33, watched that 2 nights ago. Heroic. Great film.
Jjt, shouldn't be a problem. Actual (slimmed down) design team isn't massive. Just need to compare apples with apples. Leave it with me.
Like it Tiger....
As I posted on another thread to WG this evening:
'Like everything I hear about Moers. Apparently made it very, very clear to all that they could discuss anything they want with him, but never, ever feed him BS. If there's a problem, then flag it and fix it. Ignoring a problem is a court martial offence....'
As much as people want a quick F.........k..............

As former supervisor of Technical Quality Control in the Dagenham assembly plant, I can tell you that quality in the hands and conscience of the operator fitting the parts. The need for inspectors is minimal if you have that mindset in the workforce. Of course you have to give the operator good quality parts that fit. I was deeply involved in the transition to removing inspectors from the production line and giving the operator the responsibility, if he fails to fit the part correctly he marks the traveller card and the repairman rectifies the fault at the end of the section. You can do away with inspectors (turn them into operators), cost saving, and giving the operator responsibility and pride in the job.
33, an interesting description....
He'll ramp up, but when he's sure everything is 100%. The German way....good in the long term.
Might also lead to a black market in production slots, that would be a first for a 'production' AML car.
Warranty issues can cost so much...the downside so many never account for
Prudent move to balance production against.
Or just makes bottom line worse and they can't afford such neglect.
33, they have potential to increase capacity at St Athans, but Moers won't do that until initial quality is proven. If there are very few warranty niggles reported, he'll ramp up.
Not sure of details, but there have been recent changes in quality control personnel, Moers brought in some new blood, Will keep digging on that one.
Thought that myself 33. That must be why they have sent their best team to wales in anticipation of this. Best way to be though. Knowing as soon as you have one made you are selling it at a premium rather than giving discounts on over produced cars
Wg. Know your not a ramper and say it how you see it do fills me with confidence. I’m not a real gambler and have all my savings in this so your backing up my own feelings but comforting to know that knowledgeable folk feel the same.
WG, totally agree, the more I see and hear about this team, the higher I keep putting the bar. This is a long term hold for me.
They seem to me to be so confident in the product they don’t seem to be thinking about pandering to invest eaters insecurities. Why should they. They have important work to do and the future sales figures will do all the talking.
Nicky, they don't have to release the DBX numbers, but I think that'll form the basis of Moer's first communication.
I hear they're celebrating, the sales rate is well beyond expectation. Sales conversion rate is very high and enquiries shot up after press embargo lifted. Going to be 12 month+ delivery time already.
No idea on RNS timing, but I'd say next week, give them a chance to get a full week's sales in after press releases.
Thanks for that cc. Good to know someone who has been in the game a while thinks this has legs. I’m just holding but with what some have been saying has made me uneasy. Missed opportunity to get out and buy back before. Do they have to release dbx numbers?
I am happy to tell my strategy. I am holding until £1.50 then putting a stop loss at £1.40 for half of my shares and then sit back for a few years and see what happens.
Let’s hope so! The news should accelerate our progress north.
I’ve been thinking Monday morning would be a good time for an RNS from him. Not too soon that he hasn’t had a good poke around and assessed the situation from the inside, but at the same time with things happening quickly on the DBX front now, the market will want to know numbers. Stroll has obviously held off releasing any information to allow Moers to do so and a couple of weeks in would be a good time in my opinion.
Anyone got any insight as to when we might get DBX numbers or when Moers delivers his vision for AML?
