Strange it's difficult to buy as the MM's are awash with 905810 shares?
Drop in recent days was almost certainly caused by the distressed fund City Financial offloading their holdings.
Looking at the large sells from last 2 trading days (305,810, 500,000, 100,000) adds up to 905,810, which is exactly what City Financial held as of the last reported accounts.
Very difficult to buy this morning but I managed to grab a few thousand
Having a blue start today, well thats a relief, something shady going o in the background, at least there are some buys
two substantial trades today.not sure if they were buys or sells.
Yep sitting on heavy losses here so not worth getting out, i am in till the end game whatever that might be
6p is my average for aso and in my view i'll be extremely lucky if i ever break even at some point.chose not to bail out and take a massive loss as i don't need the money but wouldn't put another penny in here.just my opinion.
I bought at 6p (old money) in 2016 and sold at huge loss at £1.52 end of last year. Now at £1.16 wondering whether to get back in if this is near the bottom. But calling the bottom has been wrong so many times with this share. I think I will just watch. Good luck to those still in.
Somebody stepped in and bought 100,000 shares at 113p yesterday.
Given that the recent SP drop has been on tiny valuations, I'm hoping that means that we have now found a firm floor.
hunch to explain drop is there's a placing on the cards.
This stinks, no trades, gold price up and we are still going down
Aureus was bust, MNG saved it and although changed the name and diluted the shares kept some value for the existing shareholders.
MNG from what I’ve read offer finance at competitive rates, and offer a wealth of experience.
Making money now but share keeps dropping??
Not worth selling, but already over exposed to not buy more!
Good day today ONLY down 2p !
mr mng has no interest in private investors and the lower the sp goes the chance of some sort of buyout increases.back in jan had 20k of funds and was contemplating averaging down,thank fook i didnt.i too wish i'd never read anything bout aureus mining,was too good to be true.
Thanx for all the constructive guessing, nothing concrete, got a gut feeling something is wrong here, but what?
Someone asking if nobody reads RNSs anymore. I do and this is what it said....Full Year 2018 Operational Highlights:
· 2018 gold production of 220,458 ounces, in line with guidance for the year from the New Liberty Gold Mine in Liberia ("New Liberty") and Youga Gold Mine in Burkina Faso ("Youga"); and
· Consolidated operating cash costs of US$774 per ounce sold1 and all-in sustaining costs ("AISC") of US$1,043 per ounce sold1;
Full Year 2018 Financial Highlights:
· Company revenues of US$282.8 million, an increase of 189% year on year ("YoY"), driven by gold sales of 220,998 ounces, a 186% increase YoY at an average realised gold price of US$1,275 per ounce, a 1% increase YoY;
· Company EBITDA of US$77.5 million, an increase of 348% YoY and EBITDA margin of 27%1;
· Cash flow generated from operations of US$73.1 million in 2018, a 571% increase YoY;
· Total capital expenditure of US$44.7 million, including US$6.5 million exploration expenditure and US$23.2 million on additional heavy mining equipment and US$15 million on capitalised waste stripping; and
· Gross Debt of US$127.0million, a reduction of 5% YoY.
so much for all the good news over last year or so.something seriously wrong with this to be getting hammered so heavily by the market.sitting on an 80% loss atm and counting.
February since the last up day. Nothing but continuous freefall since. Extremely alarming as there isn't even notable volume to cause the drop - just a never-ending cycle of market maker markdowns and ZERO buyer interest to step in at lower prices. Daily RSI of 4 looks like a historic low for this. Has to be something seriously adverse going on behind the scenes for MMs to be punishing it to these extremes.
do you mean the bend at the end of the tollet where our money is being flushed away
Just have to wait until the bend at the end. No idea where that will be.
Looks like we will be going down again, this is ridiculous
Agree with your two points. Possibly add that the first quarter production update is due soon and some information may have leaked.
I can only think of two possibilities for the SP taking a dive like this:
1. The market is really concerned about the security situation in Burkina Faso (as posted before); or
2. The market has sensed that Avesoro is about to make an all-paper takeover offer for another gold miner (as hinted at previously), and is therefore dragging the share price lower in anticipation.
Any other ideas out there?
can anyone shed any light on what is happening here?only thing i can find is reports about civil unrest in burkina faso.
Here we go again, downward trend, at this rate will be a £1 soon, why??
