2.75 mill shares bought from over the pond I assume after hours
In fact lots of purchases
Great price to buy. I added some at 32p. Can't believe it held all day for an easy 8% gain tomorrow while we wait for a speculative counteroffer or shenanigans.
Pappalazz,
I misunderstood this happening in the past, there is no buying after hours on our market. All buys/sells are accounted for in final SP, they are just reported after hours.
Thanks Bablake, still a lot of buys though
Don’t forget there were 21M shorts to be closed so most probably them.
I tried to prepare you lot, thousands of AA employees will be losing all their money if this deal goes through and believe me if the new bods think that it will be plain sailing when they take over they had better think again.
The reason you never see a grumpy AA patrol is because the vast majority of us love the job we do and most patrols have been in the job for many years.
Its only ever been what goes on behind the scenes that puts us down. Most of us balance the love of the job against the pressure and for me the love for what I do still wins.
You do talk a load of rubbish 3300, RAC has 8 million members and Green Flag has 5 million so saying that no one calls them is stupid.
In 2005 AA had nearly 10 million personal members now down to 3.5 million, bad leadership through the years coupled with Vulture stripping private equity companies have ruined a great institution and they walk away with millions leaving the company destitute. These immoral companies do not care about Heritage, history or the AA as a whole. just how much they can walk away with. An example is the AA training college in Nottingham, 150 years old and steeped in history, and when you walked through the double doors for the first you knew that you was a part of something great, proud to be part of a great company.
They sold it and now it is a block of flats just to line their own pockets. The AA is not the AA of old, take away the yellow badge and you are just another Green Flag member.
yeah the AA used to be really something. Genuinely socially useful organization devoted to the highest quality in all its endeavours destroyed utterly by stupidity.
and greed...
You want to be glad you don’t work for the insurance industry, fab buildings and history in every city.....first so much consolidation, followed by the city Big Bang, then de-mutualisation, guaranteed annuity scandal (especially equitable), endowment and pension mis-sales, zombie funds........bye bye way of life.....enter the PE investors
