I would agree, especially when the fundentials are strong. It will surely strengthen our ability to maintain the Divdend. I have had a few AIM shares where Dilution is the enemy.
i would question the role of Windfall Tax in this case. No doubting that Hurricane Energy's future is uncertain, has just reinvested a proportion of so called profit into paying off debt. i could go on but i think the prime candidates would not be struggling small companies, unlike BP etc etc.
Sam, have you thought about Direct Line? Its paying a dividend of 9% and a good chance of capital growth imo.
If Tekmar can't make money when there is so much pressure now on getting our own energy I don't think there's much hope. I will hang on in there and hope upon upon hope that I get a return. It seemed such a good bet?
I have read many of the recommendations over the years and I have digested and dmor etc. Conclusion, you may as well have stuck a pin in a dartboard blindfolded.
Where did you get the forecasts, I think its just wild wild wild guess , so many things could affect the guess especially in these unpredictable times.
Is there something in the constitution that states the new Directors cant take a stake in shares at the moment? It would give me a little more confidence if they would hold a few shares.
As far as I can tell most people applauded the new board of directors when they were appointed just a year ago, a breath of fresh air etc etc, what fundamental change has there been, is it the directors or the resources in the ground. I must explain I am a punter who hasn't closely followed this share and am slightly shocked in the change in sentiment. If you can be slightly shocked?
Gezza: Perhaps they do know.
Can anyone explain what are the the consequences of the recent RNS and does it involve any share dilution?
Chris 55, you were not being negative just cautious. Being either negative or positve wont make any difference to the share price unfortunately. GL
I am thinking about buying in here but why are the Directors Sells significantly outnumbering the Buys apart from dividends that is?
The RNS was rather bland IMO, it didnt lay any blame. The 'buys and sells' are within about normal for this share the 'spread' was above 5% last time I looked though and this equates to half the drop in share price. Im not saying Im not concerned though but Im not selling.
They were purely a precaution against tht NHS being overwhelmed. It may be be still be overwhelmed if the virus mutates in a certain way? We arent completely out of the woods yet and we shouldnt let greed dictate.
