This can be painful at times Mr T. I was just checking when the dividend will be reinvested with HL and it is usually between the 11th and the 21st. I was hoping the dividend would have gone through around now at this price as it always seems to go up at reinvestment time. At least it didn't go through with the 5p spike yesterday morning.
I think we need a few things to start lining up for us to get an increase in the share price (after the dividend has been reinvested!) ----good figures with the next update, with ounces mined and better AISC, and also looking towards the end of the waste clearing contact---------and obviously the gold price to climb a bit as well. As always , a few director buys wouldn't do any harm.
It always seems that when we get on a bit of a good run up into the 110's and above, that we get the slide back down.
I really wasn't expecting this to dip much below a 100p
As usual , fingers crossed for the golden flip flops.
Gold down a tad, but spanked again today despite some positive news, market still doesn't trust Centamin!
Centamin PLC (LON: CEY) shares rose on Tuesday after the company released the results of its pre-feasibility study (PFS) of its Doropo Gold Project located in northeastern Côte d’Ivoire.
The PFS revealed a Maiden Mineral Reserve Estimate of 1.87 million ounces of gold.

Valid points Sotolo, it makes sense to learn as much as one can about any company in the past and present and part of this research is taking part in forums such as this.
Cowichan, thanks as ever for your research and views, the great thing about this board is the breadth of opinions and the tolerance. The wonderful Siko has posted while not owning any so please ignore the few insults and keep posting; I might disagree with you sometimes but greatly appreciate the freedom to do so.
European indexes rose in premarket trading on Wednesday as investors awaited data reports from across the continent, including Italian inflation figures and continued to focus on the European Central Bank's (ECB) forum on central banking in Sintra, where the bank's head Christine Lagarde said on Tuesday that it is unlikely the ECB will say "in the near future" that the interest rate peak has been reached.
The Euro Stoxx 50 climbed 0.45% at 7:37 am CET, the DAX increased 0.37%, the CAC 40 added 0.38% and the FTSE 100 traded 0.31% higher at the same time.
The euro lost 0.07% against the dollar to go for 1.09529 at 7:39 am CET and the pound declined 0.16% compared to the greenback to sell for 1.27307 at the same time.

Happy hump y’al
The short answer is that I would very much like to be invested, again.
I think an investor ought to do his/her homework before, during (and after in my case) so as to not be caught unaware.
I'll ask you, what is the alternative - take the management's word for it? That hasn't been a reliable or forthcoming source - so I seek alternatives. Do I think Centamin is investable ? Not at the moment - too many unknowns. Can it be investable again? Sure - but as I regularly point out - the current management takes extreme liberties when sharing info. (some of it blatantly misleading)
The best outcome I see is a takeover by a reputable team - perhaps B2gold - then I'd have the confidence in disclosure - and the diversity we as Centamin shareholders were promised many many moons ago.
I hope that answers your question satisfactorily? Centamin is but one of many companies I track and have invested in over the decades. Posting on here really doesn't take much time - it's a tiny fraction of what I do daily. Best, D
Hi 3bear,
As a long term holder I can assure you that Cowichan in'snt in the pay of any organisation dedicated to promoting negativity towards Centamin.
To be fair Cowichan has been instrumental in promoting good news and positivity about the company on many occasions in the past.
I wrote to the company and to its PR company in August 2022 asking if Sukari “Bonanza grades” have been verified as genuine and their presence and quality can be verified by other experts other than Mr Mc Phail?
I thought you were back in on the 15th of June??
The biggest impact of the RNS was the company holding 1.8M gold ounces as probable reserves. It was not Indicated resources it was reserves. The value of a gold ounce as a reserve without a functional mine is typically $100 per ounce. Perhaps with respect to the grade of ore it may be as low as $80 per ounce. An indicated resource ounce at higher grades may be valued at $40 per ounce, but again let us say it was $30 for being under 2g/t. So the value impact over previous RNS knowledge on Doropo was $50 x 1.8M ounces = $90M in the ground value. This value is worth 6.7p per share. The rise in the share price was completely justified. The sell down retreat may have stopped Centamin falling into the 80's on gold's retreat. The stock is approaching a bottom it is possibly a good buying opportunity. It has a tailwind of Doropo reserves valuation, 22% increase in production over H1 into H2 and we are getting improving news on the India monsoon weather when I last posted it on here yesterday.
The mine of course is open pit and it requires $73M infrastructure spend now all included in the costs. Infrastructure includes roads, power connections to grid and other utilities. The AISC and gold price assumptions reflect the inflation impact since June 2021.
All the best Tony
Can I just ask you Cowichan in all honesty are you being paid to post on here, or do you have some other motive?
It's just that flipping through your posts there is an unremitting stream of extreme negativity about this company. I find this odd in someone who is no longer invested.
It's just that when I'm not invested in a stock I have no interest in the chatboard, couldn't care less? Why would you spend so much time sledging a stock you were out of, unless you had a reason to do so?
The post of yours that freaked me out was when you suggested the guy who oversaw the bonanza grade drill results for CEY might be a fraud?
You are coming up with really quite sophisticated content, at an incredible output rate, all of it trashing a stock you're not invested in.
To be clear I don't want you to justify you posts, I want you to answer the question: Why are you doing it?
Please do send me an email (what we're doing here is called a 'chat' post)
I have no problem letting you know who I am : https://www.linkedin.com/in/don-lawson-98619370/
please do the same and share your linkedin account for all on this chat forum to see , maybe we can be reconciled ? want to friend me ? Jesus did.
Wow - clam down, calm down Cowichan, it only took a couple of emails to see the true narcissist rear it's ugly head- I suggest you take your meds without delay.
My point is made, others have thankfully seen it.
Keep enjoying your amazing time posting endlessly of stock that you have nothing invested in.
And as for proof, go back and you'll see them (you do work), and on your searching you'll gain benefit from reading an unlimited stack of other comments where you've been pulled up on your abusive and nutty, bonkers, bizarre behaviour.
Toodeloo :-).
Steve-o
i said post the proof - not start hyperventilating
no proof ?
there will be some who enjoy your vitriol - 007 will no doubt - but for you and for 007 I say
Jesus loves you, both ( so take your meds! )
I dared to comment on a post of yours over a year ago and out nowhere go a load of **** from you.
You are a one dimensional poster who understands nothing about economics or trading, and why you spend ages endlessly posting on a stock you have zero invested in (as you have posted), only knows- bizarre behaviour and demonstrable of someone who is clearly on meds rather than assuming others are- although who on earth would think on mentioned meds unless they were on them.
You clearly are a narcissist who hates any sort of challenge and simply can't handle any despite continually dishing it out to others.
Please post exactly when I countered your posts on inflation
and when I said anything derogatory to you
you won't find it
thus, get back on your meds
ps
if it's being a horrible person to warn others not to listen to Centamin's mistruths and post actual research on the company instead of fluff - then I choose horrible every day of the week for the rest of my horrible existence
I guess my post will get removed, but at least it will be up here long enough for others to see I hold the same view of you as do many others.
Yep alas- a minor blip. And if you followed me closely I've actually traded a porfit in the past 6months on a falling SP with my strategy of trading.
I did think from your last post that maybe you been hacked as you weren't abusive for once- but know, you've not been hacked, you are definitely the abusive, clueless Cowichan that I was referring to.
Great to see you've finally woken up and agreed that inflation has been an issue, only taken to over a year to cotton on lol, but then that's all I can expect from a horrible person like yourself.
Have you lost it?
you proudly posted you bought in Centamin yesterday - then boasted you did the right thing - now you are lamenting those who bought this am ? get back on the meds
Costs from the PEA released last year:
total to build US$275 million ; AISC of US$ 904/oz at a gold price of US$1,450/oz for an after tax a NPV of US$234 million and IRR of 21%
et voila, costs from today:
total to build US$349 million ; AISC of US$1,017/oz at a gold price of US$1,600/oz for a BEFORE tax NPV of US$330 million IRR of 26%
Shareholders - can you spot the changes? Good for you!

Other cr*p:
The metallurgical bla bla actually stayed the same although worded to sound better, the electricity should come from the grid and costs less than diesel (astounding!) and to quote today's PFS;
"Under the current Ivorian mining code, mining permits are subject to a 10% government free-carry ownership interest. However, for the purpose of the PFS project evaluation and disclosures included within this document, the cash flow model is reflected on a 100% project basis"
Now that is hilarious. What, when reality isn't pretty enough resort to fallacy? These goons are the real deal.
and finally, another gem from today's PFS announcement, and I quote:
"Construction cost-saving opportunities by increasing in-house project execution versus the use of engineering, procurement and construction management contractors"
Now there is the first truly honest thing Centamin management has said in a long while - it actually costs way less to do it in-house than hire a contractor?!
Too bad our good Centamin Lords didn't realize this BEFORE they signed away hundreds of millions to the Capital Drilling waste contract at Sukari.
So glad I sold this sh*t show when I did. Have fun waiting for Doropo LTHs
Yep- unless someone hacked your account
Are you sure you got the right guy steve-o?
We live in hope- disappointing SP Day yet again- just over 5% gain early doors then lost nearly all of of despite only an approx 10dollar gold drop- feel for those who bought in on the peak this morning- CEY SP hey- that’s CEY- yet again, like after other RNS’S- all I can say is thank goodness this RNS didn’t contain bad news!
Gap created this morning appears to be closed as 0.05p is within rounding error around 90.85p. Gap remaining is above between 100.5p and 101.1p which is large enough (0.6p) for a back filling target in a future CEY rally.
But how politically stable is the Doporo project ? The gold is in the ground , but can the profit be exported?
Terry , Mr Bond speaks true, from experience!
