According to information I reached through the COBHAM website, their shares will be suspended on 17th Jan 2020, followed by delisting on 20 Jan. Dispatch of cheques due by 31 Jan. Goodbye old COB, you,ve earned me a pretty penny. Last one out turn the lights off.
It was said that there might be a rival bid who knows if there is still time to do one.
Any chance of bid going through? How about someone else going for COB?
Sold 4M bought 5 M . Share price up is a rival bid on the way ?

This was set up for a takeover. The price should be closer to £2.00 per share.

Now that the new top management positions are filled with new members who could inspire much confidence in existing and potential customers, Airbus - Boeing - Uk MoD and others, we should see an advance in the SP to mirror the efforts of Mr Pike and Co. Clearing the debts, including long overhanging Tax liabilities is like having a clean sheet at Sheffield Wednesday, unexpected but welcome ! ---- Yours, Max.

I really did expect poeple to pick up the arguments I put forward during May, regarding the new Company Secretary and the new Company Chairman. It seems to me that their efforts have made the Board come to a decision to not only fully pay Boieing, but also to settle the outstanding Tax Situation which cost £14M in interest. Thank goodness for that, let us hope the pssible further Tax Bill may be zero. ----- Yours, Max.

Any comments forthcoming on the two recent changes in the BoD ?
A new Company Secretary ------- Gerhard Du Plessin.
A new Company Chairman ------- Jamie Pike.
May we expect a more dynamic approach from the BoD in the way of Organic Growth, particularly since making up with Boeing ? May we also see a link with European countries in trading using the companies expertise and innovations techniques ----- Yours, Max.
gkb47, 2 March 2017 and 1 Jun 2016 I think they were both £500 mil each
3 Rights Issues don't help ! over the last few months.

Up 15%? Seems a bit optimistic, things are going in the right direction but still too many risks exists to be piling in.

Would like to think so. Been working for this company for 25 years and watched the sp drop over the last 2 years.

I don't think they trade until tomorrow, although they may have been issued to your account today.
Just tried to sell my discounted shares over on III and was blocked, even though they're showing a trading price of 131. Has anyone else tried to see/know when they can be sold.

just spoke to my broker who says I can deal the ordinary shares no problem and still receive my discounted shares...........just a toss up now of whether to cash out or not. I want to keep holding, just a bit wary of the SP getting diluted further when the rights issues come to market. Anyone know if that's how it works or are their effects already priced in with the dilution back in April?
does anyone know if I can trade my ordinary shares before May 5th or will that affect my discounted rights issue shares that im due to receive?
Got my formal options through today for anyone that's waiting for them.

Strange movement back between resistance and support 130p & 140p. Don't forget as announced 27th March.... http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/175472/cobham-being-investigated-by-fca-over-handling-of-inside-information-before-rights-issue-175472.html Will it be a fine? If so how much? If not, then why not?
i have a very close eye on it and if things start to look ropey ill pull the trigger. As for now im well in the gravy so have a bit of leeway. As far as im aware there are no forecasted financials until August so it has a good few months of stability in my opinion. But as ever each to their own, GLA
FWIW I am in Cobham for the third time in 12 months as part of my "Jugglers" portfolio ie catching falling knives!! I intend to sell the nil paid rights and exit my holding at a decent profit- i fully expect an opportunist bid in the future but having cleared a decent profit I don't intend to wait .
7.18% of free float in Cobham is currently held by short positions. That's up considerably since last time I posted here. Will be interesting to watch the short positions over the next few days on the link below after today's RNS...TBH I don't think COB can turn things around so quickly. More bad news on financials may be around the corner. http://shorttracker.co.uk/company/GB00B07KD360/all
Thanks Casapinos, personally I'm opting for the 75p shares and hoping to go looooooong on these until the dividend recovers. But I'll play it by ear.

well I topped up today on the dilution dip.....just still waiting for my offer to take up the discounted shares.
i don't think you would have received any messages or options on the rights issue yet? It only went to record yesterday! Im not 100% on timelines though. As soon as I receive my options ill let you know
Thing is I did not see any options I could have taken. And now the message is gone from my online share dealing account. No trace of it. So does it mean I will get the 2 for 5 offer automatically or...what? Please enlighten me...kindly. Thanks

what im not sure about is this...........what happens if I sell my holding tomorrow.....do I still get the offer of the rights issue as I was holding at the cut off time? or do I have to hold the shares until issue date of April 19th to qualify?
my understanding (and it is just that so don't take it as gospel) is: you should receive a message from your broker asking you what you want to do (with 3 options on the table)....take up your rights and purchase at 2/5 * your current holding (at the discount price).....ignore and do nothing....or sell your rights to purchase at the lower discount
Hi, So do I need to do anything to accept the rights issue? or do I need to simply lay back and think of the proverbial, and my current shares will get converted automatically. Please kindly clarify, Thanks

I saw an article today (think it was telegraph) that seemed to imply the investigation was down to the timing of the LAST rights issue, not this current one. Bit galling for the new management this just taken over if that is the case.
Disclosed short positions in COBHAM PLC now at 5.93%
Details of the Rights Issue · 2 for 5 fully underwritten Rights Issue of 683,145,540 New Ordinary Shares to raise gross proceeds of approximately £512.4 million (approximately £496.6 million net of fees and expenses) · The issue price of 75 pence per New Ordinary Share represents a discount of 40.9% to the Closing Price of 126.8 pence per Existing Ordinary Share on 27 March 2017 (being the last Dealing Day prior to the date of this announcement), and a 33.0% discount to the theoretical ex-rights price of 112.0 pence per New Ordinary Share calculated by reference to the Closing Price on the same basis http://www.investegate.co.uk/cobham-plc--cob-/rns/terms-of-rights-issue/201703280700137096A/
Anyone have any ideas yet as to what the infringement was? All I've seen so far is they are going to be investigated! I'm not holding here but have one eye on it, if it drops as a consequence of the dilution - and potential repercussions of this investigation I may be tempted.... mind you depends on what they have done now, if it's pure mismanagement it does make you wonder
Disclosed short positions in COBHAM PLC now at 5.65%. Could be higher tomorrow? http://shorttracker.co.uk/company/GB00B07KD360/all

No, they are not rigged. Goldman Sachs told me ;--) COB looking interesting ....
When your Short goes wrong - why is the cry always 'the market is rigged'? Heaven forfend, perhaps you made a mistake? Markets are volitile & can punish those only in a stock for 5 minute, get over it :)
whats peoples thoughts.
yep i dont get it , lost on that short, only £100 but still . Proposed Fully Underwritten Rights Issue price must be known in the city.
Seifert - agree entirely - I am not invested here but when I see premium companies Like AAL GLEN KAZ CEY PMO etc all way down today but COB produces a terrible set of results (I was an accountant) and the SP rockets up - clearly the MMs live in a parallel world to the normal people of planet Earth. Well done to all who made money today. Regards
