I'll be surprised (pleasantly) if this rise holds its ground. - I'm expecting a steady erosion as the trading-day unfolds.
If the day-traders have caught the wave, it might be worth something to consider. - I'm thinking of Steve here. :) - This is not advice - I never advise. - :)
Hi Henderson,
After what happened in the past regarding the erratic production and unfulfilled admittedly as we are now aware unrealistic predicted future guidance of the previous management I remain suspicious of any RNS and cautious for the future until the proof is delivered.

I agree it’s appalling - but again, as I always say, the system is the system, work within it to make money. Knowing the system is the best way. When the system adjusts, adjust- if personal views differ from the system doesn’t bother me. I’m not here to be “right”… just want to make money - of course I have my principles, but if I listened to them all I’d have fook all and be living in a hut and freezing to death lol
Steve,
I think its appalling to have any kind of error in published data and having to correct it. It makes me wonder what else is going wrong with centamin figures. These guys are paid a fortune. Something is not right here. Tony
Double checking- Hochs and fres release their prod RNS which we’re both positive- so all being equal most likely cause here at mo is the PROVEN… I could of course be wrong .
Anyway it’s good news- with miners releasing good RNS this always helps
Miners in general have taken a completed battering over last month - be interesting to see why barrick open at this pm…
Spot on Rebess , you read between the lines.
Unlikely-
Fres and Hochs only a fraction behind today.
Proven is better than probable though so was happy to go back in earlier on this.
Happy that all things are rising.
Steve the valuation improvement is only worth 30,000 ounces of gold as probable to proven only has a 10% value difference. The share would have gone up a penny. The broker report which is similar to others may have been the pump move.
EVERYTHING is green on my dashboard, even cryptos which have a hassle a tough week.
S and P is simply bonkers…. Results keep pushing higher- not that long ago all the “experts” were predicting a crash as it went the other way lol
I asked my broker and his reply was…
“Investors Chronicle comment”
https://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/news/2024/01/23/centamin-hits-targets-as-gold-price-rises/
. Also miners getting boost - eu is thinking of banning some imports of Russian aluminium, just alu , for now…. But could be halo effect
Proven far better than probable Tony
Proven and probable figures overall the same in the reserve total. It is not that huge of difference as one category came down a bit the overall figure in ounces was the same.
Nope you are correct
@Tornadotony Why? More PROVEN reserves. Unless I misunderstand.
Fres, hochs etc also a big jump albeit not quite as large but nonetheless a big jump
Surely this can not be higher on the error?
ERRATUM - Centamin issues a correction to the below announcement the Company made on 19 December 2023. The total Sukari Underground Mineral Reserves were accurately reported but, due to a typographical error during the announcement drafting process, the Proven and Probable classification was incorrectly reported, resulting in an understatement of the higher confidence Proven Mineral Reserves and an overstatement of the Probable Mineral Reserves

Mr Bond,
You are certainly not alone in your opinion in your Last paragraph!
In a report published last week, the World Gold Council said that gold outperformed major Chinese assets as it saw a 17% increase against the Renminbi. The move outpaced gold’s 14% gain against the U.S. dollar.

What Tibbs likes to read.
Sorry posted my reply to increased 2024 production in the wrong thread!
Thank you Razor's ,
Fingers crossed that this happens, even better with a high POG and with a decent reduction in AISC would be even better!
