Holding off buying.. selling continues.
Some well below bid.
Results shortly. Time to buy some more I think. Rns shows increased holdings by those in the know?
The spread is large but if you are holding medium term and like me, you assume the discount will narrow combined with the dividend you should have much to worry about.
This isn't taking into account the possibility of sale of assets with close to NAV return.
OR a merger which would narrow the spread anyway.
I'm tempted by the discount, but the spread is very big, at over 4%
Like all similar trusts in 2023 this also got beaten up with the interest rate rises.
I note that a couple of the board of directors have recently put their hands into their pockets and bought shares.
I’ve acquired some of these but as always dyor
Thanks for your input, T.
I bought in here after reading Ian Cowie's column in The Sunday Times, big mistake I am massively down, I do however receive an OK dividend. Cowie has since sold his holding, mentioning a lack of skin in the game, by directors and the fact that output was tied up in ppa offtake agreements for an average of 14 years and so did not benefit from jump in energy prices after start of Ukraine conflict. Also note from RNS, company was effectively up for sale earlier in the year, but no takers or investors.
I notice from the chart that volume leapt in December and the share price has ticked up for the first time in over a year, perhaps with interest rates expected to fall in 2024 this is the bottom.
I will continue to hold as I do envisage some sort of recovery. Most importantly DYOR as I have found to my cost here.

Thinking about investing in this trust, as it seems cheap compared to its peers.
Anyone have any views?
Looking for a small purchase on trading 212.
No broker fees BUT the only option is USF which trade in $ .
So FX fees to buy. The spread appears the same. Namely 0.50 to 0.52$ USFP is 40p to 42p
212 FX fees are 0.15% considerable lower than Hargreaves Lansdowns 1%.
So question are you all actually USFP if not is there a significant difference?
The traded amount appear significantly higher on USFP than USF. Which should mean a bigger spread?
Very quiet on here, with the pound falling against the dollar the divi must be close to 6 percent, good for income seekers
The USD share class seems better value due to the smaller spread. But I read that they locked themselves into PPA contracts for an average term of 14.4 years so that seems to me like they will not get the benefit of rising power prices.
Sorry wrong board, although I am still watching this also.
I'm still following this, watched it fall from 71.5p to around 16.25p today.
On the sidelines but its starting to look like reasonable risk vs reward now.
P/E should read 53.98, although another source put it at 539.8.
Hello all.
I am currently considering adding USFP to my portfolio.
I already own TRIG, UKW which are similar but mainly centred around wind power.
I'm only comitting about £5000 as an inital investment so its not going to change anything for those already invested, so looking for honest unbiased advice and insights as stock information is obviously sparse.
I can see its trading towards the bottom of its 52 week average, with a P/E about 5398 which I must admit looks expensive.
At first glance as with many IPO's it seems to be still genrally falling towards a base, which as far as I can tell is likely to be somewhere between 68p and 75p.
Its latest dividend looks to be around 4.1p for 2021 and is expected to be covered by operating cash flow 2.57x.
Their latest update show energy production 7.9% below their quarterly forecast, resulting in revenue 5.9% below the forecast for the same period.
In the reporting period there were some technical issues at some sites which were resolved.
I like the idea of getting a holding in the US green energy market, via a LSE traded stock, but is this the right bus or should I wait for the next one.
Regularly tipped in the weekend papers.
and after good highlights this
• COVID-19 continues to have no material impact on USF's operating activities.
Does anyone know when dividend will be declared?
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Initial Issue was well supported by new and existing investors and has been oversubscribed.
"With President Biden recently announcing yet more ambitious carbon reduction targets, and extending Federal subsidy support, we believe the opportunity and need to invest in utility scale solar remain compelling and urgent. We would like to thank our new and existing investors for their support and look forward to updating them on further progress shortly."
I agree....the sun is shinning here......
NAV at 31 December 2020 was $194.2 million or $0.970 per ordinary share, a 1.1% increase from the 30 September 2020 .
This will no doubt keep growing. All good here.
