Depressed lot aren't we myavian lol. Only 27 posts.
I would say more controlled excitement than depressed actually. By april the controlled part may have disappeared
Well Peeps, we're back in the 0.6's and I can literally smell C23PO stirring.
I'll rephrase I don't think it's a black Swan I csn see it miles off and many on here hope for it. I think they will sell it or spin it as a black Swan event like we didn't know it would cause a recession BS like they are blaming inflation on putin and not 10years of QE
@smiller - whilst I suspect you are probably correct about the FED backing down about interest rate hikes, I see that as sufficiently predictable as to not count as a black swan event for many economists have been suggesting this for a while.
Who knows what might be in the future but there are an awful lot of nations that are arguably insolvent and only surviving on free liquidity and the support of their neighbours. When nations fall apart economically, history suggests that their people elect radical political leaders with extreme views and a desire to re-write the rule book if not geographical boundaries. True black swan events come from out of nowhere as total surprises and so can only be reacted to after the event.
Yeah I reckon the Fed will pivot. Not a black swan but likely at some point given their track record. It's clear that the last thing everyone needs now is higher interest rates when a good deal of the issues are supply related.
It's a pain to see the MMs always walking this down on low volume. It's not like a mass exodus tbh.
The black Swan event although I do think will be predictable will be the fed cutting rates after they get to 2% or something. That signals no control of inflation and I'd hope to see everyone take a position in PMs right now it's predicted that hedge funds only have 0.5% weight to PMs when the mean is 2% historically
@norm - like you I'd gladly take steady boring growth over another crazy spike. - however whilst I do believe the "value" of the company may grow steadily I suspect the SP may continue to stagnate for a while longer.
Rightly or wrongly I've previously suggested that I see April 2023 as a possible point for a gradual change in sentiment, I'll just have to wait and see if it manifests as a gradual increase in SP. However the nature of "black swan" events is that they can't be predicted in advance where I do believe that in today's unstable economy such events are becoming more probable; that something unexpected will eventually cause a big swing in sentiment. This in turn may cause the markets to dramatically re-evaluate where they see value, and maybe even what they define as value. Something which is unlikely to be supportive of stable markets with gradual changes in share prices.
In short I don't see a way out of the current macro-economic problems that doesn't involve a lot more volatility, and when things get stormy it is the smallest boats on the ocean that get blown around the most.
Agree steady increase is always better than spiking. Investment is more likely to come from HNWI's than II's. Australia has plenty of these people who know the DSO co.'s and will be watching. Suppose the question is, would you put more of your cash in now?
Well said HH. For me I think UFO now sits in the steady growth catagory rather than spike on news. In my humble opinion I think we are now past the zero sum drill events that many small companies have. Perhaps Mexico might still be in that territory, but it's not the main prize anymore.
I don't think we will see a single move to higher prices, it's more likely to grow steady / trend higher as we get closer and closer to that all important revenue. If you look at what iron ore presents as a product it's steady and boring. UFO could reflect that with steady growth year on year for the foreseeable future.
Frankly I would happily take steady boring growth and a slow rerate over another destructive spike.
Superb commentary h.h.
I think you have said it all there, far better than i could.
We need the investment of the larger financial bodies and we will see that( in my opinion) once they can see a return.
That may start to trickle in on news of permission to mine.
I'm sure someone posted a similar timeline from application to permission as around six months.
So late summer. On the newsfront we are getting plenty of nice pictures on twitter but not enough meat on the bones regarding results. Good news from Elizabeth hill and mexico are well overdue if we want to see a small lift in the s.p.
Something big is going to happen here its coming to the boil - we are 2 big now to be a wee fish u agree HH?
I agree totally with you HH. Many investors both large and small will be selling in the downturn market wide.
The old addage ' cash is king', has never been more appropriate.
But the same savvy people will pile in to any serious RNS. I feel UFO really will soon be such a share.
I look forward to the herd piling in as soon as we get tangeable possitive RNS's
:-)
I've always worked on the notion that external macro-economics governs the number of potential investors looking at a particular sector or company, internal company news governs the number of those potential investors that commit cash and become actual investors. Company specific news has to be of an extreme nature before it is picked up upon and widely reported beyond its usual audience.
General sentiment for most financial investments is low at the minute as folk fear recession, sentiment for risk-on assets like junior minerals explorers is all but non-existent.
UFO are doing their bit and putting out a steady flow of positive news, but to some extent, despite all the investor presentations and news releases, it seems they are largely talking to their existing investors.
We know how our SP can move when the wider markets decide to get behind the junior exploration sector, but until then whether we call it low morale or not, most here have come to accept that we may have to wait a while for our positive progress to bring financial rewards.
Silver manipulation by jpmorgan and banksters is a joke now.. we are here for what? 2p ..2.5p for all assets??
Yep it gives me no pleasure that EUA has more or less retraced the whole lot. It was a great story until that twat Putin decided to ruin it. I did really well on those shares, but sold the last lot i had on moral grounds..
But it's a massive lesson about jurisdiction. I always said to the wife that EUA could carry that extra risk being Russian. I never would have predicted the current situation though.
UFO has many risks, but Australia / Mexico invading thier neighbors isn't really one of them thank goodness.
Hanc0ck production is getting so close now, the weeks / months are ticking down. Fingers crossed we get more juicy information by the end of summer. Then we move into the business end of the project.
I think moral is fine if you want to see low moral go over to EUA what a **** show over there , feel bad for them , what a drop from the highs ! Thinks nice and steady here considering just letting Bill get that DSO ready behind the scenes
Morale is fine. They will announce the mining permission as soon as they get it. That's what I'm waiting for . Could be a while yet. The drill results from mexico probably won't have an effect.
I think you are right Myavian only 3 posts in total over the whole weekend, but there is nothing to talk about, just wait.
Maybe they have stopped paying the regular posting culprits. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol
What happened to copy pasting entire chunks of RNS? And only 2 people posting a link to the pdf. Is morale getting low?
The way i see it is all fundamentals are still with the company and its only got stronger over time. All explorations/junior miners are down due negative sentiment towards the market along with recesssion blooming I guess investor are waiting for news before investing but just my opinion I'm just being patient, it's annoying me at the moment but when it starts rising all the anonymous will be forgotten.
At some point soon, they will receive 'permission to mine'.
Such a concrete RNS will I feel start the rapid upward movement of SP.
For what it's worth, I still don't think any type of news is going to move this share at present, other than going into production or Jv.
I will just repeat what I have said previously, I do think September time will see movement of the share price based on future anticipated income, from the markets.
This is provided that Alien keep all their ducks in line.
Just remember the markets value this on present facts, as of today the price is about right.
I am sure your Eminance would never swear.
I was being a bit too cleaver and I apologies. I'm just miffed at the current SP. I'm looking at other opportunities and have already done quite well within the past week although I'm still cross ramping UFO wherever I can.
I'm also looking at my stash of silver bullion thinking "you've outstayed your welcome.." A visit to eBay might prove beneficial.
I can't swear due to my recent "pilgrimage" (but I really want to)
Yeah a little underwater but nowhere near as much as some especially those savvy investors that bought in on the last placement :) happy to take some comfort from that one. Mexico news isn't far away hopefully the delay isn't because the assays aren't mind blowing
