I agree with all your points, the corrupt betting in so many sports appears vast and needs reigning in. Having said that I think there will have been collateral damage as with the volume of customers there are bound to be coincidental betting patterns to a degree. Also running down accounts that are dormant with a monthly charge seems a good financial move but an immoral one if they make little attempt to contact these people. Nature of the industry I guess, betdaq seems to operate similarly according to similar accounts.
Betfair is head and shoulders above the rest we know that, and it will be a long long time before anything even comes close to matching or even passing for that mind. But I still hear what you say. I've been with Betfair must be close on 10yrs now and and I have never had to use customer service, so I can't comment, but the fact I've been happy for those last ten years tells you there product ( well for me anyways ) is again top notch. Regards the accounts of wrong doers, from what I know they all p1ss in the same pot so to speak. With that I mean it's very well within all the betting companies to look out for anything out of the ordinary and I've seen on TV of people being brought to justice through irregular betting patterns and it's always going to be trying to out wit each other. It's been going on donkeys always trying to beat the system. The better tech available the better the chances of catching them.
Betfair has the best product and one stop shop on the market. Yet its the evasive customer service and accounts of wrong doing that peppers the internet that could well be its undoing. Any thoughts on any reputable alternatives welcome?
I've always wanted to be in BET but was never paying 1100 to enter, so I was patient and waited and waited until I finally saw the price I wanted to enter into, that being 950. Was slightly worried to see it go down into the 930's but that worry was short lived and I feel a lot better it's closing in on that £10. Just chuffed I managed finally to get into this share...... I was tempted to plunge 50k of my Grans life savings into this as well, considering I have Power of Attorney, but bottled it. I could be tempted next time but no worries if it never returned back to my entry point.
I think it got dragged down with all the other bookies with negative sentiment re the fobt's' , although it has no involvement with that sector it was easy pickings for the market . Still might be worth the plunge. I've always done ok with bet. It's pretty solid and 10/15% swings are not to be spat at. Miss france served me well Saturday and the bet/365 accounts look healthy now. Laid her off in running but still picked up 8k ( 16k would have returned had I let it ride ) Off to ascot Saturday for the Victoria cup. Redvers is my shout but it's an each way shout. He's very good round there and is drawn low which usually has the advantage. However my old mate Jack dexter is running next week and the likelihood of soft ground will play to his already class strengths. For me he's a group 1 sprinter on the soft , and is worth backing big when it's nrnb.. I have slowly started to stake build. As York looks like it's got a week of rain ahead ( met office) Gl mate/all
Funny thing is that i had the same idea monte ;)
Was thinking if it touch the 9.50s I would start to buy back in. Looks optimistic now and the charts are pointing to a quick return to 1100
Breakaway gap this morning? Next few weeks could be interesting?
Oh dear...... N U R S E
Um... you dont actually know what.betfair does do you?
So u value betfair@ 261 million. ? Got anymore tips? Not sure reading that comment your capable of valuing a £1 coin gl thou
This firm has been a sinking ship ever since the big layers of bets were effectively banned by taxing them to the hilt. The website is an absolute disgrace, indeed Captain Cook would need a year to navigate it.There is no liquidity and no reason to hold on to the shares.Betdaq liquidity is on the rise and I would estimate the shares are at least overvalued by 75%.....
Thanks for the info. Definitely thinking of jumping in here again shortly. I know Danny complaining for being played out of position. He couldn't finish his breakfast and he wants to be the main man. Probably good for Moyes health that he is gone, he has been looking defeated for a while. Ill check out your horse sounds promising. Haven't had a look at the football yet, but Real at home are strong and Bayern looking a little shaky of late. Might have a small bet on them given the price. Cheers
Evening all. Arctic. If you look at all the charts in the gaming sector April / may is a sell off traditionally especially with a lot a negativity by the media of late. Yield is strong and has growth so sub 9.00 ( unlikely) ill load up again. Man U oh what fun we've had lol. Writings on the wall when Danny welbeck puts a transfer request in. Fekin lol. Lol he ain't good enough to put a burnley top on lol. Hodgson out if him and cleverly are rio bound! Miss france in the 1000 guineas. Have £2 k place/win on a 14/1 average. She looks class 2 weeks to go. Gl all
Yeah bubba Watson lol. Running away with it. Small bit on matt kuchar just now at 46/1. Good player. Good shout on your footy bets. All in. Having a grand treble tomorrow. Bournemouth Preston Everton all win. Gl all
Any Masters bets. I had Jiminez to be first round leader 100/1. Show he blew his lead on amen corner. I don't usually bet on winners till after the cut
Yep you got it mate
Derby. Home and hosed after 30 mins. Unbelievable went 1-0. Down. Honestly say I stuck another £500 on. Men v boys arctic fox. 7 loan players out of contract No manager. One win in 17..derby just to good Yes some bets of £1500 and above go to a trader from time to time . Gutted I missed Brighton, had a thought the Leicester team might be hung over. Lol. Gl al.

I had some money on Big Shu as well. Not huge into my horses but so them both run and Cheltenham and they looked good. That is some pretty big bets you are putting on. What makes you so sure Derby will win? Also surprised 365/Paddy wouldn't take larger singles than that. # I like Peterborough and Bournemouth - Reading BTTS
Ran very well and was giving the winner many pounds. Didn't fancy him as I thought the trip would stretch him. His ol foe big shoe was 4lb better and I fancied him to run well but was brought down by the loose horse. Hey no. All. Huge bet on derby tomorrow. I mean HUGE @11/10. Had to do it with bet365/paddy and lad. Wouldn't take anymore than £1500 each
I had Balthazar King E/W not nig enough stakes to make it meaningful though. I had some joy at on the football recently as results have been quite favourable. Schalke let me down for £1700 on Saturday though the **********
Waiting for the decent races. Miss france is a horse I like and am currently stake building for her 1000 guineas run in May. Football bets have been pretty poor although came close on a few accas recently. Norwich ( had draw ) and blackpool (draw also ) let me down for £6 k Saturday £80 six fold take was £215 at it highest ( pool 2 down :( ) so got greedy in the hope of a turn around. Anyone have any joy on national.? A decent winner ran well
Montys guide to backing winners. Hardback in bad condition. Several careless owners . Offers in excess of a new shirt to replace one lost over the weekend . Misty glad you had a good day. Handicaps = nightmare. Lol
