Rudey. Ditto my friend, and I hope
Your big enough to apologise ?
Gkb47. In my experience it’s not an update as most think.
Every determination that goes to the inspectorate will have had a) a heavy input at local level and will b) end up back at local level after the appeal. Hence the local committee level officers will always be kept abreast of the situation.
You’ll also find the inspectorate has issued a programme (see the actual appeal online), which is now approaching further documents to be submitted (again hence the update to officers)
The local officers and committee members will not be up to speed as maybe the chair will, (as they will be determining other applications in the meantime so simply don’t have time)so at various intervals the chair will update the
Members as to the current state of play and actions needs approaching the hearing (if any).
Once approved (if approved), it will come back to
Local committee level to push through final approvals - hence they always need “updating”
It doesn’t just go to the planning inspectorate (appeal officer) gets approved and that it. Once appeal is won, it’s back to local committee to facilitate the works and progress any “conditions” imposed by the inspectorate
This is all easily available on line if people look and research.
If tomorrow the council decide to not fight the appeal, when it is disclosed I'll find whatever bb you're hiding on Spike, and remind you you've got your head up your arse.
Since when did I ever invest 55k in UKOG?!
I haven’t been in that for years and when I was I think it was a couple of grand at most
Please keep to facts. If your trying to call someone out at least use facts
Not even sure what that post was all about to be honest given we weren’t even talking about UKOG
Spike If you did invest 55K in UKOG what are you now 10-15K down?
Planning is very tedious and if you are the expert that you profess, it would explain why you are so Dull and Boring.
However for the rest of us what another great day it looks like the brakes are off and we could see 0.35p before the end of the week.
I have so much money now and I was thinking about investing in UKOG to reduce my tax burden with a few loses lol
Royoboy it’s how the world and business goes round my friend ;-)
People are also getting hung up on costs as leverage to the local authority. On the basis of knowledge sharing there is only a very limited cost you can recover. Suggest reading the following document

MF2017. Sadly these boards do tend to be rather one sided at times. You try share genuine knowledge but more often than not those without the experience or knowledge in the subject matter (and often to lazy to go and research themselves) slate those trying to have open discussions, and share they knowledge to help others make informed decisions, or simply learn. We all learn from each other, that’s the great thing about these boards at times, but more often than not you’ll get those that have their own blinkered view and refuse to listen to others.
You can see how the hype starts, one twitter post and the world is all suddenly planning experts. Just wish some would take the time to even google the terminology and look at the programme from the planing inspector (easily found online) and they would answer many of their own questions.
The local authority has already issued their statement of case to the inspector
But one thing you can guarantee....you’ll never get an apology on these boards when it turns out to be nothing ;-)
That aside, a good day here and looking good for a rising week.
Hi Spike,
Thanks for the informed posts.
I called Egdon today to ask about this. The gent I spoke to said that Spring Road was more important than Wressle, which would seem to chime with your posts in that it may explain why he didn't seem enthusiastic about tomorrow's meeting. I appreciated his replies to my questions I am trying to do my own research.
I bought a new tranche in EDR today as I don't see it trending much lower... Def not below 4p. (I KNOW... ANOTHER BOARD) as my original entry price is still to high. It has helped average down for me now. I hold in UJO too, but I feel it's too risky for me to top up now as my original entry for UJO was considerably less and despite the enthusiasm feel the gradual growth will slow down now without the prospect of any further news till Q3.
Whatever....
The appeal will proceed whatever the council decide. But if it's uncontested it should easily pass.
Ok chaps. Ok.
You are wrong my friend (and I don’t say that as a dig). I have spent over 20 years around planning law and have in fact only recently been through a large appeal on a substantial scheme, meeting planning consultants daily at one point.
I would suggest you research the planning process (genuinely)
Spike is stickystock81 on Twitter.
You're wrong spike. They will be deciding whether or not to contest the appeal. Hopefully they'll decide against contesting, and we would hear once they'd notified Egdon Resources of their decision. If they decide to proceed, we won't hear anything, as nothing will have changed.
Hence the word “update”
Also once it’s with the Appeal Officer (The Planning a inspectorate), the decision process is taken out of the local councils hands. Only the PI can now determine this, which will be November as planned
It’s common to have these on the agenda, as ultimately the PI decision will dictate the next steps and involvement the planning committee at local level will have (hence this keep abreast with the situation). It could also influence future planning determinations
Thanks. As I say it will be a simple committee update as to progress with appeal officer
Will be talked about and done in about 10 min and moved on.
If it’s with the appeal officer it is out of their hands. It’s just on the agenda as an item for update for members as to current status.
Please people, DYOR on the planning system. This is NOT anything of interest
But I will be shot down for sharing my knowledge of planning, but please don’t expect an RNS
Wait for the minutes and we will see if I am correct
It’s all stemmed from twitter yet again with sheep following without DYOR on the matter
Sorry to sound frank, but it’s all over twitter and now here. It really is nothing so consider this when investing on the hope of some magic turn around RNS on this subject this week
GLa
I see...Well I guess i’ll read about any news tomorrow evening/Thursday.
I can also not see any meeting at 2pm on north links website either. The only link is a planning committee meeting 530pm
Tomrorow isn’t the appeal hearing. It’s proceedural for the planning committee meetings which will sit on a regular basis. It’s just as UJO is on it by default, people are suddenly thinking something is happening
Councils are not in the habit of “changing their mind” at this stage. It’s gone to the appeal officer
This meeting is the regular committee meeting. Nothing will be coming from this meeting
Happy to be wrong but being involved in planning myself I know the procedure
So tomorrow’s meeting overturns the original decision/no Objections, the SP moves up? if the decision remains the same, the sp stays the same/carries on its merry way as of the last week?
Hope that makes sense.
Any leak of no objection or is confirmed by rns tomorrow, this should go flying. 100% plusvrise is possible and that's before ewt.
Ia we find out soon.
