When driving along, I find there's a fool at every corner - and sometimes two.
It's always been a fact that 49.99999% of people are dumber than the average person and 49.9999% of people are smarter than the average person. This will not change as long as humans live.
I enjoyed it.
Can it be true that average student UK IQ score is under 100? Oh dear!
Thanks fo the link.
I think the internet being used primarily for social media, and probably a component of “I can just look it up” changes to the education system which seem to focus more on forming the thoughts of kids instead of increasing their hard skills is the underlying reason behind it. Funny that they mentioned that film, which is over the top, but you can see the associations to the trends already anyway.
The world in general has gone soft, and how uninformed people feel about things seems to now be much more important than the actual facts related to things, Nuclear Power being the prime example.
I only need another 30 years or so before everything goes off a cliff, and I’ll be happy. Then I’ll be 80, and can just go jump off a cliff to check out. Until then, I’d like the world to function to provide the goods and services I need to buy to stay alive and have fun.
We need a lot of people to work to keep the wheels turning while we are spending the proceeds from our oil and gas production. This is probably one of the biggest challenges we face.
Thought you might enjoy this, MJ :

And let’s not forget that Heritage is now paying for 20% of the costs now as well.
Wonder if there is any financing possibility there for a well or two?
Thought didn’t cross my mind, but I guess it takes one to know one Buffy. Thanks for input.
I’m constantly working on my tendency to over estimate the intelligence of the general population, and it is constantly being revised downwards at an ever increasing rate, especially the last couple years. There’s not much hope left, and while I used to think I wanted to live forever, I’m starting to wonder if the world is going to turn into a place not worth living in before I die.
Idiocracy is a comedy about dumbing down, that is sadly turning more and more into a documentary about where we are heading.
“ Some people don’t get it even if it’s written on their foreheads and they’re looking at a mirror.”
That’s because not everyone can read letters when they are backwards.

Average Lemming.
That'll be me!
Anyway, There's some really good posters on here.
MJ thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I think a lot of folk saw the RNS and thought that Royston was effectively a duster, with just the 'crappy rock' at the bottom. It certainly surprised, and for many, not in a good way after Paul said it was amazing and expecting a gas discovery. 50bopd wasn't what was hyped. Never mind the upper untested interval could be 200ft thick and 5 square miles! Can understand if you can't read between the lines, are impatient, and see the price dropping. Initial impressions can be wrong, and I'm more interested in how the company views it, which is two large discoveries, to be developed ASAP.
Monkey_Junkey, I sometimes think being clued up is a real handicap in this game. Just being average seems to work, or better still, be an average lemming.
When test 3 comes in good with oil, I can only imagine the banks are going to be fighting with each other to lend money to TXP to get the development drilling running as fast forward as possible. Wouldn’t be surprised if we end up on 3 drill rigs in 2022.
The price of the debt, and the price of the wells here with very simple topside equipment required is ridiculously low, me as MT pointed the opex for higher production figures, are going to be much lower than for legacy production, which means higher net backs. We might be sitting on billions of dollars in netbacks for just this well, and the company is market half a billion, which doesn’t even cover all the other stuff we have found already.
I really don’t understand why the market doesn’t get it.
I really don’t understand why a lot of people are now happy when before Paul’s video, they were unhappy. He just reiterated what was said, and what was said between the lines in the RNS. The RNS is all we needed, and should have rocketed on, but I guess we just wait for the next test results before Christmas before everyone rally can admit to themselves that they “get it”.
Some people don’t get it even if it’s written on their foreheads and they’re looking at a mirror.
