The years lack of activity is being rewarded by a blockbuster. Wow.
Presentation on Wednesday and AGM on Thursday. The Azari's had a Byram holiday and will be back at work on Tuesday.
The rubber stamp paperwork being finished is a very remote possibility.
Demirli mine news is the Jack in the pack of cards.
It used to employ 1400 people when the crooks ran it !
I am fully loaded and awaiting news from the BoD.
Patience is the mantra here and good luck to the sellers.
ATB and GLA holders of this gem in AIM.
Not sure what it means but it is progress.
I always intend to pull out on TD approval. Made 8% profit and may well come back to AAZ when I get a better idea of their finances. Wishing all long term holders good luck. Tony
I must say I am surprised at the muted response of the share price. After yesterday's 10% fall it's only up marginally. Basically permission granted now puts the company right back on track. Yes the company has bled cash but against that gold, copper and silver prices have substantially increased so in terms of future cash flow (greater cash flows from not digging the stuff out of the ground minus extra interest payments due) may be neutral or even net positive. Added to that the company have been developing the new mines apace and you have a solid argument for a 25-50% hike in the price.
It's clearly not happened so why? Perhaps I'm being to optimistic that the minor administrative tasks remaining are more substantial than the RNS is letting on or, that Mr Market, battered by underwhelming performance of junior miners is refusing to get out of bed.
Which is it? We'll see....
Plenty more nose bleeds to come.
Yes really great news now we can get cracking.
Tailings dam raise approved, brilliant.
Charteris owned 300,000 AAZ shares and is not a distressed outfit. However, they are more interested in silver miners and could see a profit elsewhere if it was them who sold out. The company really does need a decision please on the tailings dam, like in the next week or so.
I wonder who the distressed seller was.
58.7p lowest I have ever paid for AAZ shares. Not sure why the sudden drop from 67p.
In my opinion the RNS is very positive in that it signposts a) a major company is willing to support AAZ and b) talks with the Azer government over Demirli are clearly progressing well or they’d not refer to this in an RNS or be doing deals with an important business partner that they can fulfil.
That said, that they need to create liquidity is a reminder to investors that a poor outcome here could be dilution or even wipe out. The market has grasped to the negative bit regardless as to whether this is a likely outcome from todays RNS or not (and it’s not likely in my view).
RNS response was at best neutral to slightly negative.
Stop gap kind of RNS. Peer review process by Government should have completed by now. Any queries resolved with company by now if any. No excuse for continued TD delays.
The precursor to another positive RNS soon.
Lets hope so anyway because the wait has been painful.
The AGMs coming up soon hopefully we'll get a little bit more detail on whether shortly in taking the biscuit (geddit?)
Another company that used shortly was Nanoco on 24 January. Shortly arrived on 11 March at 2024. In this case shortly became a very long 46 days.
AAZ used the word shortly on 17 April and today marks the 47th day of shortly.
...or when they feel like it - without any specific evidence, this all has a rather political whiff to it from the start.
Has set them back several years turning the cash position around and missing the incredibly high gold prices. A real shame.
Just under 62p. Shortly must now be very very soon.
Of course carppy figures were assured and no surprise. But the good news id that have been busy and noy sitting on their backsides.
I presume everyone expected those figures after data given in the Q1 report.
I have added a few today as I get a strong feeling that the ball is about to start rolling again. Looking at the assets I think that Demerli will be up and running before the end of 2024. The Russians are gone? The locals want to get back to work after a long holiday? Just my own thoughts so do your own research.
Someone was unhappy about it. Logically a deal like it would not be arranged if the tailings dam extension was not going to be improved.
