Monty - Good to hear an honest appraisal, CNKS certainly are suffering the effects of loss of confidence to a degree, there hasn't been a surge to collect shares at this bottom. Returning money to shareholders whilst standing by and watching the share price fall to lower lows isn't the mark of a company that acts in shareholder interests. People like Indianna can talk about 8p worth of dividends paid out but fail to mention the share price performance as shares go ex-dividend or as we've just seen, when results come in worse than expected. Indianna - You're being daft highlighting the entire history of SLP. I couldn't care less about it's 10 years of prior trading. All I'm interested in are recent moves from 6.5 to 9.5 and now 8 to whatever the future holds. Ofcourse you're entitled to your opinion on SLP, perhaps this is not the place to discuss it but seeing as you won't post on the proper chatboard I'll reply here. SLP is a low cost producer and turns regular quarterly profits. Production has actually been rising but what you mean to say is it is forecast to decline. It is not yet declining. However management have addressed this and so once Project Echo is underway production will be maintained. Share buybacks take stock out of the freefloat but let's get this straight, we are talking small sums here. There is no dividend as PGM prices have only recently bottomed. The PGM basket price to be reported later this month will be higher than the two previous quarters and the cash position will be significantly improved. As SLP will be investing in new capital spending it's prudent not to throw cash away like CNKS. SLP look better placed going forward to protect future cash-flow than CNKS which saw revenue tumble, profits crash and the dividend slashed. CNKS is valued at £52.4m and SLP at £23.8m today. I know where I would rather be sitting with SLP generating $4-5m cash from operations in the quarter but you stick it out here
My take a long term holder CNKS have hurt their reputation by allowing some of their clients to update markets on RNS that are not accurate nor good enough, this in turn has lead to loss of business. I do think though that they have a lot about them, return money to shareholders in buy backs and divi's and have had to be prudent. They need to clean up which they admit and have done I believe and now need to get their business growing again against the Brexit backdrop. I think with the low GBP we will see a return to new flotation's and new business but will need some patience, meanwhile hopefully CNKS will cut costs and get back to their successful roadmap formulae. At these prices they could be quite vulnerable to an M&A.
Well I did take a look at your other recent posts to see what other clever calls you had made and this seemed like quite a bogey especially when you consider the reasons you posted over there. Funny you place much more trust in this BoD which is systematically destroying the share price. Oh but Cenkos appreciates it's shareholders, which is why the share price continues to nose-dive. A 1p interim dividend isn't really going to make up for that downward correction from 120 last month. I came here to discuss the pitfalls of investing here, not your lack of investor insight anyway so if you can't answer the simple points then don't bother responding. What will stop the share price falling here?
Interim Results, Dividend will be paid to share Holders on the Register 7 October 2016 Dividend will be 1p paid on 7 November 2016,Not bad for a company so Badly? see we are told.
Nope, that's everything that's wrong with business, hence why this is making lower lows. Good luck with that attitude problem though!
I had a read of the last set of results. Run by schmuks to pay bonuses and dividends for deals. And when business dries up, well the share price tumbles. Why anyone would touch this is beyond me. No clear way back to increasing profits / cash position..
Keep those comments coming, Good or Bad, I have a some cash to spend, waiting till this share hits 50p.then the Worlds my oyster, come on you Shorters do me a Favour.
You have me worried. Are the shorters after CNKS ? Agree this is way oversold, but what did yer man Buffet (I think it was him ?) say about the market remaining irrational longer that you can stay solvent. Shorters are like a disease. Once they attach themselves to a stock the SP will always be weak however good the actual results.
What's going on? 15 Trades 240.000 buys so far today, that's Not what I was waiting for, you shorter's are Not doing your job, I am looking for 50p so I can buy a few thousand of this share, now come on do your job Shorters I have a few Millions to spare.
Hi All you shorter's, can you take this share price down to 50p? I need to make some money, Lets all have a laugh.
Revenue down 73% but still reporting a profit. Looks like they have struggled since brexit. Is £1 a fair price here??
At last, somebody giving out some Info, results in 2 weeks? I'm look forward to some good news?
Can somebody Please explain what is going on with this share?
is moving up
Very big trade. Good start of the week
operating cash flow: 26m .. enterprise value: 36m... that is 72pc yield...
When are we going to see Some action from this company? Whens the next results due?
indian.. sorry for my ignorance but why do they do that?
no debt, very good cash flow and dividend...
Will George Osbourne Resign next week after the referendum if we vote to leave the EU?
Hi Indianna J.......TVM!....."Timing & Value for Money" ref UAI is my best guess? New one me, put me out of my musing please Buddy - Meaning is?. Got in on Numis 207p per your last post (thx), a little ahead - Like the fundamentals, nice and solid trending positive in RNS's etc - I reckon the Brexit per the polls won't happen but will be close & after the stay vote Tullet Prebon, Numis, Cenkos should all get a jack up as more companies will likely float in the UK. So good time to be in these guys.
Hi Indianna, I think you go for good fundamentals seeking out value wherever - What do think of UAI my latest adventure? Sorry I'm not posting on Cenkos - This will be great, already said enough.
Finally the world is waking up to this excellent cash generative stock. Directors starting to pile in again unsurprisingly. Extremely vulnerable to a takeover at these low multiples.
Some decent buys - always good to see. And a fair bit of skin in the game. http://www.investegate.co.uk/cenkos-securities--cnks-/rns/director-pdmr-shareholding/201604140700091383V/
I meant cheap. Nice rise today. 😊
