That was a grown up comment seethreeIPO!
Just so you know, I am an MD of my own private company, and a darn site wealthier because of it. I chose not to IPO our company for good reasons. I can draw what I want without being answerable to shareholders or feeling guilty about it.
Maybe one day I'll show you my car collection.
Yeah, and that’s why the closest you’ll ever come to ‘running’ a plc is wet dreams and posts on LSE. Lots of silly little boys in here tonight
Thanks Jayblu.
Wow. I hadn't realised PW had sold two large tranches. I haven't checked what percentage he has sold from his original holding but it must be pretty substantial. As Flowerpot says it didn't exactly inspire confidence especially with 2 other directors also selling ahead of NASDAQ. Not that I can blame him. It was a life changing amount of money compared to his previous life. I would have probably done the same had I run a PLC. Family before Shareholders.
Dr shlong, you’re completely right, crypto is the new dotcom, I mean the internet was a complete flop right? So now you’ve got someone to agree with you, can you go have a chat with Wilma, Barney rubble is coming over for tea and you need to move your cavey car back in to the troglodyte parking lot.
Night night sweeety pie.
I've just read through the latest boatman 'view' on argo..
I actually agree with most of it but ironically not thier view on funding, which is the bit I'm concerned with. They are trotting out the 1.5 - 2 billion for texas, which although technically accurate is misleading.
There isn't any plan for 800mw, we can do the 200mw (transformers can go to 250mw).. That 200mw us more like 250 million dollars (depending on how it gets filled). So dilution yes but not the full 800mw worth.
What I didn't realise though is that the senior note sake was a bit if a flop only raising 40million, that's actually a concern if true when set at over 8%
I'm sure you can't have a straight face while your typing :)
Still butsting ,dotcom all over again with a different name and different punters!!
POP!
No don't think anything is bursting! still 2 .2 trillion
Its not a ridiculous drop, people are starting to see there invested in thin air! It's worthless thin air.
The lockdown made alot of new investors in crypto ,but the bubble is bursting as we speak.
@MonkeyTom
"The Chuz, out of interest what’s the issue you have with carbon credits?"
Its more that I have an issue with shareholder money (we don't know how much of it) being spent to 'go green' retrospectively so we can claim we are carbon positive for the last 2 years.
I don't like the falsehood of it, but I also don't think it was value to shareholders, I don't think it served any purpose. The money would of been better spent buying some rigs.
If it makes a jot of difference or even becomes a requirement somehow then the other miners can just buy carbon credits retrospectively so it's not even a unique selling point... I know I am in the minority with that line if thinking but I just saw it as wasted money that has come directly out of my pocket, same with the swimming pool, hated that too.
The Chuz, out of interest what’s the issue you have with carbon credits?
Yep we'll never know what goes on chuz or the reasons for it.
We just have to like it or lump it, everyone has that choice to buy hold or sell up.
Is a bit tiresome people thinking how transparent everything is though
@flowerpot
"3 directors selling on the same day the day before the ATH at the end of feb , raises a few eyesbrows s"
I think it's a bit chicken and egg.. The ath was there so the directors sold.. That was a signal to the market to sell which cemented the ath and the ensuing drop.
My only real issue (other than not liking swimming pools and carbon credits) is the funding issue, other than that I think it's an OK company even if some things to look a little dodgy on the surface there's usually a good explanation for it.. Like the 5 million just sat with epic.. Seems odd but probably a sound explanation.
I would imagine there was a timeset on those shares he sold first... and if there wasn't, Im sure no one thinks he sold then because he's a good old sport ( and why should he)
3 directors selling on the same day the day before the ATH at the end of feb , raises a few eyesbrows surely.
Especially when the nasdeq was first applied for then apparently, and there was difficulties with it.
Barney, but you are missing out the 1,400,000 PW sold at 29 p, that was a large trade
Hi Jayblu. :)
'follow the money, PW gave the signal, but ignore PW also sold at 29p and recently bought at $19.'
Although that is correct, I believe PW only spent c.100k at $19, having cashed out substantially months earlier. Certainly not a large enough trade to encourage the masses to follow him in.
Excellent point Amanesia. I forgot to include BTC!! This going parabolic should also lift the SP. :)
BTC nearly back level? That just means it hasn't dropped further in the last 24 hours!
My pleasure Chaebol. Haha. We certainly did. NASDAQ was supposed to put us on the map, open us up to new institutional investment but the adage 'it's better to travel than to arrive' prevailed unfortunately.
Totally agree that Texas is what we are holding out for and of course Pluto as and when that IPO's. In both cases we have a while to wait though so I'll be checking in monthly, or maybe quarterly!!! ;) Good luck too.
BTC nearly back level, Mara up, Riot level and ARBK shafted and that's after the heavily discounted IPO. Disappointing to say the least!
Thanks Barney
Texas is the final jam act if that doesn’t budge it nothing will, but we said that about nasdaq. Said that about 60k btc……now Texas lifts it, we wil see, global exahash will be far more competitive this time next year imho
Good luck
Rams, PW effectively said this in his pawnhub video ffs……
'Rams,American investors don’t understand the adr, ie 10 for 1 split. So it looks overpriced and ultimately overlooked.
The underwriters have caused this to become an insti miner, retail America will go elsewhere.'
Have you carried out a poll for all American investors then?
