Does anyone know where I can find the ACHL financial calendar? Can't seem to find it online, just wondering if we have any quarterly or interim announcements coming up.
Think you're right mate, things looking a lot better for us today, only about 6% down on ACHL now. Keep rising!
over 1%
we have reached a floor here. This is my second biggest holding now - for good reason. I love these undervalued stocks (although everything looks undervalued now apart from some of the miners!).
If only you were a broker...that would be the best analysis ever haha!
Even if the Chinese market is overheated, even if inflation runs a little, the Chinese sure love their oranges!
That makes sense, thanks for that! I certainly think this is one to weather and the price should go above and beyond the 90p target. Great little share this one...even if it is running a loss for me.
I think there are extra worries about Chinese inflation numbers out tomorrow.
Why this stock continues to fall defies me! The fact that it is profitable, expanding and in a lucrative emerging market makes it such a good opportunity but it wont stop tumbling!
For those who are brave enough, the market downturn must surely present a buying opportunity for a company that produces a real product. When the people of the world stop drinking orange juice, that will be the time to sell.
Full page write up in this week's Investors Chronicle saying Asian Citrus is a good long term buy and that it has been oversold. Note the director's 100,000 buy on 5 July.
Well, a target figure of 90 is certainly plausible -- it's been as high as 88.75 in any case in the last year. Then pulled down by concerns about some Chinese companies' accounting methods. But this rise and fall has happened before. A very good short term buy and an excellent long-term hold. These people produce orange juice for Marks & Spencer amongst others, after all -- some of it organic!!
seymour pierce rate this as a buy with a target of 90p...
Ive answered my own question, i.e misleading information to increase share price, but is this share now reputable and trusted ? A lot of Chinese companies are a bit suspect I am afraid.
Ive had a quick look at this but cant see why there was a massive drop in 2009, and indeed why it isnt living up to its potential. Can someone enlighten me please ?
blimey! get drinking them oranges china!
Some monster buys coming in at the end today! surely this is gonna move soon?!

Liberum Capital initiated coverage on Asian Citrus (ACHL) with a "buy" rating and a target price of 99p. The broker believes the investment case centres on the fact the China's demand for fresh oranges and fruit juice substantially exceed supply and, as the country's leading and most efficient supplier of both, the group is "strongly" positioned for sustained growth over the long-term. This is underpinned by statistics that show China's per capita consumption of fresh oranges and fruit and vegetable juices now stands at 5kg per year and 9.5 litres per year, respectively. Asian Citrus shares inched up 0.5p to 72.75p.
Liberum Capital starts covering ACHL and posts a buy recommendation with a target price of 99.00p
