The chinese partners have invested £m's in this so you would think they will be motivated to turn things around. long term holders that have had to suffer around 10 years of one board who delivered nothing straight onto another did not deserve this shafting. cash is king so if true anr are still well backed by S-A, Wintask have a chance IF a competent board can secured along with a nomad.
740p to 16p in under 12 months, makes Teresa May's failure on Brexit yesterday look like an achievement!
I can't help but feel had he been PM then his boat would be half way across the pond by now with a sack full of cash as cargo and shipmates Zorbas and Hogan in the galley for company.
MCAMikeB that's great news , Chinese directors will attend AGM.
So all that needs to be done now is vote against resolutions 4 and 5 to re appoint Hales and Jones ( sounds like a comedy act bit like Hogan and Lyth) and to vote for the re appointment of Mr Qinfu Zhang And Mr Chi Ma.
I am positive the Aim Regulators place all shareholder requests for assistance in the shredder as that would at least be an excuse to justify why nothing ever happens.
Jono- Zhang and Ma will attend the AGM. All remaining shareholders should try attend, meet the directors and listen to their strategy for 2019.
Not even worth selling any more. Complete disaster. If only we had a regulator to complain to.
Sounds a lot different to what’s written on the Altona website.
“Corporate Overview
Altona listed on the AIM London Stock Exchange in March 2005.
It has a strong management team with many years experience in investment, mining and the energy industry globally.”
It shouldn’t but reading that made me laugh. :)
Anyone on here able to go, Friday 25th Jan.
Would be great if two Chinese directors turned up but unlikely.
Wonder if any directors will turn up!
Don' t think they will want to meet any pi's or other investors.
"Interesting times" for Mr Lyth as has been mentioned here before.
So essentially the Chinese need to have some sort of plan to take us forward with and pronto to attract a nomad. id like to hear an actual credible Nomad tell us their view on taking on the chinese because all that NL "we have to go elsewhere" jazz sounded a bit too blatantly cronyist to me. fundamentally there are good Pi's here wiling to back the right people- we have a better 10 yr track than the CEO's!!
So, we have licenses at Altona, but wet coal. So we need, a short term turnover project, a nomad, a a new plan from Qinfu that will actually work. (Chinese mines, pyrolysis, UCG whatever it is and fast)/ i see the bottom has well and truly been reached which is disgusting but there simply must be a plan.
Who do you think the "two private investors" were going to be ???
You're quite right joebop and you have been entirely consistent in your views on Altona and the gangsters running it for their own personal gain. But if we can finally see the back of them, then we're in with a chance. Once again, I refer people to Mr Zhang's statement of intent on Thursday 3rd January (1442pm).
off to the Tower and off with their heads the lot of them. Dirty bunch of lying, cheating con men and probably criminal imo. Not in a forgiving mood with the swines (giving pigs a bad name). Anyways the 1st blue buy trade @ 12p for 3800 approx this morning at 8.02am was mine. Cut my ave from 45p to 28p instantly. None for sale until whatevever happens, happens. Don't care if i lose it but would prefer some sort of intervention to kick off. Come on our Chinese friends. GLA. :o).
The company has the exploration licences. That's about it.
Nothing drilled. Nothing measured. Nothing economical.
This 7bn they refer to is just a simple area measurement. The sort of stuff you use to sell to people who don't know any better.
Look at the sp my good man.
7.8bm barrels of clean burning fuel. £200k mcap. PMSL.
yes and we all know the current cash in bank position! we are keeping an eye out here for when you move off
Indeed, got around £5K for them.
Does anyone know what he paid? If he did actually own them?
The SP was 10 times higher when he apparently bought?
not anymore guzzler
I'm going on what it says regarding point (5) in the RNS
He is saying he has shifted 186000 shares over 2 days this week.
What is left is 17000, which happens to be the amount Robert Hales, Hogans NED holds.
https://twitter.com/ShareProphets/status/1085455258380161025
So he is now below 3%.
He had 13.8%?
Was it possible to offload over 10% of the company yesterday?
Is it worth checking?
Lyth, Hogan, Hales and Zorbas scrambling for the lifeboats. What lifeboats? Goodbye and good riddance.
We've now got a reasonable chance of getting this company on its feet again. Hard work going on behind the scenes.
Yes Possibly - but DYOR
IvestingGenius I am not in denial at all lol. Nick Lythe isn't Chinese nor are all the other board members do you not think it might be because of them they couldn't get a Nomad. I hope for all holders here that the Chines can manage to get someone decent on the bod and turn this mess around.
from Leon with those sells.....
Bombed out stock? Any chance of a dead cat bounce or is it terminal?
