Hi Matt007
Im well in the red too, first bought at 280 and averaged down to 242 and got everything in argo. When I look at my share account instead of looking at how much im down im now looking at whats left and thinking thats still quite a chunk :-) am really confident it will come good. Stay positive
Have a good weekend all
Agree fruitsnveg, this share is going through the routine ups and downs of shares.
I forecast in a few years time ARB will be north of £25 and folks will remember the very low pricing currently. I forecast that by Christmas the share price will be over £5. Invest for the longer term and you will generally do very well.
If you look at where some of the likes of the big bank Wall St executives are going, it's into the crypto space. They are joining the likes of Galaxy Digital (who just hired ex-Goldman exec as their Chairman). They do not need convincing, they see what the market will be in 5-10 years time. Moreover they know how much wealth will flow in. They are not risking their careers for nothing. Everything takes time to crystalize. In a few years we will look back and remember being at the beginning of something huge. And my belief is that Argo will be part of that. GLA.
At times like these some perspective is required. I was in hydrogen stocks for 6 years and btmfd for about 2 years whilst sitting on 70% losses. I remortgaged the house and bought on a credit card. My purchases in the darkest hours were to be the most profitable. I kept the faith and from 6 years of opening an ISA it had over 6 figures in it...and then I put 100% of that profit into BTC miners. Patience will pay off again.
As PW said, this should be measured in Quarters and Years (not Days and Weeks).
For me, I expect this to be up 10%+ by the end of the month. Yea, that's a rubbish expectation but many people would think that's amazing for 1 years growth! To be honest, I hope for 50%+ by the end of the month. That said, this is share investing not altcoin gambling! Its meant to be about company growth not daily SP movements and that takes time.
What I have learnt is that family and friend are more important than the SP and if your not happy, money won't change a thing.
Chill, its all going to workout in the end.
SABY16. My situation virtually matches yours. Average price paid, 'Loss' size. The only difference is that I haven't told my Mrs! You clearly have more bottle than me!!
Matt007. I really feel for you. I have no intention in crystallising my loss either. ARB has ALWAYS bounced back to reach new highs after a substantial dip. With all of the good news coming I remain confident ARB will retest the highs in the coming months.
It's not so much sentiment that is needed, it's sufficient confidence that bitcoin is going to hold strong for the long term. I think the talk of institutions all rushing in led to an expectation of the bitcoin price smashing through $100k fast as lightning but it hasn't happened. If/once it happens Arb will be valued signficantly higher.
To make huge returns from here two things are needed. i) Time, at least four to six months and ii) Bitcoin continuing to rise towards gold's 10 trillion market cap and becoming widely accepted as the new 'digital gold'.
Matt I was in the same position I bought at 120 it fell to 65 , I held and it turned around , it will turn again just as quick mate , I sold with a profit in the end , then bought back in at 248 203 180 so iam underwater , but I know I will get it all back plus profit gl mate
Matt
I feel your pain I avg 233p and about 35k loss and that is after I was selling some before the "crash " and was able to avarage down.
It will take more just the sentiment to push thus forwards.
Great March number and hight Bitcoin didn't help.
Let's be honest we were hoping for a at least to be in the green after all this good news and it did tnot happened. I for one absolutely gutted.
Also had a very " unpleasant " talk with the Mrs she was hoping for a new BMW by May :)
I told her you can have a KIA at best :))))
Now so deep in the red, can’t bare to look at my trading account today but circa 150k down. I’m
not selling as that would crystallise the loss. I do however have faith that we are at or near the bottom and brighter days are coming. It’s very hard at the moment to stay positive but I’m trying to keep a glass half full head on! Atb, let’s hope for a much better week next week.
