It's strange though, how do you go from hyping up a stock with shortly's and coming weeks etc keeping it above £2.50 for 3 whole months, then release the test and have no meaningful RNS in the entire July
Usually there's a placing or something bigger at the end of it.... but nope damp squib - just the let SP halve and say nothing about anything, although in fairness the garden path was pretty incredible
7am RNS?
Difficult to blame the Government
Last Autumn, like everyone else, they were clearly expecting an imminent release of a British test, with comments like "we are not quite there yet ' clearly following guidance from the relevant company
Can't blame them for getting fed up waiting. They have a responsibility to the country to get what is available
Still unclear wtf is going on, 6 months later
Why is everyone obsessed with the UK LFT market…. It’s clear testing will be passed over to private responsibility at the end of Q4, the testing market needed for at least 3-5 years depending on the inevitable variants… the best of anything always rises to the top. Better AVCT get the test 100% correct with a proper supply chain in place than sign big contracts that they can’t deliver because it’s rushed. 5 years of sales is way better than 12 months of sales with delays in delivery because they didn’t take the extra few months to make sure everything was 100%, some folk need to have patience and look at the bigger picture. If you want quick money I suggest you punt on Cineworld or other recovery stocks imo and leave the LTH here in peace!!!
Gla
They won’t pay for them because the gov is giving them free. It’s a closed market at the moment.
Hard to know how this will pan out once they stop giving free ones out.
Could be a blessing to Avacta to end free LFT tests
I think initially some companies may take a fairly relaxed view about testing but once they experience whole offices/ buildings unoccupied because people are off sick their views will change.
Agree that we not one trick pony N but sadly realised today that workplace testing unlikely to create much demand for us. If my work anything to go by anyway. They simply say that they strongly recommend staff take 2 x LFTs per week and then say they are available online or via local pharmacy ie the govt contract. Probably the way most will go.
Just go Nellie

Ignore the noise . Avacta will do what is necessary if & when required .
Q20: Is Avacta looking to expand its clinical data sets beyond those already announced?
Answer : "We are carrying out additional validation studies to build larger data sets and strengthen the statistical analysis."
Excellent clinical results from the 200 samples already in public domain no reason to think additional data results will be any different .
Achieved ISO 13485 certification, CE marking & MHRA has confirmed registration of Avacta’s AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test allowing the Company to place the product on the market in the UK for professional use.
Plus look at the product features & benefits - best in class - Demand will outstrip supply

Agree Energy. I think they messed up with hiring these.
They went overboard, it’s so obvious. Hardly subtle deramping. Like a broken clock. .
Think most of the real LTH are immune to it. Certainly don’t sway me from my shares, and many here experienced vaccinegate to be bothered or influenced by these crooks.
The beauty of this share and limited risk was that we are not a one trick pony. Miss the LFT? No worries, we got a huge cancer pipeline to progress which will add more value long term and the LFT.
Goes on and on

With the growth of social media, their number and level of influence have only grown. There is very little anyone can do, to decipher someone else’s motives or who’s putting bread on their table — so the best way to deal with these posters is to be mindful of their patterns and keeping an eye if a particular chat room patron is grinding his/her axe a bit too much against one specific company or individual.
Bloody hell Ndn… he’s said he’s doing another study… he’s already progressing this… he wants the S/s to be better.
The gov changed the goalposts after we completed CV.. so maybe a larger study is needed for the UK gov.
You claiming it’s your idea now and that he’s listening you to whine on this BB?
I would love the UK gov to buy, will they in likelihood? Probably not.
Are Spain, France, Germany, rest of EU more likely to buy based on CV study numbers and validation completed in Spain? Incredibly more likely.
Think he’s done with PHE and probably done with pushing the UK space and moving on.
Good riddance in my eyes now, sell to everyone else.
It's ongoing Q8

But you know that....
And if it is listed in Berlin or Amsterdam it may have to issue an equivalent of RNS to advise its investors that despite being involved with the German government at a high level it will not benefit from a supply contract.
No, I would want to verify the claims . In the ODX presentation their CEO mentioned something along the lines that, when securing deals for the Visitect test, customers were looking to perform studies to prove superiority to their current procured tests. If I recall the tone it suggested a more lengthy process to secure deals. I imagine this is where Avacta is at right now.
But has that small German company kept secret it won't get a German government order?
There is an German LFD from a company you’re not invested in. CE marked from a small CV of a couple of hundred. Claims a sens and spec of 100% to Ct27. Has failed to pass the German government requirements and subsequently the German government will not be placing any orders. You’re a buyer looking for a million a month. Do you place an order?
