Morning all,
Always pleased to hear folk making good profits and for the most part, enjoy reading the experiences folk have had with this share. For my part, sold my last tranche yesterday at £1.59 and 3 other tranches in the past week between £152 - 1.57. Also done some day, 2/3 day trading which has been very successful. I never expect to buy at the bottom or sell at the top but happy to bank some excellent profits for our ISA accounts.
It's been a really good rise in a short space of time again but as we know, this share can and does turn on a sixpence which is what makes it such a good yo - yo share and so good for trading it's price range. On balance though, decided the risk reward pointed towards selling our core holding and instead watching carefully for opportunities for day or very short term trading as don't want to get caught out. Always remind myself that a paper profit is just that and can disappear as quickly as Alfie (our Labrador) can woof down a bowl of chicken. It's not a profit until I press the sell button and bank profits.
For those still holding, I wish you the very best of luck and for existing holders who have had to wait a long time for the price to recover, may you soon be in a position where you are also showing a profit.
Good luck everyone,
saurus
Saurus,
Very humble and polite.. The LLOY ‘s board could do with some of that
My error ..... typed this late last night to send this morning so yesterday = Tuesday not Wednesday.
Still, just about to have a sausage sandwich ....
Good Evening LeeRex,
Thank you for your kind words. Sold my Lloyds shares sometime ago. Looked in on the Lloyds board a few times but it's not for me.
Good luck,
saurus
Saurus, always a pleasure to read your posts. I hope Alfie is on the mend? I’ll undertake my media searches to see if I can find anything new to share and post but Barclays news appears a little thin on the ground at the moment.
Good Luck my Friend
Evening Mr A, apologies for my late reply and thank you for your kind words. I have the highest regard for the time and effort you put into shaping this board and I'm sure most posters would agree your stewardship has helped to create a friendly, informative and positive board where for the most part views are exchanged in a respectful way. Yes, we get the occasional troll but one off trolling tends to get ignored and the more persistent dealt with politely which usually has better results as it doesn't provide 'the rise' that's desired.
Alfie underwent further investigations via anaesthesia last week that show he has an enlarged heart but nothing to explain his gastric problems. He's seeing a Cardiologist next Thursday to have a detailed heart scan and a Gastric specialist the week after. Hopefully things will improve once we have a clearer understanding what the problem is.
We've both ridden the Barclay wave and done very well from it my friend as have many others on this board. I do feel for long term holders though who have waited a long time for this share price to recover. So, I really hope they are able to make some profit as well. I'm out now but bought and sold 8 tranches in the past week which I wasn't really expecting but felt on balance the opportunity was there so took it.
A few months ago I took out a subscription with Stockopedia for it's research, share information and tools but haven't had a chance yet to look at the site in more detail. Hopefully, when I have more time I'll be able to post some of it's articles.
All the best my friend,
saurus
saurus,
My greatest respect to you always. I try to post media articles I think are relevant to this share, even if I don’t necessarily agree with the content. I appreciate that there are more readers on here than posters but it is very encouraging to me of late to see some new names appear. Long may that continue. Whilst not consciously trying to be a referee on this is board, unconsciously i suspect I have become a custodian? I try my best to avoid disruptors, but will nip in the bud or challenge the odd troll if necessary.
I hope you get some answers to your questions with Alfie tomorrow and all goes as well as it can. Yes, we have both made a few shillings over the last 12 months and I genuinely wis( all investors a prosperous return on their stake.
Do you have a short term entry target? I’m currently in the Swing trading camp but on the basis the share price is not shouting at me at it’s short term direction of travel, I remain patient on the sidelines with a decent lump ready to place when I feel a little more certain.
Keep posting my friend and good luck.
