This one as well need its own cash raises to define the find.!!!
Too many project for a small company is just like a hot potato in the mouth.
God protect us from further delution.
This is the thing with BOD, lots of various projects at different stages (as per their strategy).
Great RNS
Chairman, John Teeling, commented: "We are delighted to have been awarded this Prospecting License over the Dokowayo kimberlite pipe in Eswatini, which we applied for several years ago. The pipe was last mined a long time ago and following breakthroughs in both exploration and mining technology we are excited about Dokowayo's potential viability, especially seeing that Dokowayo is proven to contain both pink and Type IIA diamonds, which are greatly in demand and fetch amongst the very highest of diamond prices".
One thing to think on...when James Campbell found and developed the mine Lucara now have, that company African Diamonds sold for 20x it's lowest SP and 10x the price if you'd been buying at average SP. BOD is gearing up to do that again, with multiple areas, but KX36 in particular is looking very promising.
Many thanks JPW !
I’m thinking I’ll bail from this one and put it down to another 45% loss.
Atb
There was pent up demand after COVID, and it through prices artificially high, and then people seemingly thinking high prices were here to stay... then we had costs surge (oil for mining i'm told is 50% of costs) and so suddenly we had a falling Rough diamond price and extra costs to mine. Now... well we are seeing a flat to low diamond price - https://www.paulzimnisky.com/roughdiamondindex. This, should start to creep back up, if... the world economy gets inflation under control. Basically... finger to the wind, i'd say a rising diamond price through 2024, but really not until 2025 will we see it at a price we'd call good for us. Time will always tell, but BOD is positioning itself well. Not for short term gain, but in the next future years ahead (especially as LAB grown diamonds find a market similar to Luxury crystal jewellery, rather than direct competition to REAL diamonds). Though, that is my thoughts... the world will do what the world will!
Hello JPW, you seem to be very clued-up on diamond prices (along with other posters). Can I ask you of your view of WHY diamond prices are currently low. Is it because of a post-Covid financial hit to world wide economies - and crystallised carbon isn’t high on people’s agenda compared to being able to afford food? Or is it something else?
But arguably more importantly, is WHEN you think this situation might turn from bearish to bullish? Are we talking months or years do you reckon?
Thanks in advance :D
We move with the tide and... the diamond Prices. Both are low... times will change, and then we will be in a significantly good position to be buoyed high!
....but it's dead out there
Bit of a silly valuation here. Whole small cap market tho is sleeping. Will burst into life soon. February is the month
I hope it does, just for another 2 weeks. then i might be able to sink some serious money in.
It simply can't stay hovering around 0.5p. Its way way undervalued
As InvestingGenius says - do the maths!! Cf the Mcap of £5m or so (and no debt).
This is also a very important piece of BOD’s role in the rapidly-developing Kalahari diamonds jigsaw and hugely enhances BOD’s already-central seat at that table. Roll on February for the other anomalies.
Excellent news, worth the worrying wait & recent quiet period - Go, Bod, Go!!!
Do the Maths.
“ The KX36 project is a 3.5 hectares ("Ha") kimberlite pipe in the Kalahari. The pipe has resources of 17.9 million tonnes ("Mt") at 35 carats per hundred tonnes ("cpht") (indicated) and 6.7Mt at 36 cpht (inferred) at $65 per carat ("/ct"). The modelled grade range is 57-76 cpht at an estimated diamond value of up to $107/ct.”
Good point JP. I am happy with my holding here . Adding when I can.
All connected to Rough Diamond price, that fell back slightly this week. Until that goes up, there will be a 'hovering' of SP on almost all natural Diamond companies.
Recent placee’s buying @ 0.5p now look to be 20% down on today’s bid price of 0.4p.
Oh dear.
Very little cheer here :(
There is no good news anywhere currently about diamond mining or diamond pricing. At least none that i have read anywhere. Sorry but it is just really hard to see where BOD can generate the wow factor news /progress that is going to be needed to drive up the share price meaningfully.
AGM likely to just mention the exploration work program ahead - and how 'excited' management believe the opportunity ahead is ..... Hard to get excited on this one
The Annual General Meeting ("AGM") is due to be held Wednesday 24th January 2024 at The Hilton London Paddington, 146 Praed St, London W2 1EE, United Kingdom at 11.00am.
Maybe JC is lining up some positive news leading up to the AGM..?
Hi Trek. That would be illegal insider trading. But imo our regulatory authorities are so impotent nowadays that anything might be possible ?
Somebody in the know perhaps!
A similar trade went through last week.
2.6 mill there..
AGM time, so he will be traveling to London and then meetings here in UK before getting back to the day job :)
