about the suspension, since AFE was once "our" company and MP's too..GLA
Historically, few companies have gone on to reach their previous highs after relisting their shares. Anybody any idea how soon this will happen? Weeks or months?
There's still life in the old dog....re-listing shortly.

Well there might be some life left in this, had already written this off..
Nice one Wolfie good on you fella maybe there is some life left in there after all - that sounds a pretty genuine reply to me so let's see what happens - because to be honest I had this labelled as African dodo after that last RNS
Well atleast they replied to someone
For those invested or still following AFE, the email below may be of interest. It is from AFE's finance director, Robert Mc Learon, in response to my request for information on what is happening with the company. Dear XXXX I recall your email and it’s a matter of some frustration for me personally that we have not been able to publicly announce positive progress since then. As you will no doubt be aware I cannot selectively brief shareholders with price sensitive information (whether suspended or not) and can therefore only talk in generalities. However, the appointment of Kola Karim and Nick Clarke as directors in May, their respective shareholdings and their financial backing for the company whilst we seek to implement the investing policy all point towards a brighter future and as the most recent RNS stated, we are actively working towards implementing that policy. I certainly hope that is sooner rather than later. We are seeking to build an African focused resources company which, with Kola and Nick’s undoubted entrepreneurial abilities I am hopeful of achieving and work continues to achieve that ultimate aim. Kind regards, Robert
going on here, those who need to recover some losses may like to take a look at MXO. So much hype, but please read the RNS's first. All that you read is factual and no messing. The share is reliable, you can ask BigGib who seems to be the most knowledgeable as well as a few others. Check it out as this one seems to be one of the most talked about on the AIM as it involves Mexico and the tyransformation of their Oil business allowing new Outside Ventures to bring in fresh technology to help increase depleting reserves. Licences will be granted to the top bidders worth hundred of Millions, PLUS there's 52BILLION Barrel for the taking. The new Black Gold Rush is on! GL to anyone who has a punt, currently a good entry point at the moment. Cheers! Photo.
What we do know- is that the original value of Dutwa and the other minor assets that AFE held were worth far more than what they actually got for them that's for sure but as we all know they were on their knees and had almost hob sons choice but to go along with the offer resulting in us holding 10pc in the guise of black down minerals under the bigger umbrella of black down resources - I'm not entirely sure and not now entirely bothered as it's far too late in the day for all that but from I have gathered NC will ultimately still have a major interest in Dutwa even if AFE goes pop via his interests in some of those other companies mentioned - so it would seem its not all bad for him is it - as the asset is still potentially worth a lot of wonga and it's still there - it hasn't gone anywhere - but unfortunately if the inevitable does happen - then it's a fair bet that any pi's of AFE won't see any of it unless they do pull a deal out of the hat - the offer of a working capital loan to see them thru as noble a gesture as it was - hardly inspires me to think any form of investing deal will happen soon - but let's hope I'm totally and utterly wrong - GLA
Looking bad. Although if NC and KK have invested there must be something behind it. Why throw good money after bad if they're was no grand plan?
Yep bailed out also with some loss but hope salvaged money will in new investment soon cover loses and also be a bit of profit
If it delists and relists in another countrys Stock Market, (like MATRA), you will get a certificate with details as to who will handle the selling of your shares. If they have no money, a CVA may be likely and if they can't meet the arrangements of the CVA, they will become Bankrupt and nobody gets anything back. 100% Loss. :((( I always wondered how they survive on 'Fresh Air'.
If it delists or shares gets cancelled how do we shareholders get our moneyback?
Perhaps AFE will delist? Nothing's been happening since I bailed over 3 years ago......of which I actually came out with a moderate profit. I have kept a watchful eye on this one just to see what happens, and as yet Sweet Fanny Adams. Dutwa was the biggy but it seems to take forever.
Great just great
If you had read coca kola karims management statement about 6 weeks ago you might have believed that things might just be turning round despite the impending 12 mth time period to actually invest in something running down not that there had been any mention of that publicly one would add - but somehow I always feared the worst as I hadn't been able to truly convince myself that NC had any other intention but to get to this position from day one - I had not found anything to think p I 's interests would be safeguarded for a second and this is another sad if not totally unexpectedly bad day for the eagle
Jeez this is a really frustrating company. Hope theres some good news coming soon
Not sure what's caused this large drop in sp. There doesn't appear to be any obvious cause for this. Any thoughts?
1 x big buy today. Suspension?
W Is that at the end of july? Need some quick news here
im in oex aswell enjoy this rise.
agree with that analysis but a cautious approach has been taken that was my sell earlier 303k £ 500 loss but the OEX rise today has more than absorbed it GLA - Thanks for the input
im still on the fence to be honest because mr karim is a very highly regarded businessman he wouldnt have bought all the shares for nothing theres got to be more to it.....
Jordan -reading that and the lack of recent news seems like its time to bail with a loss and move on elsewhere. Whats your thoughts - obviously own research will be done just canvassing your opinion Cheers
