For anyone left wondering what is Bitcoin Cash Coin Market Cap is a good place to check sp and links to other data.
The one year chart is worth a look;

Has anyone got a clearer 8 year retirement investment plan in Crypto, buy a few BCH and wait for the next two halvings to play out ?
Not financial advice ;-)
Marapool, a Bitcoin mining pool, has recently mined several blocks that exceed 3 megabytes (MB) in size. Here are some key points to consider:
Block Size and Transactions:
Bitcoin blocks contain transactions, and their size determines how many transactions can be included in a single block.
Larger blocks can accommodate more transactions, potentially improving network scalability and reducing congestion.
Historical Context:
Traditionally, Bitcoin blocks had a maximum size limit of 1 megabyte (MB).
This limit was implemented to ensure network stability and prevent malicious actors from spamming the blockchain with large blocks.
However, as Bitcoin adoption grew, debates arose regarding the need to increase the block size to handle higher transaction volumes.
In 2017, a contentious debate led to the creation of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), a fork of Bitcoin that increased the block size to 8 MB.
Bitcoin itself did not adopt such a significant increase but implemented Segregated Witness (SegWit), a soft fork that allowed more transactions to fit within the 1 MB block limit by optimizing transaction data.
Despite these developments, some still advocate for larger block sizes to enhance scalability.
Marapool’s Blocks:
Marapool’s recent mining behavior, with blocks exceeding 3 MB, indicates a departure from the traditional 1 MB limit.
It suggests that Marapool is actively participating in the ongoing discussion about block size and scalability.
Larger blocks can accommodate more transactions, potentially reducing transaction fees and improving overall network efficiency.
However, it’s essential to monitor the impact of larger blocks on network performance and decentralization.
Community Perspectives:
The Bitcoin community remains divided on the issue of block size.
Some argue that larger blocks are necessary for scalability, while others emphasize the importance of maintaining decentralization and security.
Marapool’s actions contribute to this ongoing debate and highlight the need for thoughtful solutions that balance scalability, security, and decentralization.
In summary, Marapool’s mining of larger blocks reflects the ongoing evolution of Bitcoin’s scalability solutions and invites further discussion within the crypto community. 🚀
Bcash halving complete, sp dropped into halving and is seeing some recovery.
It is currently 91% more profitable to mine BTC and the hash rate on BCH dropped significantly. As the 'other' Bitcoins half it will be interesting to see if miners switch around to seek out profit.

Hijacking Bitcoin: The Hidden History of BTC Paperback – April 5, 2024 (temporarily sold out)

The truth is that anyone could copy the code of an open source protocol, modify a few parts and make a new coin with the features that they deem important. Perhaps via features/influence/advertising it gains traction and gains a value. But is it likely to compete with Bitcoin's massive advantages in size and adoption? There are tradeoffs in any crypto, and perhaps Bitcoin has strayed from the original concept of peer to peer payments and become a global value store/financial product. But I'll be honest - although I appreciate the altruism of the design and the concept of redistributing wealth, I'm really here hoping that I'm a recipient of the redistributed wealth.
Saying BCH has the same genesis block as bitcoin is misleading mate, when it was created out of thin air in 2017 by forking bitcoin they were simply cloning the existing blockchain history up to that point, including first block, before tweaking the code and giving it a new name.
Some more good news on the Craig Wright front
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/legal/judge-imposes-worldwide-asset-freeze-on-fake-satoshi-craig-wright
Agreed, most people don't care or have any idea that BCH shares the same genesis block as BTC and the same 21M coins and halving cycles...
There could be an awakening to the possible upside of a Bitcoin that is essentially the same as BTC but trades at $600 rather than $66,000.
The Hijacking Bitcoin book may be a catalyst..
IF BCH sees a massive pump, say 10X which is possible with a $12B MCAP the market would take notice.
The miners will be trying to stay alive after the halvings and perhaps BCH is where they find a life raft IF BTC doesn't rise as much as needed or expected.
It might also be easy for a few BTC Whales to decide to pump BCH and shake up the Bitcoins narrative and worth keeping an eye on imo
We are entering an interesting period for Bitcoins for sure
Ds, most don't care about block sizes and will see it as just another alt coin. Most are here for financial reasons, and btc is the main attraction. Perhaps it is VHS and bch is betamax, but the people don't really care as long as it works

Bitcoin Cash halving today, it's pumped 6X into its halving and nobody is talking about it on the Bitcoin YouTube channels ...
The BTC influencers don't want open discussion about Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash, the reasons why should be obvious.

Only one other Bitcoin Cash holder on here by the looks of my last post, slightly disappointed there are not more but with the amount of BTC NLP propaganda I suppose it's not that surprising.
Bitcoin Cash halving in 4 days... Up 600% in one year
Can I ask for a show of hands by way of likes of how many people hold BCH ?
Just out of curiosity ;-)
I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about a hedge fund shorting Bitcoin Cash and going bust in the following few weeks or months.
Just putting that out there
BCH has hardly any followers on StockTwits and literally nobody has mention the Amazon NEW bestseller Hijacking Bitcoin yet !
Bitcoin Cash halving in a few days but I think we are seeing something unique unfolding for BTC or more of an awakening if you will...
https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BCH.X
The miners who see the potential in mining Bitcoin Big Blockers BCH and BSV and change their strategy to be the only survivors.
They will by now be aware of the potential gains and if they haven't done so already we should expect to see some disclosures to that effect going forward.
Imo
Bitcoin Cash is up over 600% in the past year...
IF any of the public traded minersor Argo had allocated a part of their hash to BCH and used a HODL strategy on the Big Blockers (my suggestion on here some time ago) they could have taken a small risk with a potential very big upside..
I don't think any of the public miners have disclosed taking this strategy or disclosed it to the market
BCH is going for it BIG TIME
This is going to get very interesting and looks set to shake up the mining sector
Bitcoin Cash starting look like it's going to go parabolic...

This new Amazon best seller Hijacking Bitcoin (before release) is one of those 'when you see it, you can't unsee it' moments for Bitcoin.
IF 1M people read Hijacking Bitcoin or are influenced by others who are awake to the BTC deception having read the book and they decide to get out of BTC or just try to buy 10 BCH Bitcoin Cash could go parabolic..
Bitcoin miners switch from BTC to BCH and the paid BTC shills and influencers start banging the Big Block Bitcoin drum and it's going to get interesting !
Coin Dance now showing Bitcoin Cash as more profitable to mine than BTC...
https://coin.dance/
Any big spike in BCH spot price and things could get interesting if some miners switch ops.
Coinbase about to launch Bitcoin Cash futures, not sure if that makes any difference but I suppose it might allow them to suppress the sp...
