Agree Torquay, l@@ks like the British populous are undergoing a reducation regarding Brexit!
When I was 20 visited Devon on my own. Met some locals. Had a half of scrumpy in a pub. Went to another where they did not sell it so had a beer. Then at third pub had another scrumpy. brain seriously addled. VERY ILL INDEED
On the subject of cider and I think a little diversion on a Friday is allowed, Somerset local cider will make your toes tingle. Utterly delicious but lethal as over 4 pints the world becomes a haze.
Thanks for info. Radar I know Scrumpy Jack. I would NEVER pay €200 for a white wine howver good. When I go to a local trattoria I have a quarter litre of house red which costs €1.50!!! Exvellent it is. Today's Nazionale have a rather sympathetic attitude to UK. Reading about Trump if he sit he's free trade he will find his orders for Boeings cancelled and replaced with Airbus ( source New York Times). The dynamic duo Major .& Blair sounds like rather a dodgy firm of down market lawyers. So Thatcher ( concealed paedophiles in and out of her party), Major, Blair, Brown, Cameron, May. All arrogant except for Major and either ineffective, mad (Blair), or. Putting things off - all of them EG projects, House of Lords, runways etc. Seems a long time since Brunel changed the gauge of the GWR from London to Bristol over one weekend. French built Paris to Lyons in 18 months I think. Pity it is not of much use. When is HS2 ready? When does it start? When will Heathrow be ready? Why not use Manston has the longest runway anywhere just needs infra structure and a rail link to Adhford. Would only take. A year or. Two. Heathrow is jammed both by the M25 and air pollution. S plague on all their houses!
Shown real leadership with Brexit ..I'm impressed . Also uk lost Republic of Ireland in 1916 du to home rule saga , ironically could lose Scotland in 2016 over another conservative infighting 100 years later .
Bruce, son, Another tipple you should try is Scrumpy Jack it will go down a treat before or after your bottle of Gaia e Ray a Piedmont Chardonny. Cheers in happiness. Radar
.. new lows caused by US elections.. the promise of higher rates by the FED.. the solution for the euro will be higher rates. .. more discipline for EU members in budgeting.. could reach parity the way its headed .. but it could be short term if rates are raised..
Had a superb day in the wind today - "four birdies" and my second best score ever on the course - I come home to an excellent meal and nice half bottle Rioja "Gran Roja" opened yesterday, now only a memory. Turned on the news to hear the propaganda being peddled by the city - "TEN YEARS OF NO GROWTH" either in the economy or wages whilst we are supposed to endure the ravages of inflation caused by the vote. No end to the horror stories as public opinion is manipulated which must be the prelude to THINK AGAIN and we'll help you by holding a second referendum, so that the English can get it right this time. Together with the other news of the day piled on the top, almost opened another bottle, settled instead for totting up my score card to see what my Stableford score was and was not too disappointed. The new referendum when it takes place will most probably be followed by a new General Election, which might at least allow the air to clear and get rid of some of the dead wood at the top of the tree. I am thinking particularly of the one with the blond thatch who although lucky is long past his sell by date. Who will replace them is another days work but there has to be a few individuals who could apply themselves to the task of at least getting the wheels out of the ditch. The end of the Union is out of the question whatever about this country - currency wars are very damaging and are the main reason that the Euro was introduced in the first place - Helmut and Francois were not perhaps the brightest of men but in introducing the single currency they were hoping to put an end to the speculators game. A stable currency is good for business but there have to be some rules or the mess that is Greece,Italy and Hungary will spread. It is the best tool available but the EU urgently needs to pull its finger out and address the very serious situation that it faces - if this means some fresh faces so be it - to many of them spend too much time polishing the seat of trousers whilst they are filling their pockets. The European idea is too important to simply abandon. Lesson ends Good luck all, am of to watch Man U on the telly.
Bruce , Orchard Thieves and Dutch Gold would be alleged tibble of certain class groups for info. Both will blow your head off.
What are Orchard Thieves and Dutch Gold? Italian wine is now increasingly popular in the UK. The production most years is greater than Frace. I do not include Prosecco although I like it better than Champagne e crept Pol Roger. The super Tuscans are superb and flaunt the wine laws. By the way enjoy Jamesons as well as Scotch. HiN is about the third of the UK price in Italy. God help the EU if Renzi lists in Decrmber.
That's why Europe need its own regulatory ageny. Did Europe get anything from US banks for causing the sub prime crisis? The European Union is useless!!!
.. Trump. .. trumping the Obummer political decisions.... 180 degree turn...
.. there is talk that Trump is going to force a change on the Deutsche Bank - Justice Dept lawsuit.. the 15 billion penalty lawsuit.. DB bought a lot of uncertainty upon the banking industry... interest rates are also going up.
Three birds with the one stone Bruce! Yes I'm aware Banca Monte des Peschi is indeed Italian but the Portuguese bank I referred to was BCP. And the second bird, in a very recent poll 56% of people polled in Great Britain now favoured remaining in EU, and across Europe satisfaction with EU has increased since Brexit vote, except Spain. Finally, I don't know who is playing with our SP or why, but with electronic trading algorithms it should not be too difficult to move an SP over a period of time. MHO.
This end of day sell off is becoming too much of a habit. Someone must be offloading.
Hello Bruce, son, Did you drink a few tinnies of orchard thieves or Dutch gold before you wrote that last post and while you were thinking about Gaia e Ray a Piedmont Chardonny ?
It will have to go to every whim of america. Young are subjected to the royal family, inclusive society .,sad sad sad
"France ditto with wine although sensibly the Brits are beginning to latch on to Italian ones ". Really Bruce.. .https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/nov/16/european-ministers-boris-johnson-prosecco-claim-brexit Interested to read a bit on the german car deal as well if you could post that link please.
I think it is a good time to be young. A new dawn is breaking. Lots of new opportunities for trade especially with USA protectionist. Germany has apparently already signalled it will do a deal with £18 billion of car exports to UK to shift. France ditto with wine although sensibly the Brits are beginning to latch on to Italian ones . Very toothsome and reasonable eg Montefalco from near where I live. Yesterday Insaw Gaia e Ray a Piedmont Chardonny at an eye watering €200 a bottle! no I did not buy one. Italy will be out of the Euro currency within 18 months. I doubt the EU will Exist in another decade. The last time a Euro currency was tried in the 19th century it lasted 10 years or so.
This is clearly positive news for new mortgage lending for Irish banks, however new mortgage lending continues to be constrained by the lack of new housing completions in Ireland. On the 15th November, BOI’s share price traded to a high of 23.5c, just 1% below our 12 month target price of 23.8c. This rally was driven a rising yield environment in Europe and a steepening yield curve which is supportive of the bank’s Net Interest Margin and should significantly reduce the size of its pension deficit which stood at €1.5bn at September 2016. The recent strengthening of the pound also has a positive translation effect on UK denominated assets and UK profits. The share price has retraced over the past week as investors took profits on technically overbought trading signals and as their attention shifted to the political risk of the Italian Constitutional Referendum on the 4th December. We maintain our 12 month target price at 23.8c and believe the Group will have a sufficiently strong capital position to begin dividend payments relating to 2017 financial year. 20.7c is a big technical support level in the near term we to hold in and consolidate before pushing higher.
So who is controlling the SP and how is it done? I think we should be told! The other bank Banco Monte Paschi is Italian not Portuguese. I may not know how to spell it but unfortunately I bank there! It is about 500 years old and a total shambles.
At 10 last night.......it was all old people protesting for article 50 to be triggered. I feel so sorry for the young British as graham norton said . Fingers crossed Supreme Court stos this madness
Thanks very much for that John, a lot of info, interesting just a a glance, I will look at it more closely later.
Warn of considerable market correction due to eu political instability, Doomberg.
