'Has anyone else got any low points in Trakm8'
I lost the best part of £40,000 in one day when they announced the profit warning back in 2019.
That was a very low day !!
Yes, GLA - hopefully tomorrow will draw a line under the (incorrect) idea that this company is doomed.
Well, there you have it then. Highest close in 2 years.
Good luck for tomorrow everybody.
Let's hope that somehow this time it's different.
Feels it, but you never know.
If it closes at 24.5 then it will be the highest in two years....
I think it was the same moment. I'll never forget the upbeat Furber presentation followed extremely shortly after by Nov Iran moment. Extraordinary.
not sure why the price is showing as it is. It's actually 24.5p. Not bad going into tomorrow, if it holds.
I agree with you - we went from 1 million units AGM to the Iran crisis in a very short period of time....
What I do know from the charts is if you look at how trakm8 increased to over £4 back in the day.
It won't take much interest to drive a material increase
All the sellers left a couple of years back due to the well documented issues.
Iran was my lowest point I put my head in my hands
Has anyone else got a trakm8 low point??
*I believe Tom Winnifrith used to cover Trakm8 a lot as well, though be it not positively !*
Yes, this is true!
Unfortunately, I don't know much about charts either (if they even apply here). I do however know Trakm8's history of non-committal / opaque updates that don't tend to say very much at all. I'm hoping that tomorrow will be different for a couple of reasons:
1. I think JFW and Co, are pretty keen to unload the business and would therefore expect the 'sales job' underpinning this to begin in tomorrow's update - i.e., make the business look like the turn around story it purports to be.
2. They haven't really provided proper forward-looking guidance for some time now and the research note suggests that they are in a better position to do so.
3. (and this isn't really a point), as you noted the other day, this feels a bit different - there's renewed optimism in the sector and also an impetus for consolidation- Trakm8 may become one of the stories in this.
I believe Tom Winnifrith used to cover Trakm8 a lot as well, though be it not positively !
*Does this share get any coverage on other bb and or twitter????*
Not anymore really. Paul Scott used to be a fan, but dropped off, when the share price tanked.
All the institutions bailed back in 2018.
The recent coverage is the first I've seen in a longtime.
Not a bad start to the week.
I will be happy with 1.5p everyday for the ....err say 10 weeks
Does this share get any coverage on other bb and or twitter????
"Still, it's important to remain cautious. I feel like I've been here before." - feels different to me - because of the broker note, Microlise, the fact the company is still here and the continued volume (ok, not high amounts but sustained).
Microlise purchased TruTac and to my knowledge they still remain an independent business, so Trakm8 could come under the Microlise umbrella with business as usual.
Personally, I hope Trak get to a siilar market cap as the others - needs to clear it debt and make some money.
Mansfield:
"We’re looking forward to the coming months and years of our partnership with Stiltz and excited for the opportunities ahead"
Doesn't sound like Trakm8 is about to be unloaded.
I'm starting to wonder whether a full-scale turn around (rather than a sale) is the more likely outcome here.
Still, it's important to remain cautious. I feel like I've been here before.
Meanwhile...
