Ethanol prices almost at an alltime high so looking good for producers as input costs have not risen as high. https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/ethanol#:~:text=Ethanol%20is%20expected%20to%20trade
Yup 48 hours to go! Overseas expansion and some already secured contracts would be a good driver for share price growth. Still think to see a rapid re-rate to IPO and beyond we will need a decent dividend as there will be selling pressure on the way up and investors, especially in HK, will need a reason to stay beyond breakeven after all this time locked out.
To be fair some success from the international marketing may have the same effect. Otherwise I think we will be seeing a positive relaunch (can't see it staying at 0.45) but a more gradual re-rate towards hopefully 1.5/2.
If there is to be no dividend, I would like to see a really good investment plan for the piles of cash they are now likely sat on.
Let's see what Friday brings!
I would love to read some new india contracts being signed within the results and a few india customers enquiring about new contracts/parnerships . would definitly be a nice sign that the consulting money was well spent even if it was dodgy back hander deals to mates!! I think the market could forget about the questionable payments if CNEL are getting to land sizeable contracts in a growing sector in india. would set up cnel for tremendious growth in the growing market.
soon see on friday what cnel have been up to. lets hope we smash it out the park
Ethanol is on a massive tear as petrol continues to go higher. India smashed its 10% target blend and now heading for 20%. World demand for Ethanol will continue with strength where Ethanol is cheaper. Must bode well for CNEL who should be staring at growing order book the way the world is mandating e10 and then some. https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/economy/after-beating-10-ethanol-blending-target-india-hopes-some-pumps-will-sell-20-blended-fuel-ahead-of-target-8648811.html
I agree hydrogen is massive and the future and especially hydrogen storage where cnel are focusing. CNel are only hinting at what they have and while i am all for realism and not blowing trumpet they need to spell out what they have a bit more to start to secure contract interest and raise stock market value so they can do a placing and invest faster. my last info from RB was dividend was only seriously being discussed for finals 2021 and this was before interims so if we are ever going to get a dividend it will be now. It will be optimum news and mean a proper return to the hkex. With massive retained profits we are valued at a negative value today. That cannot be right.
Invite sent to Facebook group. I have been ikn contact with Ivy Xu a lot over the last 6 yrs. Last email I got was a link for the hkex H1 results when they were uploaded on hkex. This message contained a Chinese symbol. I sent it to my friend who is from Ireland teaching in Shanghai. It was a friendship symbol. I was thinking that it had a deeper meaning. Lke everything is going to be ok. I am also thinking that cnel is in excellent condition in the background. Hydrogen is going to be huge and over a long perior of time. I can honestly see cnel being a £billion market cap company.
Dividend will be the catalyst to a quicker rerate (unless there is a clear plan for investing retained profits to accelerate growth) - otherwise might be more of a slow and steady rise towards IPO levels and hopefully beyond. At least it looks more likely than not that it is coming back to the HKEX now - which wasn't always the most likely outcome. Assuming we reach this goal, whatever the share price action on relisting, not having a wipe out or shares in an unlisted company will be, in itself, something to celebrate!
Certainly lets not start counting chickens. If we secure dividend will certainly change the game but with this hermit BODs we have no idea of their motivations.
Just asked to join! I feel it’s slightly early to celebrate with our track record, however if there’s a small chance I’m in!!
Just sent my join invite ??????
Not sure it will let me share a link.

Great idea milism. I am well up for that. We really do deserve it. I would have been in hong Kong for IPO if it wasn't for Covid. Ended up watching launch on iphone on brink of nervous breakdown. One thing about the suspension means I am not up every few hrs in middle of the night watching shareprice. Instinctively I was waking at 3am every night. Looking forward to that again. Especially with new hydrogen tech. Hopefully news soon from Zambia. Zambian government launched an online discussion to debate E10 Zambia. That was another tick box exercise to getting legislation through parliament. My independent Zambian source has me well informed. Putin has really put Ethanol on the map. Especially in countries where theres no resources.
keep the celebrations on hold. CNEL have a history of letting down investors! lets get back trading on HKex then hopefully watch the market get behind cnel.
roll on results. lets see some magic numbers
It might be an idea to set up a Facebook group as if this shows it potential it would be good to meet for a drink to celebrate.
I just cant wait to get low down on the company. If we get suspension lifted then I think company will go on a pr roadshow similiar to ipo. This company has put me through a lot but about to make some of us life changing money.
The BODs seem to be ticking all the boxes now, let’s hope they have learnt their lesson that communication to the market and investors is paramount. They seem to have a solid business control system, great sales success, profitable delivery and great R&D. They just need to learn to sell that success to investors with regular updates on their progress. This has the potential for a big re-rate when trading resumes.
Hugely positive. I think Friday that a dividend will be announced. I also believe that resumption of trading is now ominous. They have passed every test and more importantly the business side is thriving which means its an important company for the hkex to have listed. I cant see us not hitting £200 million market cap 2022.
with this in the bag it looks now we will be back on the hkex very soon as i thought this might be less favourable but looks the BOD are no longer able to exert extreme cronyism and that should help all investors to make sure we get value for money for all procurement. key bit is basically :
"The results of our enquiries, observation, discussion with responsible personnel as well as
examination of documents and records of the Company and its subsidiaries did not indicate
that there was any irregularity or material error. The management has established effective
and comprehensive internal control procedures to regularly review the accounting and
financial reporting functions of the Group so as to ensure that its accounting and financial
reporting functions are sufficient in terms of resources, qualifications, experience, training
arrangements and training budget and that the relevant management and financial principals
have sufficient experience and qualifications to deal with the daily operating matters of the
Group."

That's a real positive as I thought the internal controls report would be the last piece of reporting to be done.
Further RNS released regarding the internal control review and audit findings. Still no news on resumption of trading but looks like the company is getting things right now.
slight delay but nothing major and good to see them keeping us up to date on things. be very interested im seeing the figures for the full year and if theyve prpgressed and kept momentum going what they did in first 6 months.
divi would be good but i cant see them declaring it. would like to be wrong but personally i cant see it.
looking foward in reading figures showing CNEL are (or were at time of suspension) undervauled. we already know cnel are currently x3 undervauled at current MCAP based on a PE ratio. and even more considering other valuations on pther companies within same sector. possibly x5 depending on profit, cash, debt that will soon be released.
get the results out ... get the final report out in a few weeks after that then get working on relisting and let the market decide if cnel is undervauled or of the market will push cnels SP lower with the lack of faith behind the bod.
Well spotted and looks to be reasonably on track. Keep up the pressure on Ivy regarding dividend as i only remember this discussion of a dividend was brought up for the 2020 results but that got canned because of the suspension. Richard B is also strongly in favour or a dividend simply because the company is grossly undervalued and yield is a key factor is valuation of companies and makes sure silly valuations like CNEL are not allowed to continue. if the board ever plan to grow the business they need to ensure the market cap is appropriate so they can issue shares. There is still hurdles to overcome i am sure the hkex will see CNEL have only offered lip service to provide transparency etc. The auditors have almost certainly closed a door on some very mysterious cash deals with mates and they should be honourable and take it out cash through the front door with everyone else. since they are a large owner do they really want to spite the small number of pis they have. at the very least they should offer to buy back all shares until the price at least reaches the IPO price.
Details the next board meeting on 10th June to sign off accounts for Dec 2021. And issue of dividend if any. I suspect no divi again.
This final report has more detail and although they wrote this in retrospective circumstances it talks confidently about 2021 and expansion abroad. Board look to own directly and indirectly 70% of company so lets hope dividend is announced as we cant be taken over. Plenty of positives.
