AGM have a very large management team. it appears to me that many roles could be consolidated in sales and marketing under one manager/director, and the same could be said for technical management. Much streamlining required.
AGM always looked to me to have the best product in the Graphene sector, so it's really a shame to see it on the ropes.
I've been saying this for ages. I even said the same to the CEO, who got all flustered and defensive. Snouts in the trough, all the way down the line. Was never a business and I've learned my lesson from investing. A total shambles, as today proves.
Wouldn't be in any rush, a big risk with plenty of room to fall further.
I was tempted to invested today, but not enough volume.
Blimey despite all the negativity yet the SP is holding firm above 6p. Lots of buys at this level. It might be down but it’s not out.
Difficult to see a way out for AGM, and sadly it looks like a complete write off.
From whom are they likely to secure funds in the next ten weeks or so? Clearly ii's were unimpressed with any potential future revenue. Coatings and additives always looked to have so much potential, but it appears by sales figures that wider industry is not convinced.
This company is a total bunch of crooks Forever lined their own pockets for years at the expense of the poor investors...Winding up soon I expect.
£25 mill + spaffed to date with last income posted 30-40 k ? doesn't matter what else might be on the runway anymore. the vultures are circling the markets and any cash rich entities are gonna just wait it out. getting one of these announcements on my portfolio every week now. Supposedly great IP but ‘absolute gar nichts’ in terms of business accumen. DCTA , HAYD and even VRS have made a better fist of it although even they may not ride this deepening period out.
It was December 2013 when I bought at 458p per share. The last rites were read sometime ago; yet there was still a glimmer of hope, until today. Our BOD maybe good scientists but clearly without business acumem. Time to say goodbye, sell up and spend the proceeds on a cup of coffee (and maybe a biscuit if the proceeds will stretch that far).
@Pokerchips - how much do you think they might be sold for? What would be fair value?
They need £4m a year to soak up the running costs.
The company needs to be sold and absorbed into one of the bigger players who could take the IP further and reduce the Admin costs
The IP clearly has value and it would be a shame if that ended up say with the Chinese
If this lot cant get a placing away(regardless of what discount they were offering) then 75% of the rest of AIM is banjaxed. Sounds like they have 8 weeks to find a miracle. Surprised they haven't suspended it to be honest.
A very pessimistic statement.
What does 25% spread tell the shareholders?
I bought some of these at 41p last year in a primary bid placing. Fortunately it was very scaled back. The price at the time was 56p. What has the bod done since then? Nothing much. Just used as a lifestyle company imo. Time for the next placing soon at 6p. I guess. Written this off.
Maybe a joint venture with someone like Haydale?
A strange share this.... Every time a positive RNS or so it seems we get a red day!!! Fingers in the pie me thinks from our directors! A well known car brand signs a deal does it? Who is it then? matchbox?
It's no good being academic, a techie or scientific if you business goes down the pan.
They don't need a new CEO specifically they need to get real and employ people who can show them how to make a good idea into a profitable business. They must realise this however head in the clouds they are, yet they aren't doing anything about it.
I know I should sell out and have been feeling it all along, yet here I am, a bit like them useless lot, we are a good team!
" These guys are academics, scientists and techies. There is no discernible business savvy on display here"
yes, true but they have developed some valuable IP , ..it seems time they looked for a joint venture and collectively shared marketing and sales to then grow commercially and reach a wider audience ....get a new Commercial orientated CEO, now that the technical developed and been worked on ... the problem is the industrial market clients are slow to take these products on... expanding into US markets would need a partner and plenty of new cash I imagine
I was in at 249p ages ago. I have challenged the board several times about their lack of commercial acumen and can honestly say I have never met a more head-in-the-cloud attitude to business. These guys are academics, scientists and techies. There is no discernible business savvy on display here. I bailed after years of drip drip drip.. Good luck to whoever is daft enough to still be here.
Despite many reservations about this company and posting them, I am still here. I looked at this interview, was dissapointed in the questioning, saw nothing encouraging either. I admit I never watched it all only the latter stages, but felt most of all before was telling us how graphene could be used and how it was better used as dispersed. So for me nothing about how money might be made and nothing clearly has been made. When I ran and in my opinion anyone runs a business those are the most important things. Okay you can't go wild and give away your game and idea's but come on 12 years on where is it going? I am gloomily hanging on in hope, but know this is not a proper strategy.
Depends if they are expecting to release some good news ...before....any fund raise....news which new investors would need to get them on board....
Well with present share price, it's about parity with the company valuation. So a cash raise without some decent news would be horrific for existing holders.
" up to $10 million" .......the $10m ( £8.4m) figure has got some sellers to throw in the towel on strong dilution fears
They raised £6m in 2021 had £4.2 million cash as at 31 January 2022, with a H1 loss of £1.7m ... so maybe they are looking at another $7m (£5-6m)
I only have a pretty small holding so will hold ..... they are ready to sell..all about whether their A1 clients are ready to buy .....that has been the problem.... need to get one key client to get the ball rolling
