the main money from selling it.

This is immaterial isn't it? They are managing growing interest in their product, the CEO (according to Linkedin) has a strong sale pedigree, hiring someone on 35K (likely with a good comm scheme behind it) is absolutely a logical hire
Any expansion needs to be looked positive whether big or small !!
Guess the BOD will be under pressure here as they need to get contracts with revenue ...
Should they fail it will be a market cap at the bottom of the barrel ..however should they produce sone numbers that the market believes in ...current market cap will be left for smoke ...

BigLad that is a good salary dependant on location of the company. And if it were in London it would probably only go up to about £50-£55,000.
Its a sales job, in this economy there are numerous out of a sales job and this salary is actually good.
Why does everybody think they can put some money in and get a multibagger in a few weeks? What work do you need to do to increase your shares? Nothing. Just be patient.
