Great to see some positivity and, despite what those who want to sow the seeds of doubt want to portray, this change in sentiment can affect trading patterns and the SP of a company like AFC. Still waiting for better newsflow but there is no reason to buy the panic created by the derampers/shorters.
ABB are only interested in the best and the best is AFC
I find it telling that Frank Muehlon, global President of ABB eMobility has not engaged with/liked the Swiss project on LinkedIn yet has managed today to like Adam Bond’s post re. Urban-Air. Makes no sense for ABB to start promoting this on the “eve” of their own proprietary version. Can’t see this getting much further ABB support. I am looking forward to hearing how they market the AFC product however, with 80 countries in their realm
From the bottom of the page, this is ABB's role in the project:
"ABB Switzerland supplies the charging technology and, with this commitment, expands the know-how at the interface of hydrogen and battery electromobility."
So carry on, nothing to see here!
This is not actually an ABB project anyway. They are partners in the project, but the project is primarily for H2 Energy and AVIA Osterwalder to use up the Swiss green Hydrogen, within Switzerland. This is not even planned to go global IMVHO.

Good work Haggis. That news about Urban Air Port is super exciting. Piqued my interest back into AFC and hydrogen again. The future is coming quickly; I'm buying in a delorean now ready for conversion to an air taxi.
Mistamaze,
Ooh coming across all innocent. Pull the other one, that’s your first post out of the blue. Clear basher tactics. You won’t fool many in here. Now trot on to your next stock now you’ve been rumbled……
Toyota Fuel Cell, that means it's PEM and needs five nine's Hydrogen. It will need high pressure Hydrogen storage. So it's:
1) An expensive Fuel Cell (just look at the crazy price of the Mirai)
2) The most expensive Hydrogen
3) Expensive fuel storage
AFC can use cracked Ammonia, which does not need high pressure storage, so it's:
1) A cheap Fuel Cell
2) A cheap fuel
3) Cheap fuel storage
Truth is, ABB likely signed up to the Kvyreen pilot well before they discovered AFC, and until they integrated and tested the AFC system they wouldn't know exactly how that was going to pan out, so it's obvious they would continue with the Kvyreen pilot and compare the results against AFC's system.
Bye bye mistamaze not sure why you have suddenly appeared and from where but I for one am putting you out! Filtered!!!
Using ammonia is a competetive advantage of AFC. But providing an off-grid solution was another one. And that advantage is gone as competitors obviously also seem to be able to provide an off-grid solution. Can´t understand the hate.
“Mistamaze” - what cesspit of detritus have you appeared from all of a sudden ? Filtered!
No where near as good then. ( that’s what I want to hear)
Thanks
It'll have a PEM electrolyte membrane so different from AFC making it more expensive to manufacture and operate.
As we have no details of the system sent to ABB in Estonia .....it is very difficult to draw any comparisons or conclusions with this system from AVIA ......
Then AFC has lost its unique selling proposition of being the only available off-grid solution on the market
Yes obviously nothing to do with AFC( I read it before attaching the link). I asked if the tech was the same. It’s green hydrogen supplied by ABB. Their are some very hydrogen intelligent people here, the technical details baffle me.
Good luck all
That system uses a Toyota fuel cell ............unlikely to be AFC produced.
Testing the first kvyreen
kvyreen is a closed cube in which all the technology is integrated. A fuel cell (automotive grade, from Toyota), an inverter and a charging station (both from project partner ABB) will provide the green hydrogen for the rapid charging of battery electric vehicles.

Does look remarkably similar. Can any AFC boffins out their pick it apart.
Good luck all (let’s hope we get a move on)
That´s exactly our product or am I missing something? However, AFC isn´t mentioned in the article. H2 Energy (a Suisse company) is mentioned as the driving force behind this product.
Do you think AFC is involved?
Sounds interesting...
The driving force behind “kvyreen” is the Swiss company H2 Energy. This is a closed, mobile cube in which the entire technology is integrated. The green hydrogen is converted into electrical energy via a fuel cell, which is then made available via a converter and a charging station - both solutions from project partner ABB Switzerland - for the rapid charging of electric vehicles. In the pilot operation, the charging capacity of the system is 60 kilowatts. In the later commercial application, the system is to be operated with a charging capacity of up to 150 kilowatts per vehicle.
Premier of hydrogen powered ev charger. 60kw.
No mention of afc . Or are they going to be branded by ABB and afc just announce a sale ?
