Lol- tell that to the market cap!
@halfpenny: what is your purpose of posting that?
I have significant holdings in both gold miners and BTC / BTC miners.
What if the gold price halved tommorrow? How much would CEY drop by and could they even stay in business? What holds it up apart from sentiment?
FYI. I have quite a large holding in CEY, but I am not so naive to think that gold is some holy metal whose price has to always increase.

CEY under 100 is still a steal imo
On the subject of drilling rigs , it is worth mentioning that Tietto Minerals (ASX:TIE) has been drilling tens of thousands of metres in Cote D'Ivoire using and operating their own fleet of rigs at substantially lower costs than Capitol Drilling.

Whisper it, but gold heading back to $1800. The price often seems to move a lot at around 1pm.
Seems to be a change in sentiment at last.
A long way to go though.
I'll be more cheerful as soon as we get to 100+p.

A good read in what is now happening.
Yes I suspect a more rapid recovery of production than previously reported including drilling result for the rest of the Sukari Tenament as well as the new prospects.
Having read the strict conditions of Capitols contract I would expect them to throw all their equipment at the tasks in hand.
Their future contracts is on the line not just with Centamin but all fresh prospectors especially in Egypt.
IMHO.
Interesting comment on Sukari in their RNS
“ -- Transformational Sukari Gold Mine (Egypt) waste mining and expanded drilling contracts performing ahead of contract targets:”

Sorry JG I’m not at myself today, I’ve a pinched nerve in my neck so my concentration isn’t too good.
This app is the best for real time quotes
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/investing-com-stocks-finance/id909998122
And the one I posted earlier is best for news stream (iPad only) and for the price of gold live on both phone and iPad.
JG68, if you use Apple the app is great for real time prices.
The news stream doesn’t work on my phone but it does on my iPad.
Hope you get something out of it.
Thanks Razorsedge, appreciated

Our governments could have brought in legislation like Norway to stop oil companies gas flaring that would have meant saving decades worth of north Sea natural gas which could have been stored and used now, but they didn't because they aren't really serious about saving the environment and are lapdogs of big business (oil companies).
10 Oct 2021
There are thought to be over 10,000 gas flares around the world that contribute to global warming by emitting tonnes of carbon dioxide and methane.
Flared gas is a by-product of oil extraction and is frequently used as a method of eliminating unwanted gasses in countries such as Albania, Algeria, Libya, Iraq, Russia and Nigeria.
Yet, year after year deadlines set to stop the practice are missed.!
The oil industry says better infrastructure is needed to stop flaring and some of the world’s largest producers of oil have committed to ending flaring by 2030. What will it take for that to happen?

I heard from Siko, he is well and with the help of friends still doing his Egyptian charity work which is going well.
No doubt when he has some new news he will post it on the this forum.
As they say no news maybe good news!
Hello Paul. Just beating expectations marginally would put the pps above a pound and strengthen the recovery mode.
I was just looking at the past dividend history. It would be nice to get back to the 13, 15, 16 cents again but it feels like whenever we have had a good dividend some bad news crops up ad the share price tanks. It would be nice if we got a bit of decent luck, Martin Horgan pulling a rabbit out of the hat and getting things on track and a decent dividend. Has anyone heard from Siko?
