Then have the project companies put back under the umbrella of the new ltd company so that they cant be attacted by hostile takeovers without buying the ltd company
Wouldnt bondholders rather have a stake in a 60 year return rather potentialy getting nothing back on their investment. If the sale goes threw for penuts they and us will get nothing so its food for thought
Aproach the bondholders and ask them their thoughts as they have some leaverage as they are owed money and therefore can bargain with a.m over the stake in a.m if their only going to get 50% back under their insurance if the money they will loose if a.m cant cover their money in the sale
Still not clear what you're saying....?
Plus if we raised the money threw a backer i.e a bank or partner to pay the dept that s.i.s.g holds on the project companies we as shareholders will own them and the fisical assets under a new ltd company
Guys forgive me if i sound like a complete lunatic but as they are trying to buy our shares in the project companies for nothing couldnt we find a backer and a project manager and buy our share in the project companies from a.m with a ltd company that would cost penuts to buy set up on the shelf if our solisitor can block the auction. Ft would rather sell to anyone than s.i.s.g even for a pound lol the last part was a joke
And caving in contacts at shandong and gibril :)
Lammy and greening caving in the hours from shandong and gibril.
http://www.thesierraleonetelegraph.com/?p=9029&cpage=1 What a superb article and reaffirms we were stitched up like a kipper. Our best hope is to chase Timis the mobster. Please send this report to the institutions we have been informing over the last few months. I have just sent this to Deloitte
Feeling sorry for myself for being sucked in to this s--t investment but my genuine sorrow is for the average Sierra Leonnie. 3 relatives of mine who worked there, for AMI 2/3 years ago say they are a really nice, very appreciative people who have been through hell in the past and now have bug--er all. It is them who are really getting ripped off through gov corruption. international investment is needed but where does it go? Government coffers? Officials pockets/ But not to where it is intended, the real people of Sierra Leone. The more I read into this country the more I realise the average person needs so much more support but how do they get it without the gov taking a very big Lions share. While I feel very sorry for them I will not invest or give any aid to that country until something is done about the rife corruption. Sorry Sierra Leone. Help your people they deserve it.
Excellent article! Congrats to whoever sent the details to the Telegraph. Would have done myself but am not articulate enough by any means. Thought they would print on those lines from previous articles I have seen. Great!
not to give help or fund to SL as the country leaders are very corrupt.
...I think we all know that we could be on a 'hiding to nothing' here and out-manoeuvred by our opponents. They might have craftily positioned everything but the shell of AML outside UK jurisdiction, but until we hear from our legal team, this is purely speculation. We need a bit of luck and so far that has all gone to FT GOSL and the Chinese. Things can turn around though and I am convinced all is not lost.....yet !
I'm concerned that all of the corruption and illegal manipulation may have taken place offshore in SL and therefore beyond the reach of the UK legal jurisdiction. Of course we can still go after FT, if he has any assets or money in the UK, which he may not. I have wondered for some time if FT may be in over his head here, perhaps he has been out-maneouvered and out-corrupted by the masters i.e. the Chinese and the SL Government.
...indictment of the destruction of AMI by the BOD, Chinese and GOSL. The plus side is that the whole story is now out in the open and will probably create more media interest now that Koroma is seen to be so heavily involved. The arrogance of Frank Timis and the rest of the board is almost beyond belief. Their attitude is simply one of 'screw the shareholders, we have our own agenda and nothing is getting our the way'. Once we have our legal team on board I will be fascinated to hear their opinions - ie. have the conspiritors done such a good job that they have covered every legal angle or have there been huge mistakes made in their single-minded quest for ownership and control of the assets......
"Are we keeping copies?" Gazza, I am keeping copies of some reports on my computer, but I haven't got all of them. These may come in useful at some point in the future. I think this one needs to be sent to the Government's business dept.
Yes I do but only in middle management. I have asked if there was any info he could share but this scam happened at the top level of management and gov.
sorry, meant to say AML.
We should lobby the FCO to warn against investing in SL, and also London Stock Exchange to put stringent rules for companies that operate in lawless countries such as SL. I feel this will exert pressure on the Gov of SL and they might in turn try and get Shandong to settle with shareholders. SL gov will not like to loose out on all the aid the get from the UK as most of it goes into politicians accounts.
Sounds like they do what they like. Going to be a long battle jeeze
Looks like we will need more than a solicitor. Nothing short of uk Government intervention maybe
It seems we have a mameth legal task ahead of us even though the sl gov are more or less saying we have no rights.
Are we keeping copies?
Gracious me! Another Mobuto and Gbadolite in the making. (Only this time no Concorde!)
