sotonspike. Don't worry about it, You said you waited with baited breath (You were just joking ok), but I think tomorrow & Tuesday is very important, so lets all hope for the best?
I am coming here very early to be on the front row for the Mike and Dani show ( Oh yes I am ), I hope there is not too much violence.
Well done Rob, & thanks. I am not sure where you get this fighting below the belt thing from though? Just a bit of fun, so please don't take it too seriously, please? I hope I am wrong tomorrow, & soton is right, 1.30 plus is my wishful thinking prediction for tomorrow, but I will stick with my 1.27. Cheers Amigo.
Good god....what i said oh never mind.....
Hello soton. You said "If that many shares were sold with no buyers, the sp would be below £1" But there was a buyer & they bought 10% of the company, so that is why it is not only not below £1, but hopefully tomorrow way above that? They were buying, & the de- rampers were .selling? Sorry mate, but come on?
Monday close sp predictions
Sorry i had to call an emergency board meeting at short notice lol, I did have a request for it
we all know that it's just for a bit of fun to get everyone together and involved and to give their opinions, no fighting guys, but if you have to, no blows below the belt or you will be disqualified
best of luck and thanks for taking part, if I've left anyone out etc, just shout and will add or change later

Still hard to believe Dan they brought !0% of the company without an upward trend to the share price... if that many shares were sold with no buyers the share price would be below £1...sure your gonna put me right on that statement...waiting with bated breath.....
Hello sotonspike. Thank you for your post. My point about narcus saying Nick Read must be quaking in his boots, was that he made the comment after the latest, possible good news, not before which would make more sense of course? which seemed strange, so I wondered if he meant there was a threat of the Arabs taking over vod & putting him out of a job? Of course it would be nice if narcus would answer that directly? As for your 2nd point, they have already bought a 9.8% stake in vodafone. I don't know if some of you don't have access to the share news on this site, but if states this fact quite clearly. The fact that the sp has fallen simply means there are more sellers than buyers, but for every share that is sold, someone is buying it, & as there has been far more than the 9.8% stake in vod sold (total, not net sells) since they have been stake building, they have just been buying some of them? It's not rocket science is it? Thanks again though for your post. & no disrespect to Narcus. Far better to question than just moan? Happy Mondays? We hope.
Hi Dan i think what Narcus meant by Nick Read be "quaking in his boots" is he could be out of a job very soon if things don't improve as for how could they buy that many shares on the open market is a valid question still trying to figure that out myself that's 10% of the company and the shares have gone down over the last few months
Hello Narcus. I have to confess I can't understand your post. So do you think this news is good or bad?. Why would Nick Read be quaking in his boots? & Why say absolutely terrific news, Are you just being sarcastic? As for how do you buy that much? I think they already have done, or agreed to do so, haven't they ??
Are things finally moving forward for VOD? Well the new holders certainly can’t hurt the SP but let’s not forget this is VOD after all.
Now that there is almost 10% less shares to go around you would think that the SP will advance by at least that much. I personally think it will go higher than 10% on next weeks news. You don’t invest that amount of money without having an inkling of what results are going to be announced. Exciting times ahead & GLAll.
Monday ...1.25
Friday ..1.25
Included the following. The Abu-Dhabi listed group said it planned to be a long-term shareholder of vod' & was supportive of the vod' board. This further undermines the hysterical sack Nick Read posts on Friday.
Cheers Dan, and let's hope this one will do the trick for us, and as for nick share price up that's good share down no so good, that's what matters for me
Good luck to all
Will put predictions up this evening
Hi robleo. Well this is fun, 2 in 1 week. Almost as exciting as the Eurovision song contest?! I really don't know what will happen tomorrow, but I am feeling positive (no surprises there then). I will go 1.27 tomorrow & 1.29 for Friday. If it does all go tits up though, perhaps you would like to take bets on Nick Read getting the sack? Cheers.
I think Etisalat's investment underpins our share price at 130p. So, I fully expect Monday to results in a share price spike towards 130p, and a trend upwards from there. I am also cautiously optimistic regarding FY22 update on Tuesday, with stronger than expected guidance for FY23 and beyond.
There has been quite a lot of press on the Etisalat investment over weekend, but nothing like reading it from the horse's mouth. So, herewith the link:
https://eand.com/en/system/com/assets/docs/latest-announcements/2022/eand-strategic-investment-in-vodafone-group-uk-14-may-2022.pdf
Whilst they have no intentions, so they say, to make a formal bid for Vodafone - much like Drahi, I suspect they are expecting momentum to shift. Hence my 130p and above expectations of share price from hereon. Much like BT has gone above 160p. The press release also states "realise future value through potential capital gains and dividends", so they expect it to be above 130p in time as well.
The most exciting part for me is the potential commercial opportunities this brings. Both in terms of scaled procurement strategies and geographic expansions. My own sum of parts calculations suggest Vodafone should be 230p, and this investment has underpinned it further.
Enjoy the ride, whilst enjoying dividends......
Cheapsharesboy. It's nice to see someone has got the balls on here to speak out as you have instead of just hitting the filter button, but I fear you may be just wasting your time. I will wait until Monday before commenting on all the sack Nick Read hysteria of late, but if things do improve significantly some humility would be good? as for my opinion on Nick Read I will repeat, I don't know if he should be replaced because I don't do Ill informed knee jerk reactions. Good luck to all vod share holders for next week.
Newbie to VOD who was waiting for 110p, serves me right.
Monday it will rocket to 137p but close at 128p....by Friday it will close 125p and in 3 weeks it will be 122p and I will buy some. Telecoms well placed for an inflationary environment......well as well placed as a business can be.
This ignores any daft warmongering from the US/China conflict.....in which case if that escalates all bets are off.
I’m not attacking you.
I’m pointing out that you complain about the share price too much like a whining woman. You should stop such.
It is good Vodafone keeps paying dividends year after year further good news here from a new big stakeholder. So try becoming a little more positive
"sorry vodders gone a bit off track chatting about BT"
Not really, they're both in the same game.
Rob, I'll go for 120.7 Monday and 123 Friday. Ta
Exciting week!
