Bit of a silly valuation here. Whole small cap market tho is sleeping. Will burst into life soon. February is the month
I hope it does, just for another 2 weeks. then i might be able to sink some serious money in.
It simply can't stay hovering around 0.5p. Its way way undervalued
As InvestingGenius says - do the maths!! Cf the Mcap of £5m or so (and no debt).
This is also a very important piece of BOD’s role in the rapidly-developing Kalahari diamonds jigsaw and hugely enhances BOD’s already-central seat at that table. Roll on February for the other anomalies.
Excellent news, worth the worrying wait & recent quiet period - Go, Bod, Go!!!
Do the Maths.
“ The KX36 project is a 3.5 hectares ("Ha") kimberlite pipe in the Kalahari. The pipe has resources of 17.9 million tonnes ("Mt") at 35 carats per hundred tonnes ("cpht") (indicated) and 6.7Mt at 36 cpht (inferred) at $65 per carat ("/ct"). The modelled grade range is 57-76 cpht at an estimated diamond value of up to $107/ct.”
Good point JP. I am happy with my holding here . Adding when I can.
All connected to Rough Diamond price, that fell back slightly this week. Until that goes up, there will be a 'hovering' of SP on almost all natural Diamond companies.
Recent placee’s buying @ 0.5p now look to be 20% down on today’s bid price of 0.4p.
Oh dear.
Very little cheer here :(
There is no good news anywhere currently about diamond mining or diamond pricing. At least none that i have read anywhere. Sorry but it is just really hard to see where BOD can generate the wow factor news /progress that is going to be needed to drive up the share price meaningfully.
AGM likely to just mention the exploration work program ahead - and how 'excited' management believe the opportunity ahead is ..... Hard to get excited on this one
The Annual General Meeting ("AGM") is due to be held Wednesday 24th January 2024 at The Hilton London Paddington, 146 Praed St, London W2 1EE, United Kingdom at 11.00am.
Maybe JC is lining up some positive news leading up to the AGM..?
Hi Trek. That would be illegal insider trading. But imo our regulatory authorities are so impotent nowadays that anything might be possible ?
Somebody in the know perhaps!
A similar trade went through last week.
2.6 mill there..
AGM time, so he will be traveling to London and then meetings here in UK before getting back to the day job :)
Must have lost his Internet connection!
Yep good to see a chunky buy, but a tad disappointing it’s not moved the dial. I reckon if it had been a sell, the sp would have dived. Still, things now appear to be getting more positive again :D
Big money loading it
Very strange
Amazing how today’s closing share price appears to be the very same as yesterday’s but we are reported as being 10.53% up ???
What complete and utter garbage !!
“…Once mining permits have been secured, which the company says are imminent, plant and equipment currently in use at Marsfontein will move to the larger prospect. BOD continues to offer one of the few opportunities to invest in junior diamond exploration. The company may be a bold bet for 2024 if it can resume drilling and find interest from possible venture partners…”

4) We are in the works for a Joint venture in Botswana, JC knows this is the part we need most.
Why dont. they do a deal with Tsodilo Res in Botswana for their BK16 kimberlite then.
But it is still hard to get away from reality that diamonds are not commodity flavour of the month. Not helped by Govt Bots and DeBeers continually sniping at each other for changes in the profit share distribution. It would not surprise me if the BDP talk tough towards DeBeers through 2024 ahead of Elections in October 2024 - nothing in that to calm or improve the market i reckon.
I understand your feelings, though, I am lucky enough to talk direct with management. Here is my take: 1) Like a Us Economy and the saying 'it's the Economy Stupid!', with Diamond companies and explorers, miners... it's the price of Diamonds (rough). The price has fallen in 2023, and so did the share price on all those miners and companies (at same time a lot of costs were increasing). Thus, if you look at rough diamond price and our (other companies such as Lucara, Petra, Gem etc) and you will see a direct correlation. 2) Why mine now, when little profit... meaning , that we are already seeing a turn up in Diamond prices, lower fuel costs, inflation and borrowing costs dropping that are massive parts of mining and it has meant many of those other companies are showing a start to a rising SP. 3) We have Thorny River... that Water license will soon be there and what better time than when Diamond prices are rising... 4) We are in the works for a Joint venture in Botswana, JC knows this is the part we need most. 5) The G7 announcement that real diamonds must have identification (blockchain etc) id going to cost money and time for companies, but ultimately... we at BOD will be able to differentiate from Lab grown diamonds, will be from the best sources of 'quality and unusual coloured/sized Diamonds). Residual values of Lab diamonds or even real bought pre 2023, will find it harder to show where there diamond was from and therefore potential resale value. 6) In a world that has higher Interest rates on loans (even if falling from highs), we are a debt free company. IN all this are so, so many permutations, But... the risk to reward is still there... the SP has not been pulled down by mass selling of shares, quite the opposite. So good news going forward and 10-25%+ JUMPS AND SUDDENLY WE ARE BACK AT 1P.Hold fast, time yet for positive reward, even though it is jittery to see a low SP like this (which the SP has been near previously and rose).
